"so perry the platypus you may be wondering why youre a stuck in a classic robber money bag WELL BEHOLD MY TAKE-20c-OFF-EVERY-DOLLAR-INATOR" *platypus noises* "whaaat! its 20% off if that was a sale you'd by it"
Sometimes I don't understood,Why does a lot people make crepypasta from the different shows of movies? This is just a tv.show The person who wrote that,it has sick brain in his brain. He doesn't know that is just a tv.show. Why does he needs to wrote a crepypasta story? That wouldn't get to getting any sense. It doesn't make sense. Just why?
@@jesusgutierrez3841 it's quite simple actually, entertainment. The people who creates creepypasta from tv series are either fans who like horror stories or movies or an author of a horror movie
Dan just randomly bringing out his Dr Doofenshmirtz voice is the best thing ever, I don't know how he resists the urge to talk in that voice all the time
@@sonicfan3230 now I can only imagine this man on april fools just slowly driving everyone mad with his doofenshmirtz voice over the course of the entire day
No joke, in my college psych class the professor didn't know what an aglet was and was trying to talk about them and the entire class simultaneously corrected her. You have succeeded in teaching an entire generation!
Lol, that teacher got OWNED! What happened after? Like, did the teacher leave the classroom? Did they laugh? Get super mad? Did the class show them Phineas and Ferb?
But it’s a super intriguing way to think about things. Candace having schizophrenia due to some unseen past childhood trauma, none of the boys’ inventions getting busted…
@@50Steaks68It has so many holes that it falls apart if you think about it for more than just the base premise. The parents would have to be part of the hallucinations since they interact with the children that Phineas and Ferb interact with. So no, not very intriguing.
I enjoy many fan theories though I don’t take them too seriously. However I thought all those “it’s all in one characters head” theories were pretty dumb.
I know it because of this show, and a quote from a different show that’s “the plastic bits on the end of show laces are called aglets, their true purpose is sinister”
Dan accidentally solving all of the Star Wars' Special's problems while pitching the story without realizing it is one of the best stories I have ever heard.
And it's even more impressive considering how much that special F*CKING SLAPS. It's so good, like everything about it just works and is fun, and him sorting it out on the spot is absolutely incredible.
Ive definitely done something like this, just not on the same scale of course. Its weird how your brain sometimes works better if you dont use it too hard. Its like conciousness gets in the way or something.
Yah, I never understood edgy fan theorise. The show is for elementery/middle schoolers, why would it be about a mentally ill teenagers schizophrenic delusions?
@@lazykyuubi4300 True. I'd be lying if I said that I don't enjoy a few deep dives into a kids cartoon, but sometines I'm like. "Bud, you're really stretching it."
It really is one of the cleverest disney crossovers in a long history of _terrible_ disney crossovers. Love for the franchise was oozing out of every second, and it tied in with PnF instead of just being slapped on. Darthenshmirtz being responsible for the Death Star's crippling weak spot is something so _especially_ genius that it just feels like a big juicy bite of pizza.
“Well your are in luck ma’am because all of our living non-schizophrenic writers are completely out of ideas” -Walt Disney 2021 Lol, this quote gets me every time.
I mean Anonuma and the Zelda team tried to imply that Termina wasn’t actually real (despite in-game evidence to the contrary) and everyone I’ve seen talking about it has rejected that detail outright
The last question brings up the idea that Phineas and Ferb essentially have stockpiled millions of dollars and haven't even shared a portion with their family in case of financial need
That question stumped me too because where did they get the money to build the roller-coaster? Those things are not cheep. Also how did they get the rights to build it all over the city? And what about the all the damage payouts they would have to do for all of the more distuctive endings to their creations? I do seem to recall multiple homes and businesses being destroyed.
@@kf9928 but when did they get them? There is no evidence that I can find that says they had any money making method beforehand. That, the prior money making method, is what I wonder. The only thing that would be an acceptable answer is if one of the show runners explicitly said how they made the money to make that roller-coaster, or that they took out a loan and the specific reason the bank gave out a loan to two young boys for that crazy coaster idea.
