I went to high school with Dan . He was an artist in all senses of the word. He could act, draw and obviously play music but best of all he was just a good person. He is greatly missed.

I believe Dan's incredible music is only just being born to many ,many new fans . The man is the single most underrated and overlooked artist in the history of popular music ,but thanks to the internet ,that disgraceful situation is now slowly being rectified . It's also up to us fans to spread the word as often as possible ,too ! How can something so superb be unknown to so many ? Best wishes from Scotland .

Dan Fogelberg gave us an example of tamed masculinity where you can be a full man and fully sensitive. To write such songs and to interpret them so well is an anchor of many virtues, including, the virtue on how to be full blown man!! Leader of the band is another expression of having been a true gentleman! Thank God for giving us artists like Dan Fogelberg. RIP.

Mad respect and love for Dan Fogelberg. Master Class lyricist, recording artist who I have long regarded. He could paint a picture in a 4 minute window that anyone could see what was spilling out of his soul and into his music and lyrics. His musicianship and that of the backing musicians seen here is a producers dream line up. RIP Mike Botts on drums. One of thee most tasteful drummers that ever graced the planet. Love his rimshot then snare on the ballads he plays on. Trademark of his I suspect. Jim Photoglo on bass with the high harmony....delicious. Massive thanks and loves blessings all the way down here in New Zealand. RIP Dan Fogelberg. One day when we meet in another dimension, I will get to thank you personally for inspiring and teaching me music of the purest form. When your music reached our shores, we were blessed. At 2 :58 , Dan closes his eyes and smiles after the sax solo. At that moment , he knows he chose the right profession. He was such a great performer. I saw him live at the "Front Row" in Mayfield, a suburb of Cleveland .It held 3,000 people and had a rotating stage. It moved so slow you couldn't notice. 45 seconds later , you're looking at the back of the band, It was quite the venue for a show. Very unique setting. A Comedian opened for Fogelberg. Everyone was laughing, saying where did guy come from? He was unkown at the time. His name was Chris Rock! This was around 1986-87.Saw Dan many times but he's best in an intimate setting like this one. Such a huge loss at an early age. When you hear ,he and JD Souther hung out together with Henley and Frey, you can see the influences in all of their music. He is sadly missed. Peace to you Dan....

Dan wrote the lyrics that we all have felt at times and this makes his music so relatable. I love a man with a gentle loving heart and that is what he had. Not afraid to get in touch with his feelings. I was blessed to find my own man whose emotions run deep & he has been a true gift. 32 years & still going strong.

December 29, 2022 - My favorite song!! I miss Dan so, so much! A guy introduced me to Dan Fogelberg’s Netherland’s Album when I was a Freshman in college in 1977. I had heard his other songs, but that album BLEW MY MIND! I was in love with him from that point forward! I miss him TERRIBLY! 😭😭😭😭😭

Leading up to the end of my marriage and divorce, this song really resonated with me because it said exactly what I was feeling and going through. I needed more from my relationship and the other half was no longer willing to give what was needed. I'm happier now but still reminisce of the early days when love was truly in body and soul...... Him and loggins. Still my favorite of his was lyng syne... the song about his true to life ex girlfriend he did run into on Christmas eve.. her eyes though were brown but dan made them blue fir the song. Most of those lyrics are really true though. There a real poetry to Dan's songwriting it is like you are right there... Kenny too... heart to heart was his moment when he realized he and his wife had grown apart. Beautifully painful and so deeply honest you do feeling yourself so torn asyoy break when you finally truly see that you can still love someone but know you have to leave them as you feel they are a stranger to you now. If think Kenny and Dan had a lot in common in this way. Two amazingly prolific songwriters wearing their heart right there fir all the world to witness its breaking. So brutally beautiful their courage to be so real. ❤❤❤❤❤

Dan looks a lot like my HS, we were engaged for two weeks, they weren’t consecutive weeks🤷🏻‍♀️we had our own night of auld lang syne 20 yrs after graduating, I kinda lived that song with him, always miss the HS sweetheart, and Miss Dan that’s for sure, he’s my all time favorite artist
