The best gambling advice I ever got was from an employee who gambled every weekend. He said when you pull up to the casino make sure you have a full tank of gas.
A hippie in a van in a parking lot near the casino called out to me in the night snd I said " what's up?" He said I lost all my money gambling and habe no money left for gas to get back to my town, will ypu buy this 14 grams of hash off me for 50 bucks? I said hell ya lmao
I walk in with $10k and my goal is $500-1000 daily and then leave. Others being more and make budge bets while I build up with minimum bets and use the house money to swing bet to my goal and leave. Too me years to jeans and become disciplined while leaving emotions out of it and learned to take breaks and take time. Most never learn this .
you do realize that when you go back to the casino, the odds of you winning are not reset. They are likely you lose in the long run. You can't trick the odds into forgetting about you.
A very precious lesson is , if you win half of your money you came with , you get up and leave , until next time. You do that consistently, your willpower is your biggest edge against the casino.
Pretty good way is at least 100 spins. If you have 100$ 1$ a spin. Count your 100 spins either break even get ahead or still leave with some money instead of broke. If you a land a good bonus before the 100 spins then cash out.
You can't ever go with a friend. If you double triple your money in the first half hour and ready to leave, your friend will want to stay for 10 more hours
Dana is talking specifically about people who CANT AFFORD to lose. Those are the people who get their car repoed and lose their mortgage if they always stay. Unfortunately most people are alcoholics(sliding scale)and the free alcohol is a rationalization for continuing to stay.
I remember going to my first real casino. I walked around for 2 hours because I was so overwhelmed and had no idea what I was doing. I finally sat down at a slot machine, put in $100 and spun a few times, hit a free play, and sat there for 20 minutes waiting for the payout. I won $1500 off of it, got hand paid, and immediately left. 2 weeks later, I went back trying to repeat and won another $500 in the first 30 minutes. I went back the next week and only won $100. Week 4, I lost $500. Week 5, lost another $500. Week 6, another $500. I went back for 10 more weeks and still haven't won jack shit. I was one of the dumbasses that fell for the bait 😭
Slot machines are absolutely a no go if you aren’t coming up with specific limits for losses. I play them for fun sometimes, good thing they are not worth that much fun so I can set my loss limit at 20 - 50 dollars.
@@PhilMacrackin-wj7bg What does that have to do with the price of tea in China? He's saying you double up and leave. Simple as that. Not whether or not people can afford to gamble.
@@17.2Miles yea he also said he bets as high as he can he ain’t in there betting 10$ to walk out with 20$ bro lol unless you are making thousands in disposable income you better not be gambling or your gonna be sorry even people who win millions end up gambling it right back. Unless your good at poker or can count cards it’s all just luck
The secret is in the Max Bet on anything you do in the Casino. If the table max is $250, take $2,500 and understand you’re playing with 10 hands. Statistically, the dealer is expected to win 6 of those 10. Meaning your 4 “winning” bets can only win you a max of $1,000. If you win/lose the first 2 hands. Leave, because chances of the 4 straight winning hands are not in your favor while 4 straight losing is much more probable. So the rule is, once you win 2 in a row or lose 2 in a row. Leave.
It resets your luck mate. In all the intelligence in Dana white to create the business he did, this is some dipstick mentality. I don't expect any more from the RU-vidrs supporting him.
I convinced my two army buddies to stop by Vegas for half a day while we traveled from Fort Ord California to Illinois. I started with $40 on a progressive nickel machine and ended up leaving three days later after paying for our hotel rooms and all her food and drinks and had $400 left over. I’ve been to Vegas many times since then, and I have never yet gambled because I have bragging rights that I beat Vegas.
Its not about knowing when to stop, is knowing NOT TO START! That is truly playing with fire, it is so addictive for a reason, the amount of lives ruined by gambling, testify to that.
I tell folks that all the time. After you double your money, it’s over. Regardless of what you start with. You can stop sooner but you shouldn’t gamble longer than that.
