holy shit... i'm at work listening to this and trying not to laugh uncontrollably at the "I want everything you can GIVE me" part... tears are coming out of my eyes.
Dana Carvey is great. His impressions are more characteristic stereotypical versions of those actors rather than accurate imitations like the kind Bill Hader does. Bill does an impression of Alan Alda that is amazing. He's the only person I've ever seen do that impression. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4iaHrXHPraI.htmlsi=S8minEFRNnpu4k6t
Norm MacDonald got fired from SNL because he went for the funny and said to hell with the network and the broadcast standards council. Now of course you can say and do more risky material on streaming services, podcasts etc. but there is always a group that will crucify you if you hit one of their sacred cows. Now I don't actually think Dana Carvey is homophonic, racist or sexist. I think he goes for the funny. Funny often means things that are incongruent. Comedians find a way to build it into a bit. The rest of us are aware that something seems off, but we aren't trained or are missing some gene that allows us to hit the mark. I'm not at all advocating for hateful or mean spirited stuff. Carvey often really likes and respects the targets of his comedy.
The Lancaster is very good, the sound and the words. The Douglas is weird. I get what he's going for but I wouldn't get who it was supposed to be right away
Would it still have been funny as hell if it was either of them with Katherine Hepburn? The answer is yes, So, it's fine to do with Douglas and Lancaster. Whether or not they're gay is unnecessary to the jokes humor.
Very funny. Dana Carvey impressions are more realistic when you don't see his face. From what I read about Kirk and Burt maybe the sex should have been the other way.
