Dan Markel murder: Wendi Adelson begins testimony in retrial of Katherine Magbanua 

Look, I’m a mom. If I encountered a roadblock on the street where my children stayed with my ex husband I would be alarmed and call to check on them. ESPECIALLY after realizing he had called me but I’d ignored his call. I’d be panicked. Its obvious why Georgia mentioned this. It’s also why she mentioned “Bulliet” bourbon journey and confirming the hit.

How is this lady not in prison

Absolutely insane how her answers to the SAME questions are completely DIFFERENT in the retrial.

She makes me sick to my stomach! Not only did she have her husband alive, she erased his name from their kids and not even allow his parents visitation with them. She sought to totally have Dan out of his kids lives. All of Adelson family are evil!

Such intended manipulation for the jury; and it insults me to think that any observant person would buy such a well-practiced (labored) attempted look of innocence. Go away Jodi Arias!

She reveals exactly who she is through her sneering condescension. She wanted family support for her kids from her mother father and brother ... but it was okay to separate these very young boys from their dad? A bond between a father and his kids is sacred. This is so monstrous.

My grandfather was a wise man. He use to say you can't hire an amateur to do the job of a professional. Charlie pays $100,000 to these 2 hoodlums through a woman who's not too bright herself in the category of crime. On the other hand the Adelson family offers $1 million dollars to Dan Markel to let his kids relocate to Miami. Now that right there should tell the you the state of Adelson mentality. The killer rents a car in his name with a bridge transponder to go commit a murder. 🤦! The killer takes his cell phone to commit The murder while posting pics on Instagram 🤷‍♂️. The two killers and Katie meet for the money drop in front of Jessica Rodriguez the wife of Rivera. 🐒. Wendi drives by the murder scene and busts a u turn to take off 🤦‍♂️. Katie makes bank deposits she's never made before the murder 🤷‍♂️. Charlie staples his money and let's more than 1 person know this 🤦. Donna Adelson gets bumped by a federal agent thinking he was a street guy and never called the police 🤷‍♂️. Donna then calls Charlie about the letter and Charlie calls Katherine which was the federal agents wanted 💪. It's game over for these people.

She's half a breath away from a full on panic attack

Wendi claims she changed her kids last name from Markel to Adleson because their names were exposed on national t.v. Did she really think the last name Adleson would be lower profile???

I’m confused how she claims to not be aware or know of some things. She has had years to read and reread all of this. She absolutely knows. As she has legal background and she knows what to say and not say. Bottom line, she is the core reason an innocent man was murdered.

How could she NOT remember the bribe amount? Like it was an odd amount that couldn’t be remembered, such as $678,323. It was 1 million dollars !!!

I cannot believe how horrible the Adelson family is. Kudos to Ms. Cappleman and to everyone else who has supported the Markel family throughout this nightmare. Ruth, Danny’s mom, has written a book called, “The Unveiling” if you have any interest in this case it’s definitely worth a read.

The fact Wendi laughs and smiles on almost every question is so telling. I think she was the mastermind of it all to get a Hitman. Her “family” simply did what she had requested . She’s pure evil. She’s listening to the sidebar which shows her level of involvement in her legal cases. She’s not some uneducated bystander.

If you asked Wendi - “Do you eat bread?” She would reply- “Well, define ‘eat’.

She has that classic thinly-veiled smirk that many along the narcissistic to psychopathic spectrum often have. Taking an absolute delight in knowing that she knows that you know and her both know what she did but that you can't ever prove it...so in her mind, she "wins". Everything boils down to winning.

I am not a big time smart lawyer who passed the bar and I can remember where I lived 20 years ago. I can even remember my address from when I was a child. You mean to tell me she doesn’t know her old neighborhood? It’s so weird the things she lies about. I don’t understand because she’s “smart” but she makes so many dumb decisions in the way she testifies. This whole case is just mind blowing.

She found a good Patsy/boyfriend to take the blame but luckily he had a change of plans giving him an alibi. Her disregard for people shows that she is an evil social path.

It seems like Wendy thinks she has full immunity and can never be charged on anything based off this case. She seemed shook when the prosecutor explained "you can still be prosecuted, even though what you say here today can't be used against you".

Anyone who kills because of their children don’t give a crap about them. It’s all about power, control and getting revenge on the other parent, NOT the child’s welfare. If they cared they would consider what impact losing a parent would have and the bigger impact of possibly being caught, therefore losing BOTH parents would have. Wendi controlled everyone in her family and put all this in motion. No way would they have killed him if she didn’t want it done.

Wendi's smile appears strange to me and she minimizes her resentment for her ex husband. We all know she wanted him gone!

By far my favorite moment is when Wendi is asked if after seeing the road block on her ex husbands street if she called the daycare, or if she called Danny. A “damn-I forgot to think of that” moment comes across her face and her voice gets very soft. It never occurred to her that she should’ve done that.

