what i think is utterly adorable is the fact damon didn’t push elena into loving him back in season 6 he let her fall in love with him on her own pace and didn’t force her to kiss or hug him even though he hadn’t seen her in months, if that isn’t love than i don’t know what is

That's one of the reasons I shipped them from the beginning. They built their foundation, as Stefan did with Caroline. Trust, understanding, forgiveness, support. So many great qualities while they were friends. Damon's openness was one of the first qualities I noticed and liked about him, and I think their first meeting had a lot to do with it. He wanted her to get everything she was looking for, then Stefan entered her life pretending to be human. He's biting Vicki and leaving her in a place where she'd be found, doing vampire tricks and offering Elena to look at their photo albums. He told Stefan the town needed a wake up call, four months after Elena said nothing bad happens in Mystic Falls. She invited the Ripper into her house.
Dude! Yes, it’s such a breath of fresh air to see people that ship Delena for the exact same reasons I do. Cause it’s true she new every single bad thing he’s ever done and even saw him do bad; yet still she was unconditionally in love with him he consumed her lol 🤷🏻♀️

Damon is Elena’s humanity obviously, he has been there since day one. He gave her everything she wanted a love that consumed her, adventure, and even a little bit of danger. They were made for each other, broken alone, whole together. The best OTP ever! They are real, messy but real.

