I dont disagree with the 2 point conversion but i dont agree with going for it on 4th down in the second quarter when the score was 6-7 and our defense was playing great football. In those close games in HOSTILE environments I would prefer if he took the points early. He went for a fake punt on that same drive which is great but it literally was all for nothing because hes too stubborn to take the points that are given. It was a chip shot field goal. Take the points and move on. We wouldve went into half time with the lead 9-7. Instead we into half time trailing 6-7 and ultimately those 3 points were needed like i thought they would be. Hard for me to blame everything on the refs at the end when this team had multiple opportunities to win. Some of it is on the players(Derrick Barnes in particular) and some of it is on Dan. The Dolphins literally beat the Cowboys a week prior with 5 FIELD GOALS. Field goals can actually win you games believe it or not and i hope for the teams sake and for his sake(because i actually like him as our HC) that Dan learns that. If our defense is struggling and letting up tons of points then go for it but thats not how that game was trending. I myself realized that from my couch after the first quarter. He needs to understand to call the game based on how its flowing. You cant score a touchdown on every drive in this league against really good teams. Its literally impossible. Save the aggressiveness for when you actually need it.

To be fair the plays were their to be made. Especially on the third attempt goff just missed the throw. My only issue is the phsychological part of it. Do you really believe the players were ready for the second and third 2 point try? Because i dont. Dan Skipper lost his mind, Goff was noticeably upset, and im sure everyone else on the offense was as well. For that reason i wouldnt have went for it again becauase i dont think their heads were in it at the point. Take the extra point, let the guys regroup and channel that energy, frustration, and anger into OT and get the win. I believe all the momentum was on the Lions side at that point. If the Lions win the toss then Dallas has to throw their defense back out there who was already noticeably tired after that final drive in the fourth quarter. I think the Lions wouldve won i really do. I believe the defense wouldve came out with more energy as well and made a stop even if Dallas won the coin toss.
