It takes a lot of skill to sing this operatic piece properly and in my opinion Dan nails it. Most singers won't even attempt to put this out to the public but Dan, as most of us know, is classically trained and does a superb job. A stellar display of Dan's vocal prowess and versatility. Having seen Luciano Pavarotti in concert in the early 90s, it blew me away hearing Dan perform this so unbelievably well. That emotion he shows probably isn't just Dan's delivery of the story... his Dad passed away from cancer several months prior, and they had shared a bond over Pavarotti, Bocelli, etc. Truly beautiful tribute to his father. Dan also does a cover of the Bocelli and Brightman duet "Time to Say Goodbye" with Rehn Stillnight, which is quite impressive & lovely, too. I'm so glad you decided to react to this one, Roscoe. Seeing your facial expression when Dan hit that first high & powerful note, I knew you felt this one just like most of us did the first time. I still get goosebumps every time I hear it. This cover is a tribute to his father who was Italian and loved operas and especially this one, that's why the tears, Dan has a classical and contemporary background and sings everything from opera to heavy power metal and has thousands of voices and tones. tks

The emotion shown by Dan is because this was one of his Father's favorite songs. Dan and his Father would drive around and listen to opera on the car radio. His Father passed in 2017 without seeing Dan achieve his goal of earning a living by music on RU-vid.
Hey Roskoe. Dan did a great job. Not many singers have the versatility to go from heavy metal to opera. Nathan Pacheco also does a nice cover of this song.