No one can ever make Elena happier then Damon the same goes to him Damon should have trusted her when she told him she will love him even what terribly things he had done in the past she will always love him no matter what later he understood that he was worth loving for no matter what he had done in the past 👊👊👊😍😍😍 Stefan was so right when he told to Elena this WHEN DAMON DIED A PART OF YOU DIED TOO that is so totally completely right Stefan it really was that to Elena that's why she wanted to forget about him and how much she really did loved him In season 3 I couldn't understand what she really saw in him it wasn't until she lost him I really understood why she loved him so much even more then Stefan, Damon was always the right man for her from the beginning even if it took her some time to see that
That's right. And the REAL first time they met was on the night when her adoptive parents died drowning, I can see from that moment, they fell for each other, only if Damon didn't compel her to forget.
Funny enough I’ve said this before Damon is the better man and someone laughed and commented on my post saying that he wasn’t. But honestly they don’t see what I see, he was always there for her challenged her made her love and embellish her dark side. She made him feel human and he made her feel alive in death.
First, Remember TVD is a fictional story. A TV Show. Second, I've always said, TVD was a story about two brother's & their lifes journey after becoming vampires. Third, Elena, Matt, Jer, Caroline, Alaric, etc. became a part of that journey. Mystic Falls was where Stefan & Damon were born. It was where they met Katherine & we know how she ruined their lives. But as we see their journey unfold we learn that Silas sealed Katherine's fate by his betrayal & Katherine sealed Stefan's along with Damon. Elena met Damon first but was compelled to forget. Stefan saves Elena & later finds out she wasn't Katherine. He was drawn to her 'because she wasn't a vampire.' When he found out Katherine's true self, she had to compell him to not be afraid. Damon was never compelled & loved her unconditionly. Katherine claimed to love both brother's but Stefan is the one she wanted & only used Damon. But we soon realize that she ONLY loved herself! Stefan made Damon turn because he didn't want to be alone but he never learned how to control the blood lust. Instead it controled him. Damon was angry with Stefan not just because he made him turn but because Katherine turned Stefan. Damon's anger consumed him but he never stopped looking for a way to rescue Katherine while Stefan moved on trying to live a 'normal human' life as possible, but he's a vampire! Elena's parents died & a few months later she meets Stefan. She falls in love with him & Stefan was in love with 'human' Elena. But I never believed that they would end up together. I liked Stefan but I saw a real connection with Damon early on. It felt right to me because I could see what was happening just below the surface. But Stefan & Damon through Elena came to realize how much 'they needed each other.' It's absolutely beautiful to watch these two brother's come full circle. Stefan told Caroline that he realized he needed his brother more than he needed Elena. The debate will always be who was best or which brother should have Elena chosen. But I saw two lost brother's finding their way back to each other. It's absolutely beautiful. Whomever Elena chose would have been the right choice. But, I myself (from episode one)felt her true love would be Damon. Because the real love story was always about the two brother's.
Me too but the thought of having to sit through 2 seasons of Stelena makes me hesitate, don't get me wrong I do like Stefan and loved Stelena at first but once I saw Delena together I fell in love with their story and them
that's for real ....... and yes its still around just truly hard to find because everyone is so jaded. .... I have had love like that and because his family could not see it I no longer have it and the its so true love like that can take you to place your soul will never have with anyone else
I love ❤❤ how when they met the first time he didn’t need time like stefan to figure out she’s not katherine or anything like her and he truly wants her to get everything she wants out of life and it turns out that he is the one to give her exactly that he accepted her 💯 never tried to change her not even when she became a vamp or human he just wanted her to be happy and she saw he’s flaws and accepted them as well and still fell in love with him more than once at her own pace she even said she can’t stop loving him they broke that ( doppelgängers always end up together) elena & damon are real not just because the universe demands it ❤ also when she talks about damon to matt she tells him that damon just snuck up on her and she can’t shake him off and matt tells her ( i don’t think you can’t ever shake them off once they get under your skin ) even caroline mentioned it to elena and she says that she always finds her way back to him to damon and he was the one that made her be okay with being a vamp forever because she knew that he would always be with her and in their rain kiss she asked him ( promise me this is forever) and that she can have eternal love with him also before she gets damon’s and her memories compelled she says that she will forever have a whole in her chest where he’s supposed to be and can’t think of continuing being a vamp without him without her soulmate 😢😢❤️🩹
Every time I walk away from him I turn around and he's there and Everytime he walks away from me he turns around I'm right there. But what's left to do but be there for each other, right?? Especially when you know that no matter what or how the bond tends to get bent but it's the 2 of you that keeps you together from falling and teaching each other to be like the song says I'll make you UNBREAKABLE ❤️❤️
U know if u think about it. Damon erases there first meeting together on purpose. Cause he didnt want her to see the bad sides of him and what he was. But, Stefan HAD to meet her, only cause she looks like Katherine. Which what drew Damon to her also, but he knew from them just talking, that Elena is not Katherine. Stefan brought Elena in to his world and thats when her life got worse, with all the vampire dramas, dopplerganger, being crucified. Stefan let her die twice! He should have waited to let her go when Klaus came for her. And then instead of just unbuckeling her in the truck, he lets her drown. She expected him to come back for her right away. Yes, she did tell him to save Matt. But he could of atleast released her from being stuck in the seat belt first.
Actually Stefan loses that hope too. Its not until Elena and Damon are finally together, that he started to see it. They brought it out in each other, what one lacked in, the other had and helped each other grow.
ikr, my favorite Delena scenes from season 1 and 2 were 1x19, 2x22, 2x08, 2x21, and all the other scenes that Damon and Elena first hugged, him joking around with her, and basically all their moments together. I got so happy in 1x22 when I thought him and Elena had their first kiss, but it just had to be Katherine. Tbh, I'm kinda glad it was Katherine bc i didn't them to automatically be together, but instead for their relationship to slowly develop ❤️ I've shipped Delena since I first saw Damon and Elena bc i knew she wouldn't stay with Stefan for the whole show.
This is AMAZING! Gosh I miss the old seasons I feel like the new ones are worse in my opinion. The writers are ruining their relationship, gosh I'm scared they won't be endgame because all of this Bamon stuff. I honestly don't see the appeal to Bamon, like they don't have a history like Delena! Forever my OTP
Now that I've I seen the whole show I really get it why Elena really does love Damon and why she chose him over Stefan it's because he is everything Stefan isn't and is never going to be they might drive each other crazy sometimes but that's is why I love them 😍 because they are more alike each other than they realising

Thank you for posting these:) I think I've only watched like 4 or 5 episodes of this show, but have watched quite a few of these vid video posts & watching some of them have me thinkin' of watching each of the episodes in the entire series!
