Yes that's my story too. My parents took us back home after independence and my childhood was magical. we were going through post independence euphoria and the new government was investing in education so we reaped the benefits of a fantastic first class education.

I'm Zimbabwean born and raised and the country (including other countries in Africa) isn't like how people would imagine it to be. It's a beautiful and advanced culturally as well as technologically. I'm glad Danai could dispel some preconceived notions in this interview.
