Dana White revealed why he felt the need to help Joe Pyfer out with a place to live. VISIT: www.themaclife.com FOLLOW: / themaclifeofficial FOLLOW: / themaclife LIKE: / themaclife
Dana is definitely a ruthless businessman. what you have to be... but he absolutely has a heart and it looked like he was actually trying not to get emotional here. That's nice to see
Bro, nothing is free in this world/life. I hope you don't go around expecting hand outs and when you don't get one, start hating those that are doing better than you. There's always a catch
@Baby Boy you can't point out a lack of context when you start your point with a flat out lie. No fight commission in the world is going to sanction free fights dude. The contender series guys get 5k to show 10k to win.
They aren't fighting for free, they just aren't fighting for money. They are fighting for something worth more. Opportunity. Which is what they work for, an opportunity. Also, their faces are shown on all of our tv's. Some things are far more valuable than money, especially when you're trying to show off your skills, and put yourself out there to he seen.
I used to think the same. He will do you dirty the moment he doesn't need you. He bought that dude a house because he needs fighters. Pay someone a million bucks to sign a contract or buy a 200k house. He'll get free fights off that fighter for years now. I don't hate on it tho I'd do the same thing as a business man you gotta look after the business. Just don't make believe this guy Dana white is some genuine caring person cuz he's not lol
How easily influenced some of you guys are. Dana does the occasional charity gesture to detract form his horrendous business practises and overall treatment of fighters and you all lap it up. An abusive narcissist can still do nice things now and then, but it still doesn't change the fact he is an abusive narcissist.
@@somerandomperson8282 thank you, I give Dana his credit from the early days when the UFC wasn't really all the well known, but today's Dana is pretty fuckin terrible
When you're that rich, it's only natural. Elon Musk could spend 1 million a day for 600 years and still have money left. There is no shortage of liquidity, but the problem is that it's all concentrating in the hands of corporation owners. This wealth has to be redistributed more efficiently, instead of printing more money when the world is about to crash and burn. We need to put a ceiling on how rich someone can get imo. It's getting out of control, and governements printing more only making it worse. You'll own nothing and be happy, they said.
Dana is a lot better guy than people give him credit for. He doesn’t do it for attention. He does it out of the kindness of his heart because he’s seen everything.
Dana is a man! He does good things & bad things like a lot of Men. We shit on him when we hear about the bad things so we should elevate his name when we hear about the good stuff.
People like to shit on Dana a lot and trust me at times it’s definitely warranted but Dana is a good dude. Who does that? Dana could’ve easily said not my problem but went out of his way to buy him a house and gave him money. That’s nothing but amazing.
I don't know if he is truly a good dude. I think he does at time do good things. Doesn't make him a good guy. In the same sense, just because you can be a dick sometimes doesn't make you necessarily a bad guy. Unless you really know someone, you don't know. Case in point, Bill Cosby. Sure, this is an extreme example, but an example of someone that did all these great things for people. Look at as one of the best examples of being a good person; However, was an evil man behind the scenes. We didn't know it for most of his life. Point being, unless we know the person, we really don't know who they really are.
You're right, people will find any excuses to bash Dana. Even when you're rich and let's say you contribute your wealth for the people who have cancer. There's always one person or two that will hate you for no reason🤷♂️. S/O to Dana White for his gratitude 🙏.
Dana is uncle dana. He is as good as he is bad. Which is fair. Do not take him for granted or you lost , but come to him if your heart feels something because he will take a second to listen to you. Most of the guys do not have the balls to talk to him and prefer to go online to talk shit about things he does not do... Please.
UFC pays their fighters 16% of the profit from an event while every other martial arts organisations (mma, boxing etc) pays around 50%. Free choice to fight for them or watch but let's not be naive about what Dana and the UFC cares about the most and what their moral standards are. If UFC fighters got paid the same as boxers Dana wouldn't have to pay for a fighters housing. And it's pocket change what he paid. He spends more of the fighters money at the casinos.
@@chrissibersky4617 facts it’s a shit organisation Connor and Nate made it relevant if u ask me now that they’re gone Dana just wants his next cash cow etc Khamzat
If you say that to be as good as to be bad is like saying it‘s okay to murder one person if you save another person. Morality doesn‘t work like that, there is things that can‘t be balanced out doesn‘t matter what good you do.
Like Dana says He doesn't tell us anything. Whether he comes out with all the good things he does or not someone will talk ish so why bother explaining yourself if you're comfortable with your actions.
George Steinbrenner was another guy that people would love to hate, but he gave millions to charity and never crowed about it, because he understood that wasn't the point. Dana gets plenty of flack for his hardened exterior, but there's simply no way in hell you could surround yourself with hardcore combat athletes and still be fully in control of a company the size of the UFC without having armor-plated skin, and impervious to all the criticism. Whenever the time comes for Dana White to leave the UFC, it'll never be the same without him. Flaws and all, he's been an unstoppable force that made this sport what it is.
@@damiansconberg4715 Where would those fighters be without Dana White signing them? That's like saying a company is nothing without its employees, which is true, but where would those employees be without the company? Unemployed
I don't know if it was already mentioned, but Dana gave him $20,000 and paid his rent for a year. He said that Pyfer saved that 1st Contender Series show with his performance and attitude. I'm sure Dana does A TON of stuff for fighters that never gets mentioned. Good for him for taking care of his fighters and not looking for credit.
This is one of those videos that really makes you like Dana. You can tell by the way he said "that ain't gonna happen" there was no way Joe was gonna have to worry about having a home.
