No matter what Dame says, everybody isn't a BOSS. Everyone isn't cut out to be a boss. To be a boss it takes discipline, commitment and being miserable while chasing your dreams and goals. The best times of my life was when I was miserable achieving my goals, I know that sounds crazy and doesn't make sense. Here's an example, you have something you're working on, you want to make sure it's done right, so you work and work and keep working on it, all while others are traveling, having fun, watching sports, going to concerts, out on dates etc. I even remember turning down dates with women that I really wanted to get with, but their timing was off and I had to put my work in, so it didn't happen. I cried in weird places like in the shower, every time I cried I felt stronger. I had no social life, ZERO! I was committed to make my company grow. I didn't know how I would pay certain bills at times, so you have to learn to juggle things around, you can't shop, you wear the same clothes, you work until you get funky, it starts at 5, 6 in the morning, it can end at 10pm , 11pm, or 3 in morning, time flies when you're working on your goals. You eat the same food you prepared because you can't afford the best restaurants. Sometimes I had my last nights dinner for breakfast, things get crazy and you have to improvise every step of the way. Then one day it will all come together, then you will get offers that you can turn down, you can decide who you will work with, you will see checks that will pay you for a whole year in one check. Then you will see all the people that laughed at you in the same place they were in when you were struggling. Bosses don't quit, they go the extra mile, they make sure shyt gets done, and have no problem cutting off people who aren't pulling their weight. So are you really BOSS material? just because you can see doesn't mean you have vision.
This man speaks my mind. It's hard to be understood when you think like that in this world. People are so easy to be led, bought and sold. I love listening to Dame, let's me know I'm not crazy.
I see why the Roc was killing the game. Dame mindset for success is above and beyond from how ppl in the industry today. However, it's like the streets, cut out the middle man and become the plug yourself.
"I would love to learn from someone who could be my boss. I would love to learn from somebody who is worthy enough to tell me what to do" That just made me say WOW out loud!
1997 is a year I”ll never forget! He (Dame Dash) took the world by storm with a gangsta ass business move with Reasonable Doubt! That business plan I”ll never! Master P Business Plan was similar Too! Big Ups To Coach Dame!
A locked in, confident in themself, business mind is what dame is explaining. If your not part of the struggle, you wont understand. If you have gone through the struggle of independent business and you are savvy, you get it. Its worth doing.. for life lessons.
I’m a Scorpio. Telling people the same thing over and over especially after you said it nicely the first 15 times then they say “it’s your tone”.... Getting away from them is key. Thanks Uncle Dame.
Damian Dash is speaking some powerful knowledge here business powerful wisdom nuggets of wisdom and only those that have the ability to seek higher on a much higher level at that and the courage to seek and reaching the higher level can actually comprehend and actually began to reach in the areas as going to make them a profound leader in business person thank you Mr. Damian Dash for your prophetic word
I enjoy Damon Dash business acumen... I really don’t want to take a LOAN... I say, “GOD, help me figure this out!!!” Thank you for sharing this post! 💯❤️💯 May everyone Be Great!! -kindly 🌷
The more I hear Dame speak, the more I like him & wish he had a school of entrepreneurship so that I could send my children. They have vision but there is no overstanding of the business world. I know why certain people don't like him & that make me like & respect his hustle even more... An educated black businessman is a deadly force 💯💯💯💯
It's called a library and your kids won't take to business if it's not their thing u can't force someone to do something they don't have a passion for ..
wayofthegun Sometimes it's better to stay silent & be perceived as a fool, than to open your mouth/start typing & remove all doubt... Now read carefully because clearly your comprehension level may be off, & that's okay too. A library does not have a curriculum on starting your very own business. This is why some successful (and not so successful) people have workshops, seminars, or classes/courses to teach those of us that are not that experienced in said field. The library has books yes, but it can't groom a person to be their own boss. That takes a human element... and someone else already suggested that. Unless you know my babies, you can't assume their skillset, talent, drive and/or determination; you're just pissin' against the wind. But I got the needed info, thanks so much 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
He's an advance thinker. We are to get on that frequency as well.. there is a lot to do be and have! Let's mature and get it poppin Community! Hey Dame! *NewFace Magazine LV!
I love Dame, but in Harlem or in D.C. L.A. or wherever on the street level, most ballers weren't buying their work., it was being fronted to them.thats the same as a bank fronting you money. Amallernlevel dudes bought and flipped but most ballers get hit off heavy in consignment.
It is the stupidest thing to ever put up your own money in a business venture. The money is not insured and if the venture fails your will loose everything.
#SLUATE #2DOPE #GODISAMAZING keep up the gd wrk bro @DameDash #HARLEM #LEGENDARYSHIT ...wish I could sit & chop it up, I would like some info on an idea...
In any message you take what is good for you and throw out the rest. I am sure someone can find some valid point that resonates with them the message. Even if it was not the intended message given.
Love the video.......I think I'm the best of the best of a music producer...But this music game want this mumble rap.My whole idea is to change the music game from within....Damon Dash keep on preaching your idea to the youth. Make them UNDERSTAND !!!!!
tracey lee I agree. I believe that we should take what we can use from his experience, the rest we can leave @ the door. Although, I think we can learn a lot from Dame!!
Dame is a true boss and he gave a lot of people a shot when nobody else would. I really took my hat off to Dame when he put that Rocafella chain around ODBs neck he gave that man a shot when nobody else would
Very interesting individual Dame is,& I stress the word "Individual". He's NEVER gonna be the type of person that you'll always agree with. Heck...may even be at odds with him more than 50% of the time. What can't be denied is that he provokes THOUGHT!!! That's a very unique quality that not everyone possesses.
I'm Always thinking 35 years ahead of time so I don't expect anyone to understand what the hell I'm talking about. *They not Smarter than me. Smh. Smh. I can't just let somebody else whose not Smarter than me tell me what to do..
