Dan's cover of our National Anthem was phenomenal!!! The best version I've ever heard and I listen to it often. I also love his ""apology" What a great guy and don't mind the wimps!!
I SO LOVE Dan’s attitude of being unoffendable and paying no attention to those who are in the “wimps” category!!!!! “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade”, right? Dan though will take every lemon, plant every seed to grow a massive orchard of lemon trees and take that to the bank, LOL! 😂 That is SO FIRE!!!! Regarding the merch store, at this point in time, as far as I know, it has not yet been sorted out and re-set since the end of October when the previous store people (Represent) sold out to a new company (Cameo). Dan said, just a couple of weeks back, that he'd be getting it re-done, just as soon as possible, but that he's been very busy, so it still might be a while.

As soon as the video started, and that background tune was playing, I knew there wasn't gonna be a serious apology...that song is from a mexican comedy show (El Chavo Del Ocho) that's very popular in Brazil since the 80s, played during some sad scenes
I’m Canadian & I have kids & grandkids & my brother who have been blessed to be able to live in the US. I love & respect your national anthem & support your military men & women & greatly appreciate Dan singing the national anthem. My one son was privileged to be asked to sing your anthem @ a major league ball game. Don’t ever apologize for doing that awesome song.

@@ddperks1131. I sure do. Amazing Grace was the first Dan song I watched and your reaction was the first reaction I watched. I realized how much a reaction improved my enjoyment. Dan makes me laugh and cry. And watching you laugh and cry with him doubles my enjoyment. When you see a video has 12K views and only 2K likes, it is because we can watch a video 100 times but only like it once.
I'm glad you got to see this. Dan's Star Spangled Banner cover is actually one of the few metal covers of his that I don't care for, but that's irrelevant. He's his own boss, he and only he decides what he sings, and the backlash was puzzling and uncalled for, in my opinion. As for you as a reactor, you should ALWAYS say what you really think about the music you're reviewing - that's your job. If people go to RU-vid only to hear gushing praise of their favorite artists, what's the point? Thanks. See you next time.
I was waiting for your expressions when he started his apology. Lol. Most people have that "wait a minute...are you kidding?" look at first. Dan is not woke, not PC, & a Jordan Peterson fan, too. Love so much about the guy in addition to his music. His Star Spangled Banner is in my top 3, as well. The other 2 being Whitney Houston's iconic version and the other is by Madison Rising w/Dave Bray (Veteran Navy/Marine) as lead singer. Whitney is gone & Madison Rising broke up (Dave is solo & still sings it, though).
Wow! I didn’t think I would run into another person who had heard Madison Risings version- before Dan it was my favorite to hear- now it’s Dan and them!

I'm waiting to see how he treats that one. It should be VERY interesting! A few weeks back, on a really nice, long interview with Eric July, on the Young Rippa podcast, he talked about it, and indicated that he had a special way of keeping his promise, that we'd have to wait to see, should the bet be won by Gary (which he already knew was bound to happen). 😀
I liked your reaction. Most of us who have known Dan for a while, knew that an apology from Dan was not consistent with his view of life.. we were all relieved by what he actually did in this “apology”video. ‘
New to your channel and like your reactions to videos. I just subscribed. I was not offended by Dan singing the Star Spangled Banner-I thought that he sang it because it was meaningful to him. FYI-my mother was a sergeant in the marine Corp in WW2
Dan walks the walk and talks the talk. Dan knows what wants and walks on no matter. Yes does says stuff we don't agree with but this not afraid to say so, credit to him. We all say stuff that we really feel but that doesn't make us bad just honest. Don't like it move on. Dan is a breath of fresh air.💙💙🐋🐋🐋

I would say that there are quite a few "reactors" out there that are fake, as you said. The only argument that I'd make against what you stated is this: I've managed to not listen to Elvis for easily the past 30 years; I know who he is, and I've heard his music before, but to say that someone who is 30-40 years old is lying when they say they haven't heard his music would not necessarily be true. I'm in my 50s and feel like I caught the tail end of Elvis' popularity in the 70s-80s as I was growing up, so a 30-40 year old may easily have missed hearing his music. Not knowing his name might be another matter, but not knowing his music is believable. Some reactors may not realize they have heard certain music, but they aren't necessarily lying when they initially claim to have no clue about the current song being reacted to until it starts and they come to a part they recognize. Most real reactors will admit at that point that they have indeed heard it, or part of it, but simply did not know the songs title or group who originally did it. Black Pegasus is one such reactor; he has had the "ah-ha moment" on a few songs. Also, I had a girlfriend back in the 90s that thought Bobby Brown was the original singer of 'Hotel California'. She had never heard the Eagles before in her 19 years of life. I had to pull out my Eagles CDs and show her the dates they were recorded and play the original song for her, and even then she struggled and claimed Bobby's version was somehow better. Well, to each their own; I couldn't stand Bobby's cover of it, still can't (just went and listened to a portion to make sure I wasn't misremembering).

I don't react, so not really relevant, but I'm 37 and while I've certainly heard of Elvis, and know quite a bit about him, I've never actually heard him sing a song the whole way through. I've heard clips, but not a whole song. Lol just thought I'd mention it.
At 6 minutes, regarding Metallica.. I love their arrangements and compositions. The instrumentals are phenomenal, and many of their songs have some profound lyrics. That said... ... I can't stand to listen to them sing. It just rubs me wrong somehow. So I totally get you not liking Metallica, because I have a love/hate relationship with them myself.
