This is the D24el. el stands for electric. Means the boiler is heated electricaly. The knob is a voltage regulator which i retrofitted. Standard is only on or off. :-)
@@lordofbasement Awsome! I will deffinitly add that idea! I hawe plans to modify one of my D12 in a similar way! (if the D12 does not hawe enough power, perhaps one of my old Märklin machines will do, if i make an adapter for the tread...) (i concidering using a manometer fitting with an integrated safety valve so i can still choose to use the whistle in the other end of the boiler) Since i allredy hawe a brooken D10 i once bought for spareparts, i now plan to repair and re use the aggregat for a similar build as this (the remains of the boiler will of course also be carefuly saved and re used as a watertank was my plan). I also found a scrap piece of 32 mm copperpipe on my workdesk i think would be great for building a similar huffpot, lots of awsome ideas here, a massive thank You for making and sharing those videos!! I am so in love with the fat that my old childhood dreams finaly came tru and even better then in my wildest dreams as a little child! How i wished one of those model stemaplnts, but my parents could not afford to buy expensive gifts to all my siblings at same time he had to pay the loans for the farm, but ny some years ago i finaly found an original machine on a local auction of the same model! ha ha!
@@lordofbasementja da gibt es echt schöne. Ich baue mir glaube ich auch einen! Wo müsste ich den Tank dann anschließen? Da wo das Kondenswasser in die rote Wasserschale läuft ?
@@niklaskudde1895 Ja genau dort. Und bei deinem Tank dann irgendwo in höherer Position wieder rein. Der Dampf kondensiert dann zu Wasser, welches dann im Tank bleibt.