@@2314gaylord You gotta see it from my perspective though, I 13x ed my money and I thought I had cracked some code or something in black jack. I was betting double to make up losses with money I had already won and didn't Walk in with, thought I could keep it going, maybe would have but then I went to roulette and that ate it all.
@@iranexplained1828 I’ve been there dawg. Dana and I aren’t saying this because we read it in a book. We’ve been there, done that several times. So when you got up and didn’t leave. We knew you were gonna leave there broke. So you were up all that money and didn’t leave. You know why? BECAUSE YOU WEREN’T GONNA BE SATISFIED UNTIL YOU GAVE IT ALL BACK!! Lol. That’s not an opinion or perspective. That’s a fact. So next time. If you start with 5 dollars and get up to 50. Just leave dawg. YOU WON!! Lol ✌🏾
I just have gambled once at a Casino. It was in Montreal and was 8 years ago. I like poker so I went to play poker. Entry was $100 and I won $60 in about 1 hour. Then I left. So, that’s it. Now where I live there’s a Casino next to where I used to work and I thought of going to play poker just to see. But after making $100k in crypto and then losing it all I can say I have an addiction to gambling. Many friends of mine who were addicted to betting on sports online told me gambling was the worst addiction, even worse than coke. They said “at least coke you feel good and you know what you are getting for your money”. I have never gambled again after that because I am poor now and have a hard time meeting month’s end. Just by imagine suffering hunger again when I was homeless makes me really hold myself up to gambling, because I know I would go back to square one if I do it.
100% Accurate! Vegas is not for fun unless you just doing dinner/shows/drinking. If you came to win, you focus and play, and if you are up you walk. Winning only happens with strict rules.
Had this dealer tell me a story that he delt someone who was playing three hands with 10k on each. He was on fire got up to 580k and then things turned he lost it all along with another 200k. It's a deadly addiction and it's not so easy to leave when you're up.
I'm a professional poker player. I've been playing for a living for over 20 years. I started playing at the age of 14 without even finishing the high school. During my career, I have seen enough and heard enough of all sorts of game and life stories. Spending more time in the casino than at home, I can already say from one glance at a person what awaits him on the territory in the casino. Dana, of course, does not understand at all what he is talking about, because it absolutely does not matter when you won and left the casino and let's say you came there again only ten years later. Or you won and went to the toilet and returned to play after 5 minutes - NO difference. The GAME CONTINUES and your chances have not changed in any way, your mathematical expectation is always minus. The best option when you first visit the casino is to lose your $500 very quickly, without any pleasure, without hope. And if, when ordering Whisky-soda from a waitress, she says - Get a fuck out from here the pimple impotent! then at a distance it will be a very positive evening for you!
I think he means be up 2 hands, he says in another video he doesn’t care if it’s 2hrs or 8hrs, soon as he wins two hands he’s gone. Question is when does he decide to leave without getting the 2 hands?
Lol you think Dana White gambles his own money?? The Casino pays him for promo, you guy's still don't understand the scam, no matter how much it's explained to you.
Me and my friend went. I hit 1700 over 2 days and I said I'm done. My friend also hit but he won 4k. He said let's go in high limit and we'll go have breakfast. I said Il watch you play. 100 min hands. He starts betting 2 or 3 hundred a hand he loses 2k in like 15 minutes I said cmon let's go. Well he lost the other 2k and ended up down 3 hundred. Blamed me for losing. I said I told you not to fuck with high limit.
Spoken like a true gambler 😂 The only way you can win is by not going fellas Just simple as that Consider any gamble a loss If you do it for fun , cool But other than that you’re fooked
Yes. Even if you win and walk away you will more than likely return again soon someday because the thrill of having won will make you go back then you'll eventually lose it all back, unless you're a genius and a pro.
@cksammi this is what I explain to people. If you play regularly getting up and walking away doesn't do anything for you unless you are physically and/or mentally failing. Tired, on tilt, hungry, causing your bad decisions because the odds aren't changing by you walking away.
