Damian Lillard: Best Offensive Player in the NBA? 

I’ve thought Dame was the second best shooter of all time for years now. My eyes tell me he’s the second best shooting talent ever behind Steph and, as you mentioned, he’s had seasons (specifically 2020) where his range, volume, degree of difficulty and efficiency has only ever been exceeded by Steph. Those two can simply shoot better and in more ways than anybody else has ever been able to.

​@Precisism His 2020 season was the best deep range shooting dispaly of all time. Now ofc Steph is the best shooter of all time but imo deep range shooting could go either way. nobody has ever shot from 30+ at that volume while staying really efficient than Dame in 2020.

​@Precisism Same here. I honestly find it wild that people actually think Klay is a better all time 3 point shooter than Dame when Klay is pretty much just a catch and shoot guy. Klay isn't capable of taking or making the type of highly contested off the dribble threees the Dame makes in a nightly bases. Ain't no one picking Klay up at half court 🤣 lol.

Bird deserve number 2 spot he isnt called basketball jesus for nothing. He literally has made clutches shots all the time. And was the 3 point champ 3 years in a row. Lilard is a clutch shooter but thats it. Larry bird is a bigger play maker and passer then anyone but magic. And Steph is better because of his range and ISO . Bird doesnt have the range of lilard and Stephen but like i said earlier he didnt need to when you can always make plays and passes from beyond the arc or in the paint surrounded by defenders. People sleep on bird because they only remember injured back Larry bird but in his prime no one could guard or stop him.

@@iGucik bro Larry is not shooting the same shots Dame is and making them at that clip. Im not talking about all that other stuff. That’s like saying bron is a better shooter cuz he’s better at all that stuff and clutch too. Volume and efficiency mixed with difficulty of shots is what I’m saying.

In term of difficulty Dames 3s a way better than Stephs..having best screens for Steph and having Klay on his team helps him..not saying he isnt #1 best shooter..but Dame is second, but in terms of difficulty and clutchness Dame is #1

Steph has never made a clutch shot. He's like 0 for 14. I mean probably way more. I remember seeing that stat a couple years ago.

@@AK-qo6tx he might not but He’s said 1000 times he’d rather not win a chip than switch teams constantly for an easy one. Dudes the last of a dying breed.. He’s averaging 31 points and 8 assists with one of the best assist/turnover margins in the league he’s definitely not selfish

Highly agree. People overlook him either because he plays for Portland or they think he's just a steph wannabe but the shots he makes, let alone the countless clutch performances and shots that he has had in his career, the speed at which he plays, and his killer instinct and scary calmness on the court make him one of the most dangerous players this game has ever seen. As far as "mamba mentality" goes, he is the closest thing this league currently has to that right now.

@@AdamxAudra how? Dame is having a better scoring season and their playmaking at this stage in their careers is pretty similar. Bron isn’t able to cover the scoring gap with his sleight defensive advantage (they’re both sleight-medium negatives though)

Uh, both are great players. Hard to say for this season, I believe Dame will have the better career. But for now? People don't see Dame play that much. I would not choose one over the other. Both are essential to their teams success and IMO that's what really matters.
