when I see singer-songwriters like Damien getting recognition for his work, I do believe in the world. cheers for the people who still can see the talent of guy who write songs with his heart, not with his wallet.
And about that French part, I don't consider it gibberish, although I'm French : it's clearly loose, but it captures a mood, and is hauntingly evocative. I always loved this part.
I’ve been watching this video for over 10 years and have yet to find anything on RU-vid that equals it. I am confident I’ll feel the exact same way 10 years from now.
What a great performance...By the end, Damien is actually impersonating Edith Piaf, just like he did Bob Dylan earlier on. He is joking, and at the same paying hommage, in his own way. Strong influences.
@ 5:20 and onwards makes me feel like I'm part an ending from a happy indie movie lol. In other words a huge smile just plants itself on my face during the whole song.
love this version, first damo song i learned on the guitar, i miss the fun, happy dude, you can see it in this vid, seems his humour left with the band.....shame, still great tho!
And I don't see what all the fuss is about? At O & B-Sides this song is called "The Professor & La Fille Danse" but it doesn't matter, just enjoy it :-)
this is such a good clip i mean this song(s) is amazing on b sides but you can tell damo is having soo much fun with this can anyone tell me where to get all the clips from this gig
I bought on iTunes the song "professor" and at the end there is a part of "la fille danse" but lot shorter from the one from this video, is there a song called "la fille danse"? or damien and lisa extended it for gigs?
@jositoxxx1 Their French isn't terrible. I can understand what their saying but Lisa was better than Damien for sure. I've seen Damien speak French almost fluently before though but for some reason when he does the extended La Fille Danse it just sounds like jibberish to me. :D
