It was a great interview until Dami skirted around any acknowledgment regarding his treatment to Tasha. I just wish he took ANY accountability and said yeah I regret how I handled things. When tasha said she and Andrew were gonna leave the villa because they couldn’t handle anymore, clearly it was more than just misconstrued “honesty”……

He should thank JayZ… average man who cheats on a woman who is out of his league and is forgiven… for reasons that are beyond me.

Dami was hands down my favorite- Not sure why he doesn't get more acknowledgment. He's insightful, smart, funny, honest, down to earth, real, quirky in a way that doesn't hit you at first glance but instead surprises you, charismatic, and probably one of the most insanely stunning and perfect looking humans I've ever seen.

So 15 mins in and I just have to comment because they’re talking about #blacklove. Dami is right, love is love and I don’t think it should be tied to a race. But the reason why black love is a thing is because we’ve seen black women, on these shows, portrayed as the least desirable. The white men they pick for these shows typically have no interest in black women. And the black men prefer white women to black women. Even on this season of Love Island, it was disturbing to see that none of the white men were into Indiyah despite how stunningly beautiful she is. Except for Deji and Dami, Indiyah didn’t really have a pick of the litter like the other non-black women did. So to see that Dami, a black man, a dark skin black man at that chose her above all others was a beautiful thing to watch. So I’m all for love is love but it will never be love is love until they even the playing field for black women. Especially on these dating shows.

I'm I the only one that has noticed that it's only Dami and Indiyah as a couple who are yet to make TV appearances for an interview despite making third place they just get setup for podcasts.I'll be surprised if they even get a magazine spread . Sometimes I think that the 3rd spot was so that LI doesn't get backlash.UK is deep in the pits and everyone just moves like it's normal.

I really don’t think Luca’s comments were ever that deep.. for example, when Adam had to pick first, Luca said “spice it up pick ekin” and everyone laughed. He obviously knew Adam would never pick Ekin and he was just kidding.. I feel like him saying “what if 5 of you brought girls back” was just him joking around.. they’re grown adults and can make their own decisions and I really don’t think he actually thought his comments would have an influence on them and he was just chatting shit. But I can understand why Dami reached a point where he was annoyed.. I still stand by the fact that Dami was projecting his guilt though.

Unpopular opinion on here and twitter but people are so mad that Gemma didn’t dump Luca straight after the show like they’d been saying all series. The narrative was that it was one sided and she wasn’t into him that much Now after the show we can clearly see that isn’t true. And an edited show pushes certain narratives that aren’t always true. Toby of all people should know that. She seems 100% happier out of the villa and ironically with Luca. People can claim anything they want but with all the bad attention he’s gotten, even after the Remi situation, she’s still happily with him. That backlash was bad for her brand but she didn’t care one bit. Because she is actually into him Not only that but you have every ex islander confirming she is. From Charlie, Afia, Antigoni, Deji, Summer, Josh, Nataliah, Paige, Ekin, Danica and Jamie, Tasha, Andrew, to Dami just now. Every islander says the same thing. At what point are people gonna let the being held hostage narrative go.

This was a great episode, and well done for trying to ask some of the harder questions too. You're nice and friendly, so as long as you find a way to ask good questions without attacking the contestants, this podcast could become one of the best Love Island podcasts out there! :) Also, love how funny, honest and lowkey nice Dami is! He made the podcast even more interesting.