@@cksammi personal experience from the worse gambler in the world ie Me........ You win, you will loose more. Even a winning streak of say 3/4 in a row the ending is inevitable for a person like me. Have tried to stay away for along time and doing great but even now have the occasional blip. There's a crazy stat out there which goes something like this .......90% of a bookmakers profit is generated by less than 5% of the bookmakers punters. They prey on the science of addiction.
Gambling should only be looked at as entertainment. Same as going to the movies, to dinner or a sporting event. If your budget for the night is $100, then thats it. If you go into the casino to "win" then youre setting yourself up for disappointment. I gamble $100 on each UFC event and that's my night of entertainment. If i pay off the ppv costs, im happy - if not then at least it made the fights more fun
I work at a casino and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve told people to leave after winning but 9/10 think they’re gonna win 1 million dollars, leave pissed bc they lost it all lol
It's kinda weird being around those people. My buddy wins multiple 1000s. Hey. You had a good night. Let's go. They can't. They want to lose. I didn't understand the purpose of it. Even if they win 10k, it's not enough. It's so weird.
Think about it, you have a better chance of winning a coin toss, in fact that's the safest thing to gamble on, than gambling at anything else. And people gamble anyway, it's kinda of suicidal behavior, or rather self-harming that can become suicidal, yet people do it. Some people want to feel how it's like to win, even if it costs their entire life.
Years ago I was on a road trip with a couple friends. We stopped off at one of those Native American casinos in the middle of nowhere. One of my friends sat down at a blackjack table, won around $400 within the first 5 minutes and then we promptly left.
The best strategy for gambling is stop lose-take profit plan. You should determine the stop lose ,and take profit limits . I know its hard , but you need to train yourself mentally. Because if you lose you will get out with the rest of your money . If you win you will take the profit without greed. This strategy for sure will make your life better as a gambler . DONT take loan to gambel DONT use your saving in gambeling . USE the money you can effort to lose . Consider mentally the money you put in the table is already lost .
He didn't say double what you bet a hand, he said stop when you've doubled your start. Dana started with $150k, he bet 2 hands of $75k and left with $300k (more if he had a blackjack, a split, or a doubledown).
I just lost 17.6k pesos at a bacarrat, i started small, i was using martingale strategy, but im on bad losing streaks, until I stopped because I realized, it takes 2 more to lose everything I've saved so far. It really hurts and sad.
Many years ago I lived in Vegas, and I asked a guy that I was doing some construction work for, who is the most consistent winners. He told me it was housewives... I asked why, and he said because they come in with something in mind that they want or need, like a washing machine or a dress, and when they get up enough to pay for it they get up and leave!
If you walk in you have lost because the largest odds are that you will not double your money. That’s the allure. Your mind tells you that if you stay, things will get better than whatever they are at any given moment.
@@misterhutch2053 you realize anytime you win big at a casino you’re automatically banned, I saw a guy hit a jack pot on a slot machine, over 80 k, they banned him. Dana said he bets 75k hands.
If you have $500 in your pocket, don’t go to a casino.. for about 80 bucks you can go to one of those Indoor Go Carts tracks and have 10 times more fun..
Trust me guys. He is Absolutely right. I won 5000 dollars on blackjack and I didn’t walk away.. I just won 30 dollars on the roulette, and I understand now that I need to walk away, so I did exactly that.
wouldn't surprise me at all if big casinos have management monitoring cameras to rig certain machines. I was at a vegas hotel with my parents, put a $20 into penny slots and instantly won $200 on my first pull, my dad probably felt bugged out too and we walked away, thanks for the free dinner ig
True bro. I learned it hard way. I was up $1000 and I was sober too. Lost it all and extra $500 that I took. Bad idea. They see you counting that money through cameras. I should’ve drink that night.
He does"t leave though, because he goes back tomorrow. To the cards, to the math, to the casino, it makes no difference if you play 300 hands on Monday, or 2 hands on Monday, 50 hands on Tuesday, and 248 hands on Saturday.
Best advice I can give you is set alarms on your phone/watch with 15 minute intervals to check in with your self and raise awareness of how much you're up to be able to walk away with cash in your hand. 💯
For most people who visit vegas once or twice a year they are there to have fun, drink their liquor. And no im leaving if I double my money...i came with money to have fun and be entertained. And when i go back home i may or may not have that money but i will have a bunch of fun and have a ton of good memories!