Actually to the last question. I always made up in my head that Phineas was doing lot of financial and business decisions for the team to enable Ferbs full potential as an engineer. That was also the only reason for me why he talks more than Ferb. xD
Can you imagine being in the writers room when Dan just happens to randomly know what the tip of a shoe-lace is called? I would have fallen out of my chair laughing.
I first saw Phineas and Ferb in my 20s, in a woman's abuse shelter with my then 1 and 3 year old. Phineas and Ferb will forever have a special place in my heart because it made me laugh during a very dark place in my life. 9 years and 1 more kid later I left that marriage and am living much happier by myself with my kids. But thank you for the laughter when all I wanted to do was cry.
I'm glad that it has changed for better in your life. God bless you and I wish you all the best. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." - John 3:16
I'm so happy for you! I know what you mean, to a much lesser extent, about this show. It brought me such joy during a period when all I wanted to do was cry. But I couldn't even do that because my babies needed to know that everything was going to be okay. High five!! 🙏 (I recently found out this emoji is a high five not praying hands)
The funniest part was people argueing with Dan, like uhh do you not realize this is the other creator of the show, therefore he knows what he’s talking about.
I think theres a whole philosophy behind that, like some people argue that a work of art exists outside of its creator. In a similar way to the fact that just because your parents made you doesn't mean they know you the best or own you. Also when a creator ret-cons something **cough** George Lucas **cough** they dont automatically get the final say in reality. In my opinion, head-canon is the only truth that matters. I rarely look up what a song or movie means because my enjoyment comes from my interpretation.
@@skeetsmcgrew3282 I think there is truth to that, and you can interpret a work of art any way you want. But if the argument is wether a theory is cannon it's hard to argue with the author. In this case I think it's even more clear as it's pretty obvious that wasn't the creators' intent and is contradicted in the show itself
“if we do it right, they’ll be a whole generation that knows what the aglet is” congrats! you did it right, and it’s the only reason i know what it is and can never forget what it is lmao
I can confirm. There was a Dr. Doof at an Anime Convention I worked at this past summer. Dude had more Moms stopping him for pictures then anyone else. It was the funniest thing I have ever seen!
Get yourself a girl who watches cartoons! She will be the Mom who laughs from the other room as she is listening in on the cartoon her kids are watching. That is the mom I want for my kids!
Maybe I can pull that off, one day I kind of just tried the doofenshmirtz's voice and it worked. It probably has at least some influence from me being articulate enough to do elmo, goofy, pretty sure Donald Ducks withered with age, mid Kermit, oh gee Rick, and sound like a tortured soul of a demon that did something to get on Lucifer's bad side or something - I'm not sure how to quantify that voice. Maybe qualified as The Souls of the Damned trying to form words, I can also do Kurama and more who happens to sound like the big bad from Inspector Gadget. Remind me to become Doofenshmirtz for a convention. And yes I can do the Grinch smile, the live action Gym Cary Grinch Smile - which can also be easily tweaked into a Momo smile.
I love that when he uses clips from the show, he never uses HD clips from Disney+ or something, but 2008/9 TV recordings that have been circulating on RU-vid for years
In a semi-related story to Perry being green. When I was 16 one of my first part time jobs was to tutor a girl in grade/primary school on her homework. We were going through a test she had just taken on biology and one of the questions was to identify the animal in the picture that was provided. The animal in the image was a platypus and she had gotten the answer wrong. When I told her the correct answer, she was visibly confused and asked "No this isn't a Platypus! Why isn't it green like Perry the Platypus?' This was around 11 years ago but I still remember smiling really hard and explaining it to her. Guess she was right after all!
I used to love the “Doof is Phineas’ dad” theory, just cause of the sheer irony of the idea. But thinking about it now, it’s probably for the best that it’s not true. If it was, that would make Ferb and Vanessa, like…step-half-siblings or something. And y’all can probably see why that would be a problem lol.
it is still an irony bout how linda and doof broke but their children are getting together lol mightve been a very akward reuninion, "hey doof, do you remember how you shove me in the trunk so that you can pay for 1 ticket on our first blind date?"
