Dan Nimmer Trio (USA) Dan Nimmer - zongora/piano, David Wong - bőgő/string bass, Pete van Nostrand - dob/drums Vendég/special guest: Scott Robinson (USA) - szaxofon/saxophone
Yes, this is an very beautiful tune and exquisitely played by Scott. If you guys are interested check him playing with these amazing Jazz-geniuses from the Barcelona Jazz academy. Concerts with these young people are amazing and at one concert Scott, floating lyrically above them, is truly mesmerising to hear/see. Dan & his men, what we are hearing now, are about the best trio around. I'm now an old geezer but can still hear absolute talent and these guys are, without a doubt that! So please don't let this incredible Jazz art-form whiter away by complacement! We all do admire/respect/savour the classic's like van Beethoven, Hayden, Bach, etc. So you Americans, where this incredible music (your only art-form, by the way) originates from don't let this sublime music disappear. So jump into action, now!
A lovely song by Sammy Cahn & Jule Styne, too rarely played nowadays. Beautiful version by Scott. He plays the same tune on his Arbors CD "Thinking Big" on bass saxophone.
