People keep posting: 2019, 2020, 2021 and this song is still relevant and heart wrenching. A little girl who's mother has forgotten her birthday and a mother who has abandoned her family is and always will be a tragedy. I could not listen to this song as a teenager without tearing up, and still can't as a middle aged man. RIP Dan Seals.
Yes sir I know the feeling I’m in bad health 62 years old me and my awesome wife of 43 years are having to raise our two beautiful granddaughters because my son and his wife are on dope, meth addiction brought hardship to many families we live in small town in Alabama meth is everywhere I’m praying for the families that are struggling through the same problems we are and you too sir Jesus please help all the families that are suffering from meth addiction 🙏
@@jerryhopper1685 God bless you guys... all i can say - unsolicited advice i know - is home school them. that poison got into your kids through the influence of the world. You get a chance to start over with these little ones. Never sugarcoat anything. Show them the ugly along with the good. I'm not saying cut your grands off from outside influence, i'm saying don't give outsiders a chance to meddle and corrupt them! This is all being done on purpose. people have GOT to step out of this madness. in the meantime i will pray for you all, including your son and his wife. some day they're gonna know the cost...
Dan Seals had a lot of really good songs . I use to listen to them when I was young with my mom in a old 85 Samurai my dad bought new. I was born in 76 still listening to them today
I don’t have kids, never had a love leave me. Just listen to this song late at night to feel the emotion and the harmony and the lyrics. Mesmerizing every time.
I listened to his music all the time. I went through a horrible depression in 2007 and I would take long drives in the country and play his cd's in my truck. RIP to a legend.
This very Song was my first of all his evergreen collections that charmed my heart and made Dan Seals my favourite Country Singer. Every one in the Family is Addicted to Dan Seals... Honestly, when I won MR. FINESSE (The Most Handsome Guy) on campus way back in my University Days... Everything That Glitters kept me on my toes.
We all loved dan seals music and watch all the viedios posted online this is his biggest hit I'd say I remember like it was yesterday when it came out on the radio in 1985 I worked with my uncle doing electrical work he told me I stuck with it I'd could some decent money later he was right he passed in 2010 right after dan seals love this man too.
Orando por consuelo y paz para ti, y oro para que estés con ella nuevamente cuando llegue el momento y encuentres alegría en la vida hasta entonces. (Praying for comfort and peace for you, and I pray you'll be with her again when it's time and you find joy in life until then)❤
The lyrics may be too much for crazy feminists to handle. Still, its one of the finest songs in Country music history and Dan Seals was a superb artist.
It sure was prophetic wasn't it?? i grew up in the world feminists created and yet i long for the days of Leave it to Beaver and Dennis the Menace.... Where the parents stuck together, both raised the kids with love, gave them responsibilities and moral standards. No it wasn't perfect, but compared to the way things are now? yeah where's my time machine??
RIP, Dan Seals------------------Love this song --------------& I'm not really a country guy, but I love Dan's voice & music. -------------------------WolfSky9, 74 y/o
Like when my Mom would stop Ol Yeller before Henry shoots the dog. Years later,my sister was watching the movie with her toddler daughter who asked "What's he doing with the gun,Mommy?"
@@captainbigbird9399 I had to leave my Dachshund Buddy at the vet being treated for congestive heart failure. Before I left I told him"If you have to go to Heaven before I get back, find someone who couldn't have a dog in this life & show them what having a good dog is like." I should have been there for the end.
Life is like a rodeo, sometime the riding is smooth and sometime we got to ride the wild bucking bull. But she wanted to be everyone's sweetheart of the rodeo instead of being the guiding hand that her child needed. I do hope one day she will realize what this is going to cost her and what she lost.
Loretta Lynn recently remarked that "Country Music is Dead". I don't know what she has been listening to, but I have to disagree wholeheartedly with her on that.
