The reason I instantly loved Dan's channel was because of how sarcastic he was because I could relate to that so much.

this video is so cringe because literally all the tweets were just jokes from my followers which they didn't understand **facepalm** but we did talk about nicer internet and cyberbullying at the end which is a good thing so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯?

One thing that confuses me about the Phandom is that while almost everybody seems to agree that Phil needs to be shielded from anything slightly negative, at the same time people assume that "Dan can handle it". Am I the only one?

Phil looked so sad and uncomfortable reading those but they weren't even about him. They were about dan. You could see how bad he felt and he is such a good person. Take him sharing two of his awards with dan. He is the sweetest thing ever oml.

This is my opinion but I feel the reason that people treat Phil a this precious little angel while assuming that Dan can handle the hate is because puts out a more sarcastic, confident vibe than Phil although it hasn't always been that way, and it also has to do with the fact that in the Phandom sexualizes Dan while acting like Phil is 3. Something that really bothers me is that alot of their fans have are mean to Dan as a joke, I've seen it all over twitter, they tweet really mean things about him and agree with hate but when someone says something remotely mean about Phil they jump on the defensive.

I think the phandom is more protective of Phil bc he's constantly left out of things/ has like half the number of subscribers than Dan/ always has people saying that he's ugly or boring in comparison to Dan. So I sort of get it. But we should protect them equally while also keeping in mind that they are 24/28 years old and know by now how to handle random hate on the Internet.

I don't think it's "precious" or "cute" that everyone in the comments is trying to point out how it's awful to send mean tweets to Phil but it's okay to send them to Dan because he seem to laugh them off and don't take them too seriously. Hate is hate. And I LOVE the message of this video, well done guys!

So the BBC printed off a tweet saying "Dan is so hot he gives me sunstroke" and gave it specifically to Phil to read to him! They ship it soo much! It's adorable. And when Phil realised what was going on he was too shy and made Dan read it himself asdfghjkl so cute. :)

So I want to say a few things (I got some of them clearer from reading other comments). A) I'm in love with this whole anti-bullying campaign Dan is organising. And I mean truly into it. I can't say I've ever gotten a hateful comment before, but I've grown tired of watching amazing people who I'm a fan of being hated on with poor excuses. There's NO REASON TO BE RUDE!!! It's ABSOLUTELY fine if you don't like someone's kind of work or an specific video, but you can either keep the opinion to yourselve or just comment something like "Hey, I didn't like the video/I don't like your channel, but I can see you make a lot of people happy. Keep making this stuff!". It's not hard to be nice to people. And remember, EVERYONE eventually gets to the hateful part of their comments, so don't go thinking "I'm just gonna say this really hurtful thing cause I'm sure they won't read it". Trust me. They do. So go #NicerInternet !! Since the radio takeover happened, I've red TONS of messages and posts full of love. KEEP GOING!! B) I'M SO NOT SAYING THAT IT'S OK TO ONLY ACKNOWLEDGE DAN'S TWEETS AND NOT PHIL'S, but I PERSONALLY feel like Dan has a different way of facing it. If he (Phil) has never talked clearly about any of his hate tweets (because even though we all see him as a ball of nice stuff, I'm sure he gets them), it may be because he doesn't feel confortable with it and THAT'S ALSO FINE!! C) I admire that (and that's what I personally think about it. it's just a feeling I get) they have this be-proud-of-each-other thing. When this whole takeover stuff came out, Phil was "Dan is hosting it" "Dan did it" and it was so nice to just watch. And everytime there is something 'off' with Phil's side of the phandom or along those lines, Dan will be one of the first ones to deffend him. I think that's just awesome and I wish everyone in this world got a friendship as strong as theirs. So yes, I deeply admire them both for all they've achieved so far and I'm proud to say I'll be here till the end :) Ps. We can all admit that Dan is the leader od the Phil defence club. But Phil was bullied a while back, so this may be why Dan's pretty protective, so don't hate on Phil for it. And now I see comments hating on Phil. This is the fucking Phandom. There's way more Dan supporters here, like, shouldn't we go together? My point is, this is the Phandom. I'm surprised at how many of you have started to hate on Phil. We can't take favourites. Choosing Dan or Phil should be harder than choosing out of your children. Not Dan in a split second just because Dan has more personality and can 'deal with the haters'. So can Phil, people just don't understand that from his sweet personality so therefore tend to stick up for him a little more. (even though they are almost the same.) And that isn't Phil's fault. But don't you DARE call Phil a 'precious Phil' or 'Little baby' It's like you want more haters on our Phil? Is that really what you want? The phandom is on both sides, forever loving both dear Dan and Phil.