Hahaha ok lol. What about when tim sylvia needed to start a go fund me to get surgery on the arm that broke in a ufc fight? Doesnt help spencer fisher either. The guy a scumbag and you clowns eat it all up
Gotta say, that's pretty awesome and one of the most gangster things he's ever said..."He told me he was about to be homeless...well, that ain't gonna happen (smirk)" love that shit.
This a big thing the hates and ppl in general don't know about BPD(big poppa dana) is he does this kind of stuff a LOT... and it usually goes under the radar until much later. Like when cowboy got in a "boat scuffle" some odd years back and lets just say cowboy was needing some real defense. He immediately called BPD and he handled it with his own finances and got cowboy free of trouble.
May God continue to bless you, your family, and all you do Dana! That was as heartwarming a statement as I have ever heard! Thank you for everything you bring us for entertainment and all you do as a humanitarian!💯🙏🏽
It's so funny to see all the dana D riders here in the comments pretend like dana is some generous saint for giving out 100k here and there, that would be like you giving a homeless guy 10 cents of the 50k you make per year off of your blue collared job lil bro 💀
I like the fact that Dana just give them enough to live decently but when they started demanding more like boxers does, he doesn't let that happen because fighters would start being too picky with their fights.
Good on you uncle Dana I for 1 am grateful for Dana White there would be no UFC without him imagine MMA was ran like boxing is run utterly corrupt from top to bottom and the best fighters most of the time don't fight eachother not in the UFC god bless uncle Dana 👍
Joe pyfer's story to the ufc is one that will def touch your heart. from a homeless kid sleeping on park benches as a kid to headlining on the biggest mma promotion in the world.
Thats what you do when you have lots of money... Help other People, not showoff your money buying stuff and posting it on social media. Money dont change People, having money allows you to be more of Who you really are
Very very true. Totally agree that money exposes the true person, not changes them I know numerous wealthy people, some from family money, some self made. But amongst all of them, it doesn’t seem to matter where the money came from; some are just nice people and some are assholes. A few of them, you would never, ever know they are rich. Don’t show off in any way, don’t even drive that nice of a car, etc. Except they do a lot of things quietly to help people, they avoid trying to get recognition for it
This is a media stunt to shut the fan base up about talking about fair fighter pay. A house to dana is a piece of lettuce to the average person. The gesture is insanely kind, and I can respect that, but the man scams his fighters still. Pays Buffer more than most fighters too lol.
It’s interesting to me that the only people really bitching about fighter pay, are not the fighters themselves. I think the fact that Dana doesn’t tell anyone anything really drives people nuts..
fighters for years what are you talking about? lmao Dana doesn't like talking about the good he does he sure as hell doesn't want to talk about the shitty stuff he does
Respect dana💪👊👍 Dudes got a lot of critics and I have sometime done it myself(when he shit on leon and dan hardy for saying what everybody thought about Diaz vs khamzat)
George Steinbrenner who was an incredibly giving himan being, stated that if you do something to help and aid another person and tell more than 3 people you have done it for the wrong reasons!! Wise wise words. After he passed on New York sports talk radio i remember so many people from all walks of life called in to share various incredibly generous things he had done foe them personally. Dana seems similar in that way.
@@cadebeek3111 Stop allowing yourself to be brainwashed and do the research. The UFC is a commercial real estate bought and traded on the World Stock Exchange. That means that there is a board that makes the decisions. Dana White is just a face with dominate shares. He has limited decisions outside the board.
Some of yall talk a lot of shit of a person you dont know...just sayin idk if this man good or bad nonetheless he has a heart and a champ shouldnt be getting looked after like that you making champ money imo. Idk doe i dint have a contract and im nit a fighter of the ufc
Ur gonna look a man in the eye that’s putting his body on the line for your company telling you he’s homeless with a billion dollars in your bank account and say “damn bro sorry nothing I can do” 😂😂😂
Lmao what we DO know is that the UFC pays the fighters 17% of the overall revenue generated, while most other major sports organizations pay their fighters close to 50%. And Dana White is the face of this under paying organization. 😂 Just say you're a Dana White fanboy and leave. 🤣
Something Jake Paul could never do. That fake is too busy rug pulling and scamming his 14 year old audience of RU-vid ads. Dana actually cares and provides above and beyond. Respect.
cant stand paul brothers, and dont care to, but jake is dead on about fighter pay. fighters need insurance too! "We don't have insurance, I've got to get my own insurance." Usman
If they started making what they were “worth”. Ufc would be as big as Bellator, and then eventually they would make what they were worth as per bellator contract. Once you go around that circle, it’s better the way they are now.
That fact that he doesn’t even want to talk about it or give any details about it shows the absolute saint like character. He I not doing it for recondition he is doing it bc he genuinely wants to.
Been saying this for years. You can just tell by watching him in interviews. Dana seems like a good dude. I doubt there are many, if any billionares you could just have a normal conversation and a beer with like him.
Dana let my good friend Nick live with him when he had trouble with his parents at home. He even left Nick the keys to a car to use as long as he did the right thing. Guy has a good heart
Dana is the man. Always appreciated him! Ufc has always been so captivating. The more hungry you are, (to self promote/build your own image-brand, win fights, express your skillset) the more financially successful you will be. Look at boxing it's only the very very rare top dogs that get paid ridiculous money. The 98% get pennies. Ufc treats everyone well, (alot in the background aswell). Their system is great. Keeps fighters driven keeps fans extremely happy. It's a win win. Become driven and you'll make it, if not... shut your pie hole and be grateful to be watching such amazing entertainment week in week out. Dana's the goat
Dana's a business man and sometimes it has to be about the business first. The fighters know the deal and the risk. But you also don't get to where Dana's at without having some ethic. Remember when he had Chuck Liddell on the payroll for just hanging out? Then the UFC got bought and so the gravy train ended for a lot of people. That's just the business.
