So I came across this video a few months ago and thought it was cool. Then i'm in Polebridge, MT, walking by podunk saloon 50 miles from civilization, and I hear someone jamming out something that sounds like Tool on a slide guitar. I look, and i'm like "that is, in fact, someone rocking out to Tool on a slide guitar, and I think its the guy I saw in the RATM video from a few months ago. Confirmed. Its a crazy small world. Keep on rocking man.
@@dancalvano8702 lol somebody is Salty. Also, pretty sure Tom identifies as a non-sectarian socialist. Which is waaaay different from being actually communist. As someone who is socialist-leaning with a just a couple communist friends, trust me they are not at all the same despite being on the "same side" of politics.
More like... Look if a human can make those noises... imagine what kind of claws and teeth it has... just give it a wide berth and try not to make any noise if you start to hear any of those sounds.
My mom and I have had the privilege of playing live with Dan, he’s one of the absolute nicest and most genuine people we’ve ever met. So proud he’s going big now! Finally! 🥳❤️
@@dandubuque5792 Are u Canadian? Where is the location this was recorded at? Great cover! Man, u are talented. I always love hearing well known songs played on different instruments to the original. Well done. 👍
@@Spondre So Canadian then! Some great musicians/bands hve come out of Canada. Neil Young, Rush, Devin Townsend & Cryptopsy to name a few. Then some not so great as you mentioned . . .
Holy shit. I'm headbanging to a video of the middle of nowhere. This is awesome. What an amazing cover. You've given it grit, more feeling and depth than the original which was great as it was. This is the first video I've seen of yours, instant subscriber.
Love how when the song starts, its overcast, then as it progresses and nears the end, the clouds part and the sun shines down - as in 'I approve'! Rock on!
Dude, THAT SHREDS!!! As mind-blowing as the playing is, the virtual background steals the show!!! You were upstaged by nature, I love it. 🤪🤪😎 Perfect video. --- love that scenery so much! *No, I’m being a Smart-Alec,* I forgot to acknowledge the creativity in that fully discordant seeming Buzzsaw. That rendition put so much life into an already SMOKIN’ tune... You totally captured the chaos that’s right under the surface, in Rage’s music --- and when Zack goes OFF... 🚀🚀☮︎
I saw this talented musician playing on the streets of Missoula Montana, heard him be interviewed by KBGA college radio and then he launched into discovery. It is lovely to see that over a million people have watched this video. He is a delight to see in person. What a talent. I hope Life is good for you Dan.
Ah, just put a girder at the side of the river and the fish will come and press theirselfs to the girder, while there'll be a large pit behind them where you can occassionally pull one out.
Agree with the first part, but as an animal rights activist, I say stop dragging fish to an environment they can't breath in by a hook in their mouth. Now THAT'S disturbing the trout.
This is such an awesome reimagining of this song! I wish I could get an album of this! Gotta see this in concert someday, preferably in a mountain setting like this! Love it!
I'm such a slacker, I didn't realize Excaliber was missing from the stone and this guy put strings on it and wields it on the next level. This is what I come to RU-vid looking for.
Awestruck! The places your playing in are amazing to look at. Jealous as its landscape i dream of living in. Then the music that flows.... It's one thing to do a cover of a song. Another to do it justice and make it your own. We need more to add to the playlists!
@@Meuracas You know I once sold my vinyl copy of "A Momentary Lapse of Reason" to a discount half-priced bookstore only to learn it's true value after they placed it in a locked display case for an exorbitant price. The look on my face was priceless. Not necessarily related to my shitting problem however I do enjoy listening to long albums.
I love how you’re really getting into it and not merely focusing on hitting note for note and the improvisation is AWESOME! You should do Sepultura’s Refuse/Resist, I can really hear some Brazilian drum rhythms in your playing. Great work!
While it would be more productive than arguing politics with a real human, you would still lose the argument. Moose would go get Squirrel, and then your argument would be invalid.
I also heard "Bombtrack", "People of the Sun", "Bullet In the Head", "In Bloom" by Nirvana, and I think some RHCP? What other hidden gems were thrown in there?
