This song captures the absolute feeling of helplessness you feel when you care about someone so much that it breaks your heart, yet they carry so much damage that they can't ever allow you into their heart or ever allow them to be yours. That the darkness they live is the only comfort they will ever know or allow themselves.

I saw this video by accident - it hadn't even hit the market yet. I absolutely-absolutely fell deeper in love with him and his music in that moment.