I am so glad that Dan didn't respond in a negative way or cursed back to the people, he just laughed and explained his side or went the funny route and thanked them. It's a nice way to treat internet negativity, and if that doesn't work then just do as they said after and block the person. This video was fun AND educational!

The thought of Dan reading hate comments concerns me more than Phil reading hate comments to be honest. At first glance Dan looks like the cool sarcastic guy who can't give two shits, but in his videos you can see how he actually cares about things and has insecurities too and can really take harsh criticism to heart. I don't want Phil to be subjected to such negativity, but when it comes to it I think he'd be more confident and generally handle it better than Dan.

I feel like Phil gets more hate than Dan because he's "not hot enough" or "Dan is hotter" blablabla Guys, we are sensitive to Phil not because he's "innocent" (for God's sake he read the skin fic), it's because we feel that he gets much more hate and he is more fragile. Well, in our case Phandom members. It's much easier to say that instead of the Dan and Phil fandom, right?) believe in you guys, and we put our faith in you guys. Remember that the side with valid reason wins, in simple english it means that the Phandom members would do anything to reply to the trolls in the best way they can. We will try not to offend anyone and not be mean. Just remember the positive side wins, and try not to let the hate bother you guys. I know it's hard, and it's easier said than done. But believe me that 100% of people on the Internet had either been a victim of hate, or saw someone as a victim of hate. Just try to help that person and defeat the hates. I hope that there would be less hate on the Internet in the future than now, and I'm pretty sure I would get hate under this comment (I hope as minimum as possible) Haters slash trolls, I do hope you can reconsider what you typed on the Internet before you sent it. Because it would be there forever. Mindful of your language and your "use of terms". When you type, please remember that there would be more than one person you're affecting on the other side of the computer or phone or i pad whatever gadget and they have emotions and feeling too. So please, have a heart and be considerate. There is a limitation to free of speech, and it's a gift given by the government. This video made me feel really bad because Dan and Phil Both have bags under their eyes, and not like normal bags that most humans have, but like massive bags. Which I don't know if they were there because of lack of sleep or stress but it just made me feel very bad to see them in such a state. I love that they tend to not care much about hate but just the fact that they have to distance themselves from what people say is just sad because I want them to find joy in what they do and not have to distance themselves in such a way that they don't actively experience all aspects of what they do. I don't know it just seems like it takes away from the experience, having to distance from fans. Then the fact that Dan kept laughing and from what I've heard he does that sometimes because he's awkward and I don't know if was actually feeling sad or not, or just didn't know how to handle it. I don't know if he was just feigning being used to it or if he actually doesn't care much. So it just made me feel really bad.

Okay in all honesty-- both Dan AND Phil should be shielded from the hate. Seriously some think that Dan can take all the hate seeing as he has had low self esteem issues in the past and maybe even now being that thick blanket of sarcasm and smiles. Phil on the other hand is 28 (Turning 29 soon if I remember correctly..) who has a pretty high self esteem and loves himself yet gets hate about how ugly he is and to go kill himself. In any possible occasion there are really mean RU-vid comments, tweets, Facebook posts/pages, and horrid Instagram about THE BOTH OF THEM. Phil isn't a little child (I hate to break it to you!) anymore. He's grown and flown away and kept his head held high while Dan even though it might seem that he is the same is all just a illusion. Sure Phil is childish and cute and sure Dan seems sarcastic but maybe that's just not the case. What I'm boiling down to is that both of these men that are precious to their families, friends, and phandom.
