@@punisha4032 fight night champion is globally known as the best fight night your 1% of the population opinion isnt gonna change minds its a stupid opinion
The haymaker system never made sense to me, the fact a normal hook is like a tap on the shoulder to your opponent while a "haymaker" turns you into Mike Tyson is so ass backwards.
loved round 1 and 4. I won all 3 belts online people were pissed cuz instead of alot of the fight nights you could actually win by using realistic boxing. Was real good fighting off the ropes or as casual say (running) using jab and foot work. Didn’t have to do the arcardy spammig/brawling
The only part I found fun about playing this game was watching the AI fight eachother. Other then that fighting an AI that throw all haymakers(Overpowered) and your punches doing no damage unless it's a haymaker or a power uppercut isn't fun. That's not boxing. Boxing is about technique and combinations, not throwing a haymaker everytime you throw.
Round 2 was fun, but it wasn't a good boxing game. It felt more like the Knockout King games on the PS2. '04 was the best boxing game until round 4 and Champion was released.
Daaamn. My dad bought me this game for my gamecube. We use to play it all day long, he choosed RobertoDuran and Ali, and I used Rocky Marciano and Roy jones almost everytime lol. He died at the beggining of this year and this kind of memories makes me appreciate him and love him and of course miss him. Thanks for the vid, Martial. you da man.
Fight night 2000 is the number 1 boxing game for me from the past, " smooth jab by larry holmes". I loved fight nifgt 3 for vita and i really liked champions.
Fight Night 3 is better but has very few real fighters. The PS3/ Xbox version of Fight Night 3 was really good in my opinion. It's a lot slower but fights actually go the distance.
IMO I like this game I grew up with it i played several hours on it I believe if you the total punch u get more power in your punches you'll find that out when u play round 3 also round 4 broke that and made it back to when it wasn't so TPC dependent
its an ok game but the computer on normal gets up from everything and my thumb hurts from doing like a 1000 haymakers. I actually like the boxing a bit better than round 3 because its faster.
Round 2 was the first Fight Night I played and always thought it was dope lol. But yeah, unless you get a flash KO, Fight Night can go on for what seems like forever 🤣
Bro, why the hell should I HAVE to throw freaking haymakers to do damage in a boxing game? If I have to throw haymakers in your boxing game, it's shit imo. Especially when the first game didn't demand you throw haymakers.
EA is trash Man I just want my xbox unlinked from an old account and they wont help me. They send non logical answers and hop out of the webchat when they are bored. Hate it so much.
What! You weren't playing the game right. You need to master the haymaker in this game and mix it up with soft punches LoL. Once you master the haymakers the game will change. Master the haymaker and play again
@@MartialMind What? It's the same with any sports combat game you have to master certain things to be good at the game. You play ufc games and there you have to learn a lot more things LoL. They introduce the haymaker in this game, that's how you throw impactful punches that you'll feel. You think you're gonna pick up the esports boxing game and just throw punches
@@MartialMind oh this game brings back memories... i used to play it with my dad on the ps2. He beat my ass for years till i grew up and got my revenge haha. The tip i can give you is that the game was designed to be played with the full punch control( right stick). you could actually control how hard you wanna load up on your uppercuts and haymakers, which if you do, does more damage. There's also a minigame before the fight where you hit the bag, combo dummy or weight lift...and depending on what you chose, your fighter changes appearance lol, its quite cool. And heal the swelling and bleeding manually during the breaks, its quite a unique system
@@Glegolas98 Yeah he wants to criticize a game that he hasn't even learn the mechanics of LoL. The newer games have the haymaker modifier. He plays ufc he knows but he wants to criticize this one.
@@ronin3635 They ruined it when they brought in the Haymaker system for casuals. That made it a more arcade game. Go watch boxing fanaticos vid on 2004.
Floyd was still with Top Rank when this game was developed so EA had the rights to put him in the game, like they did with Top Rank's other fighters (I.E Pacquiao)
And when I say I walk em down and dog walk my opponents with strategic boxing smart jab then later start to break my opponent down with constant pressure and combination punches to head and body haymakers mixed with regular punches preferably jab and straights to set up haymaker shots
Martial tripping and crazy you don’t use the analog stick for FNR2 for power shots. Every Fight Night fan knows round 2 was one of the best games in the franchise.