It is really bothersome the way she calls her dead husband Danny as though she had some feeling for him. She and her family had the poor man violently killed by thugs.

What I find truly astonishing is this has literally plagued their lives since it happened (2014). Did they honestly think they would just be able to go on with their lives in perfect peace? I have no doubt they have spent every day since it happened looking over their shoulders, scheming and plotting. What a way to live, could’ve just come to an amicable agreement but Wendi did not want to relocate. Selfish hussy

I can’t imagine what her kids are going to think when they realize that their uncle, and more than likely grandma, had their father murdered.

She sure does close her eyes a lot when answering questions that challenge her innocence. It is not proof of her lying, but it is an indicator.

Such measured and expert questioning by the prosecutor, stopping at the right moments letting Wendi's answers just sit with the jury - from the timing of the TV repair to the ages of the children when their Dad was taken from them. Absolute classic finish- "But sure...", " "But sure?" "But sure what?"...."No further questions"!

What kind of mothers, she and her mom, could do this to their children?! She’ll be punished most by her sons wanting nothing to do with her when they understand what selfish manipulators they both are. Wendi and her mother are terrible people and mothers

SHE WORE THE SAME OUTFIT WHEN SHE TESTIED IN THE FIRST TRIAL.

The Prosecuting Attorney has her number. She doesn't allow her to talk on about herself or portray herself in a victim light. She keeps her on track and makes her answer the question.

So one of her jobs as an attorney was to represent victims of human trafficking, yet Wendi knew her brother Charlie openly traveled to Asian countries for sex with underage girls. And yet I suspect Wendi and the Adelsons would see anything paradoxical about this.

For someone who is a lawyer Wendi seems to have a bad memory about her divorce settlement and conveniently has very little recollection about events involving the death of her ex husband. She is so guilty!

A parent who tries to keep the child away from mother or father is a bad parent unless the child's welfare is in jeopardy. Usually these parents instrumentalize their own offspring to get back at their spouses. In a lot of cases it's all about control and revenge, and has nothing to do with the children's needs and desires. Shame on these parents.

At 42:09 when Wendy is asked the question “did your brother use drugs” she stops for a bit and you can hear someone tell her “tell the truth” and instantly says “yes”

Her smugg face just irritates me to no end.. it is amazing anyone stayed with her as long as Dan did

It's so strange to me that she can't remember specifics about her divorce but she remembered to wear the exact same outfit while testifying.

Wendi will be seen as a liar simply because she’s conceding to absolutely no wrong doing in the divorce/custody battle. There are no angels in a custody battle. It’s highly contentious, emotional and a the worst experience of the divorce process because your children are involved.

1:06:30 her blink rate goes up substantially when asked what she was doing at the day of the murder

51:40- She subtly shakes her head yes in response to whether it was a dinner to celebrate her ex- husband's murder. This is a psychological or impulse response when someone is lying. She's articulating the words "Absolutely not" while nodding her head yes. She's more than likely lying when this happens.

Do you think we are stupid? no one smiles like that and make a happy face during court unless they are acting .

I love the way the prosecutor stops her from going off on the crazy tangent stories like she did in the first trial....also her having on the same dress as the first trial just shows how deceptive an evil she is, for sure her evil mother said it was a good plan. She said she works with victims of trafficking and immigrants but her and her family paid three Latinx people money to commit murder and throw their lives away and end up in prison for life, which will cause their families and children to suffer immeasurably. But yeah she can keep tooting her own horn about how much she helps people.

She looks nervous this time, and not nearly as cocky. With Charlie awaiting trial and the new enhanced recording of Magnanua and Charlie, she has a lot more to worry about. Love to see her squirm. Lots more Botox since the last trial.

Anybody else catch when Wendi said 1:18:29 “ASKED THEM where I could find that” when referring to the liquor she bought that morning? Someone was making sure people remembered her being there that morning IMO.

This is what happens when a spoiled brat complains to her enabling family. She planted the seed and her family, who has always taken care of her, did the rest. She knows exactly what happened and is fine with it because she got her way.

If you’re Charlie Adelson, do you put a plan in motion to have your sister’s ex-husband murdered without first getting her permission? What if you did it and she was so morally horrified that she then turned you into the police? No, you’d first want to make sure the plan met with her approval. Wendi knew. But of course the plan didn’t involve Charlie getting nabbed and probably being sent to prison. 😁 And one day the kids will learn all the details of this case. That’ll be an interesting day. Really, the Adelsons have gotten away with nothing.

As far as motive goes, at 31:38 it sounds like the family quite literally had a million reasons. Also peculiar is that moments earlier, she can't remember this number, even though "one million dollars" is literally the easiest-to-remember amount.

No worries people. There is no statute of limitations on murder. If this woman is guilty, she’ll be found out.