@@abhiprakash74999 the creator of the story literally said it isn’t true in the video you just watched…. He decides what is true in this fictional world as he is the creator…. ?..
So essentially platypuses are strange duck-ish beavers that can glow in the dark. Oh boy, now that's a sight to see. I'll just put it here, God bless you and I wish you all the best c: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." - John 3:16
Phineas and Ferb is the greatest animated series ever made. It was at its height when my kids were young, and I enjoyed it as much as they did if not more. I still watch episodes now and then.
OMG! Phineas and Ferb is like, my new OBSESSION! I just started watching it during summer vacation, literally today I completed It, June 19th, 2024, and I can't believe how much I've already binged! Phineas and Ferb are like, genius inventors, and Perry the Platypus? Total. Secret. Agent. Rock. Star. (Seriously, where can I get him a tiny fedora?) Even you, Doofenshmirtz, with your totally out-there inventions (gotta admit, I love the names!), crack me up every single time. But here's the thing, guys: Season 5 NEEDS to happen, ASAP! The cliffhanger with Doof joining OWCA is, like, killing me! Doof, any insider info you can share with a fellow fan? Pleeeease? Seriously though, Dan, thank you SO much for creating this amazing show. You guys are the absolute BEST!
I love Dan. He made one of the most beloved TV show's ever and probably has enough money to retire and instead stays active with his community after all these years. It's a shame there's not many writers like Dan anymore
@@scylla1772 Well we know most of Doof's money comes from Alimony, which given he lives in a building with his name plastered on the sign and is constantly buying parts for new inventions and fixing damage done by Perry to the building, suggests that Doof's Ex Wife is LOADED
I like when a creator of such a huge show is still in touch with the fans helping them explain theories and different questions they have about the show.
The eleven year old inside of me is having a sense of catharsis seeing these disturbing theories brushed off. Some latent part of my soul that saw them on Google Images breathed a sigh of relief.
Dan was ahead of the scientific community, if that's not proof he's a god I don't know what is and no wonder the Campfire Song Song is a masterpiece, you wrote it! But yes, it would've been funnier if it was "Letters, letters, letters, letters, letters, letters, letters"
I knew what an aglet was before the Phineas and Ferb episode because of that one episode of The Suite Life where London gives Maddie her credit cards to stop herself from shopping so much but then she goes into withdrawal. L: "Can I just buy one pair of shoes?" M: "No!" L: "How about one shoe?" M: "No!" L: "A shoelace?" M: "No!" L: "That little thingy at the end of the shoelace that nobody knows what it's called?" M: "You mean the aglet?" L: "Yeah that!" M: "NO!"
Ok the fact candace and maddie is played by ashley tisdale, but candace didnt care about it at the end, and in here maddie is the one that knows about it sends me
Finding out that you wrote "The Campfire Song Song" just made my day. I love to sing that song, and watch Sponegebob, and Phineas and Ferb is one of my favorite shows! Two great things coming together!
In my last job, I always seemed to know random facts. A teenaged waitress said, "Yeah?? Well, I bet you don't know what the plastic bit on the end of a lace is called!" "What, the aglett?" She looked totally defeated, until I said "I watch Phineas and Fern too, you know." She brightened up massively and we had both made a new friend.
This guy has a dream job. He gets to use all his talents to make one of the biggest shows ever. They can do pretty much anything and for a reason, just say 'It's Phineas and Ferb. Why not?'
10:07 I’m not sure how much of a “lesser-known” fact this is, but Dan also used to work on Family Guy. He even directed the first “Road To” episode and possibly more (I forget but I know he left at the end of season 5 to work on P&F) What a portfolio dude!
It's awesome and very telling how a LOT of the episodes that Dan Povenmire was a writer on in early SpongeBob and Family Guy are some of my favorites of that era. Everything coming full circle when I stumbled upon Phineas and Ferb. Of course I'd like that show too :)
