it's probably because of how genuine this guy is. lots of reactors intentionally act more excited and more interested than they really are and it's always visible. he's actually having fun and enjoying the small details.
I love the way they pull the switch ups. I think if they kept the same vibe going the whole time the songs would sound like any other band but because they throw in these funky change ups over time the song never loses it's originality.
Stroke God Millionaire, Young Robot, Son of Robot and Death of the Robot With Human Hair are all animated by a guy named John Howe, and they all follow the story of the Robot with Human Hair, if you want the full story. Midnight Crusade also ties in with the animated stuff too, if you want to follow that whole storyline.
This is my favorite song by them for all the reasons you mentioned in your video. The vocal layering between Jon and Tilian is phenomenal, especially at the end. When Tilian hits that "start a relionnnnnn ahhhhhnnnn ANNNNNNN" at the end I get fucking goosebumps every time.
Loving the dgd content! Would love to see you react to the Man of the Year live stream. It's a show they did for quarantine on a bridge in California! Shows just how amazing they are live!
YEZZZ, love you, bro.!! so sooo glad that you like DGD.!!! 'afterburner' is my album of the year 2020...still can't stop listen to it, they are smashing it with every song on it.!! tilian - the clean vocalist - just released his fourth solo album two weeks ago (tilian - factory reset) - you'll definitely like it, it's way different than DGD (i would call it modern pop music for adults) - i'm spinning it every day since its release. tilian's voice is pure gold and sooo unique... side note to this song and video: it's about organized religion, specifically the scientology sect - tilian's dad was a member of scientology for about 20 years. next DGD could be 'strawberry's wake' or 'prisoner' off their latest album - but you can't do wrong with any of their songs - they are all bangers.!! ps: don't forget the new spiritbox song 'circle with me' - it's fire.!!
Great first two choices from the DGD discography! DGD does switch it up during their songs quite a bit, it works really well for them too. Man of the Year would be a great selection for your next reaction, gotta second everyone else that already suggested it. Its an epic journey of a song that goes all over the place, easily one of my personal faves of DGDs career. They have 9 albums (with 3 different clean vocalists) so thats no easy feat lol. Love to see more people getting into DGD!
Oh man the whole animated part has a whole storyline to it. They even came out with their own graphic novel. If you want to check it out in order it goes: Stroke God Millionaire Young Robot Midnight Crusade (Not really part of the main) Son Of Robot Death of the Robot With Human Hair Inspire The Liars
Eagle vs Crow (if you want to hear their guitarist rap), Into the Sunset (has a phenomenal feature, as well as guitarist spitting another verse), Man of the Year (tree city video) is just straight heat, Son of a Robot
Just found your channel! I love this song, and they have soooo many other bangers as well. I'll will check out all your reactions and hopefully vibe along with many more DGD songs. It's such a thrill to see someone experiencing their songs for the first time :)
@@SeanStaxxMusic there's no need to, bro.:) Tilian's voice is so overwhelming and outstanding that faces are melting when listening. stay on track with DGD, they got so many bangers to offer.!! i highly recommend to listen to tilian's solo stuff as well... a few background infos, just fyi: - formed 2005 in Sacramento, DGD had many line-up changes in their earlier career - one could fill pages with all the different vocalist pairings and line-up changes they had, since 2014 the line-up is consistent. - there were always two vocalists in DGD, both share the vocalist spot, there's no main and second vocalist. - Tilian Pearson joined the band in late 2012. Die-hard fans from day one often like the earlier clean singers more - personally, i'm more into the Tilian era but the other ones are badass, too. - Jon Mess (the other vocalist) is one of the founding members, but he took a break from DGD 2008-2010 because he suffered from lyme-borreliosis and couldn't handle the touring routine. - The only constant members since day one are Matt Mingus (Drums) and Will Swan (big dude on guitar), he's also the main song writer. - Since 2006 DGD released 9 studio albums, 3 live albums, 1 ep & a handfull of single tracks. - Spiritbox are currently signed to the same label as DGD & Tilian, Rise Records. possible next ones.?: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Df-fm-MSMqI.html (Prisoner, from 2020's Afterburner) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oTJWY2w31cU.html (Strawberry's Wake, from 2020's Afterburner) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wUL5lnd9iXI.html (Betrayed By The Game, from 2016's Mothership) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pCvSRfk2I0s.html (Strawberry Swisher Pt. Another great breakdown of DGD! I'd love to see a reaction to "Man of the Year" live. I've seen them in person and they sound almost identical to their studio albums
Theirs (and Don Broco's aka the guy featuring on Synergy) music videos are wild. There worth listening to for that alone. Adds that their songs sound great too
They actually also have instrumental versions of all their albums, I would absolutely recommend them! And for another song to react to just as is, young robot. You aren't even ready lmao.
Loving the DGD content! Subscribed :) Hope you can check out songs from each album, they are always switching things up and its really cool. To differentiate the vocals, Tillian Pearson (pretty) is 'clean vocals' and Jon Mess (screams) is 'unclean vocals'
@@SeanStaxxMusic In the video you say that their one song sounds like several different songs and your only constructive criticism would be to stick with one kind of melody throughout the song, well DGDs whole style and why people like them is their change up in sound throughout their songs is all I was saying, keep up the DGD reactions though 😊
Most of the music I’ve reacted to has been pretty good! There’s been a few have been kind of medium for me and only a couple that o didn’t really care for. I enjoy a WIDE variety of music and genres 🤘
One more time! Please lissing Blind Chanel 's official trac by for they last album " Violent pop " .In this trac Niko is telling about they songs. Just lissing not react. It's worth of lissing.
@@SeanStaxxMusic yeah come to think of it, a bit of a mix and mash of all of them lol, But dude how good is dance gavin dance? I only recently just stumbled upon them. Been sleeping on their shit hard. You should do a reaction to tillians latest solo project. It bangs. Just search Tillian on youtube. You'll find it.
