I just wanna say I discovered this video years ago, and decided to become a unicyclist. I’ve kept that hobby for years, and will never stop. It’s so much fun. Thanks for inspiring me man. Would love to see more tricks.
Wow. What an inspiration, just amazing! My 4 year old is infatuated with watching dans videos, he wants a unicycle! I know how to ride one but do not own one..yet.. Thanks for sharing
Anyone know if this was before crankflips were invented? I'm not complaining; this video has been one of my favorites for years, and it's still awesome to see the foundations of street and flatland. Even though today's best riders (Eli Brill, Chris Hurawai, etc) have such technical skill, it's all based right here.
@foolproof8 it is called a rolling hop. you need to roll then compress the tire with your weight and hop the highest as you can then you need to "tuck" wich is bending your body to reach the obstacle.
@flamelf youre talking about rolling hop? just pratice....block your cranks, jump and pull really hard the seat, bend your knees... the key is praticing
Hey nice Vid I'm a fan Your work is impressive to say the least. I'm new to unicycling (very new) and i'm wanting to do street any tips? Also what unicycle/Unicycle parts to you use? and what PSI in the tire thanks, Squeemin
I'm desperately looking for a video I once watched on YT. It featured various awesome unicyclers including most of the Dan Heaton footage from this clip here. Background music was "Blue Scholars - Southside Revival". Does anyone remember that?
For starting hold on to a wall and get the feel of riding backwards while holding on it. Then hopefully you know how to idle because that will help a lot. For riding backwards PRACTICE A LOT and when starting sit low in your saddle. It mainly just takes practice though
Wow thanks for the explanation, im going to go with the 20/19 for sure. I've been staring at these two unicycles for days and I can't decide. I'm stuck between the "Torker Unistar DX 20" Trials Unicycle" on unicycle.c0m and the "Nimbus 20" Oreo Trials Unicycle" on unicycle.c0m. Any input? I can't decide if the weight is worth it because the Oreo is lighter, but weaker. Plus the torker seat looks painful. But the torker has all the good reviews.
Yahh you deffentilly make it look good i was practicing during lunch(i am in 9th grade) with a friend and people kept say " hey your missing a wheel" It was so annoying!!!!! I really got to work some tricks
This is good to hear because I've actually been leaning towards the Nimbus 20" trials - green unicycle. But it is out of stock, and has been for months. Does anyone know when they get more in stock or somewhere else I can buy one? Also, what is so great about the KH cranks and fusion street saddle? What makes them better?
this might be a dumb question. but I'm looking to buy my first unicycle and have no idea where to start. there is hardly any information online. And would a unicycle be like a computer? Better to build then buy ( more for your money )
@GrandmasMan not much. and what I learned when I started riding was when your a beginner and you dont know what you are doing you can really hurt yourself just from trying to ride regular straight.
Sick. I just got my first Uni yesterday. Just trying not to bust my ass, then I see this. Great stuff. I"m wondering where I can get some shin pads like that?
You clearly have never seen a 36" unicycle. With a 36" wheel you can go over 15 mph for long distances. The unicycle in this video was never engineered for long distances which is why you shouldn't judge it on its transportation capabilities.