@@ScrotumJoe34 Nope, he is using buttons instead of analogue sticks so he literally cant throw haymakers. In regards to parrying, im gonna assume he doesnt know how to do them
the problem with this game is that they emphasized the use of the haymaker punch waaay too much, making regular punches feel so week. 2004 has way better replay value than round 2 and 3 imo
Against a skilled opponent, this would get you killed quickly since your stamina would be fooked in like 3-4 rounds and haymakers are easily parried which leads to a counter.
The one thing people forget to mention about this game is you can train them before the fight speed, power, or balanced. If you trained for power they look more bulked up.
You need to use modifier buttons to increase damage if you’re using punches on the buttons. The total punch control on the right stick gives you the best simulation experience.
I'm telling you, this game was built to use the ANALOG FOR HAYMAKERS! Lol, but I don't remember it looking this bad. Lmao yikes. My first experience with a boxing game. I had a game cube at the time. Best game experience I ever had up to that point. Loved the way your three punches with the analogs. You could control the power of your shots so much more fluidly. I loved everything about this game.
Round 3 is definitely better than this game, you'll actually see a hit reaction on the opponent, but the freeze/counter window after a punch is parried is just ridiculous.
The only thing I like with this game over R3 was the speed gap with a power puncher vs a speed puncher. Power punchers in R3 were soooo slow like damn!
FNR2 was amazing. The problem is that the game was made to be used with the right stick to throw punches Not the BUTTONS. If you know how to rock the stick in the right Rhythm you can throw fast combos. The game rewards you for using the right stick. And no not just for haymakers. The real players know what im talking about.
I don't know if anyone else told you yet but no you cannot backfist and boxing but those are one of the illegal blows that you can throw in that boxing game...you can either knee them in the nuts or head butt or throw a elbow to the Head as well 😂
No, backfists aren't allowed, the thing I loved about this game is that you could do illegal strikes to them like backfists, crotch shots, knees, and elbows.😂
I loved this game, the controls were very easy and the haymakers were so OP, especially getting hit by one of them lol. I can see why people say this game ruined it probably because of the free use of the haymakers. The ragdolls looked and felt better because they added more weight onto the characters unlike 2004 where they just jellied and fell limp. This game was my childhood and my favorite fight night ever as 2004 coming in as a close second, (sometimes its first).
This was the best boxing game ever, absolute control of the blocking and counters. Plus the stamina and health bars were the best. I always enjoyed kissing down there stamina, then picking my opponent apart when they had no stamina. And the cuts/bleeding was cool too. I like more gore but I would work on one area and make them bleed. So fun, wish they made one just like it, with the same controls... It would be the best.
day number 2 of asking martial mind how about you make a series on ufc undisputed 3 and you got event mode and you make fights that never happened like gsp vs wanderlei silva and rampage jackson brock lesner vs chuck liddell chuck liddell vs cain velasquez and some fights fights that could never happend like brock lesner vs demetrious johnson or jose aldo but you have the cpu play it
He don't know how to play, his configurations were all wrong. You're supposed to have it on swing not overhead because you can't see your punches well. I think configuration 5 might be the best for counters and total body, punches and overall control. You will see how different it is once you get the more comfortable configurations. It's a super awesome game, I was pissed when they made fight night champion with only able to punch with the joystick
I was the only one in my day that felt this game was a step down from round 1. Leave it to EA to drop the ball, smh! Round 1 was the best. Fight Night Champion comes in 2nd. I was so turned off by round2 that I don't even remember playing round 3.
Ehhh this was a horrible way to experience this game. Picked arguably the worst port, you're trying to make the controls play like fight night champion when it's not the same game, you didn't train the fighter beforehand, and you weren't even using any of the punch modifiers, you didnt do the cutman in the corner, ngl your opinion on this game is sorta worthless considering you arent playing like 75% of the game. Disappointing video
Yo I love watching your content now that your not playing ufc 4 keep it up brother I still watched ufc 4 vids four you but now I can enjoy the game and your personality
Movement and punching is way too fast in this game. Every fight I play ends in a knockout around 6th or 7th round even on hard. They needed to slow it way down.
I feel like the only reason he liked fn1 better was cause he didn't spend enough time learning the controls. And using the stick is a much better way to punch.
im not sure but i have seen something like a backfist but on jabs but thats a really small mouvement at the end i dont know how to explain properly im not english but hope someone see what i mean
