Dana didn't give a flying f... about jon Jones, only when ngannou left the ufc he decided alright it's time to hype up jon jones now since they don't have other huge stars, especially with connor snorting coke and adesanya getting beat multiple times

theres always a short notice bonus, im guessing bare minimum he got his show AND win money (thats why his coach said "we got nothing to lose, playing with house money), and an extra 50k as a short notice bonus, but i think its probably a bit more.

2 takeaways: - telling Chandler not to wait anymore is not great, means we probably won’t see McGregor this year. Only December is free for a main event. - saying that Pereira shouldn’t move up, obviously means that Dana is happy that he finally had a LHW that’s exciting and he’s not ready to give that up yet

Okay who actually cares about McGregor? Like he was good for awhile but the longevity he has in some fans hearts really puzzles me.

@@Whoareyouhmm Agree, beyond caring for him anymore. His 2016 schtick just doesn't work in this day and age, the sport has moved on. I think people still love him for how much of an absolute impact and aura he brought to the sport which nobody can deny but anyone who thinks he's going to make a title run and compete with that LW top 5, even top 10 infact are out of their minds and need to move on

Dana doesnt want Alex to move up to heavyweight. He blows so much smoke about how great Jones is that he doesnt want to see that gone in a flash. Alex will absolutely destroy Jones. Not a doubt in my mind. Jones is too busy dodging Aspinall to even think about it.

I agree with Dana. Jones literally killed everyone in the light heavyweight division, moved up to heavyweight and killed a top 3 guy in under a minute. Alex needs more fight to be considered the goat.

Man, that's a good take. The last impressive fight Jones had was a very long time ago. Fine, he beat Gane over a year ago. Before that, he got pieced up by Dominick Reyes in a controversial 5 rounder before COVID! Literally over 4 years ago. He hasn't been anything in a very long time.