I leave because I have a limit on losses I can take on any one night. If I get up significantly and still want to play, I raise the number of losses I can incur that night but not too dramatically so I can stomach leaving on a losing streak. For example if I start at 100 I leave if I lose 35 (or whatever) if I am up 200 I can lose 65 before I stop.
You gotta know four things when gambling. 1: Know when to hold em' 2: Know when to fold em' 3: Know when to walk away 4: Know when to *run* 💀 And remember guys. You never count your money when you're sitting at the table.
guys if you loose just gamble a bit more to get even if you dont have money just get a loan and remember that 99% of gamblers quit before they win biggggggg
When i was young i gambled once with 10 bucks made like 27 thrown a few dollars away, drink and ate something because it was free and left with like 23 dollars.
Excactly , for me i never double my money , but when i win 30% to 50% of my money i get out quickly . Because i had fun and i come home with more money that enough for me . I bet 350 usd , and i win 530 . I cashed out . Yesterday i bet 100$ i got 250 i cashed out . Last week i bet 1400$ i won 1880 cashed out too . So i have a believe that the longer i play the more i lose , when the big hit comes i leave . This week i win in total 1k , i consider this a big win for me . I had fun and more money . 😊
Great advise! I'd also say don't sit in your mind a Pacific amount that you're going to walk away at. Say you only got $50 and you're going to sit there and gamble until you get at the Grand... if you have $900 and you bought in with 50 bucks walk away!
Thank goodness I learned this from uncle Dana I see so many stories on Reddit of guys winning money and thinking they’re going to win again until all of it is gone and they’re destroyed by it , thank goodness that’s never happened to me
I went a casino with 20$, won 60$, lost 20, walked out with 40$, doubled my money then left. Lost that 20$ trying to have fun at a casino with friends another time, I don't ever want to gamble again. Cause thats 20$ I could have bought a meal with, seen a movie, bought gas.
I feel the opposite as somebody who lives in Vegas grew up in Vegas. Only time you should gamble is for entertainment. When I do plan to go hit the strip I plan before I leave the house how much money em I willing to lose then I go have fun. Sometimes my fun don’t last long I’m back at home in 2 hours but once in a blue moon I get lucky and my fun last for a couple days. But only gamble what you can afford to lose period because at the end of the night more then likely your going to lose. Most gamble because of addiction they get a rush Dana is addicted he said he don’t gamble to have fun they why are you gambling you don’t need the money? Because your addicted to rush the joy I doubt he leave everytime after he double ups. He loves the rush could care less about the money. Yes I won A million now I have 501 million in bank. That’s like having $500 bucks getting happy over winning a dollar. Now it’s time to go home.
People tend to win and then want to use that profit as stake money but at the same time they don’t want that stake money to dwindle so therefore once it’s starts going down they lose everything trying to get it back, which is why you need to listen to this mans advice. Don’t be greedy
Did some gambling for the first time recently and I realized that immediately. I played some hands and was up over double, but I didn't leave because I was having a good time, and ended up losing my budget (wasn't much but still). I thought about that and was like damn you really just gotta leave when you're up even if you're only 3 games in.
When I was 22, I worked in the cannabis industry and went to many conferences around the US. I went to one very prevalent one in Vegas and after our time for the day was over all the company would want to get dressed to go out bar hopping and gambling. I’m one to have a good time so I brought about $200 to gamble the entire weekend in Vegas. Well, THREE bars later we finally end up back at the Palazzo and my friends and I drunkenly decided to gamble at the Blackjack table. 4 minutes later I lost all $200 and I haven’t been to a Casino since😂😂I’m cheap! I don’t even sports bet
My co worker was working construction in Vegas. He turned his little bankroll into almost $30,000. By the end of the month he gave it all back and more 🤮
Very true, most gamblers don't quit regardless of whatever they have won. I say profit is profit and 2moro is another day. Bet what u can afford to lose
