I think Lemon Meringue really shined and Andrew really captures the old Johnny Craig sound with ease. I'm not sure how I feel about them doing certain Tillian songs anymore- it just feels too different, maybe that will change with time but conversely, Speed Demon blew the roof off that place and sounded incredible
They said Tim will never be replaced, but I think they mean in their hearts cuz Sergio is not just touring. He's recording and appearing in DGD music videos. Plus, he's VP of the record label. He can do what he wants in every swancore band anyway. 😏
@MrFib My point is Sergio Medina is VP of Blue Swan, so he can pretty much band bounce at will just like label President Will Swan does, DGD included. He doesn't have to claim himself as an official member of any band.
I think this whole show and set really highlights how capable Andrew is at doing the whole DGD catalogue of songs justice! His voice suits the Jonny Craig era tracks so well and he manages to kill it for the most part on the Tilian tunes (with maybe We Own The Night being the only track that I don’t think he fully has a grasp on how to pull yet, but I’m sure he’ll improve with time). Really want to what he does with some of the songs off of self titled and Happiness! This new era of DGD is probably the most hyped I’ve been about the band in a hot minute!!!
I wish Andrew would tackle "Perfect" and "The Robot With Human Hair pt 2 1/2". I think he handles Jonny Craig's songs even better than Tilian (who still killed it). As for songs off of Happiness, some songs are just not meant to be sung by other than Kurt Travis.
Yeah you can tell how committed he is to his craft...strategically deciding what vocal melodies were comfortably in range while making the right call to down pitch some stuff. Can't imagine too many other singers would put that much thought into performance.
Thanks for posting all these together. I was going to possibly go to the DGD tour back when they were going to play with Coheed and Cambria, and then shit went down and the that didn’t happen. I have never been able to see them live and after Tilian being out wasn’t sure if I would want to as he was my favourite of their vocalists. But hot damn, I want to go see this new line up now!
As sad as I am about no MS on this run....the sheer variety of songs, getting some older shit in there again is so fucking refreshing. Always so happy to see Andrew crushing it, as always
Seriously it says something about them as a band to still be relevant and still be good when they’ve had 4 vocalists in 20 years. Not every band could do that.

Holy shit, what a setlist! I never thought I'd see Carve played live, esp with Andrew, and although that's the one song off of Acceptance Speech I don't care for, I do love that Andrew alternated the unclean vocals with Jon on that one. Spooks was a great opener too. I see a lot of similarities appearance and music-wise between Andrew and Jonny, probably mostly the mullet, lol. He really has the potential to reprise a lot of Jonny-era songs and do them justice, whereas Tillian just didn't have the voice for. Wells definitely is like the ultimate conglomerate of all the past vocalists, and he can do screams the best too of all the clean vocalists, which is INSANE. One thing I didn't like and am confused about that, Jon seems to have changed the lyrics for the closing verse on Lemon Meringue Tie on recent live performances, as he did with NASA for the Tree City Sessions 2 version. I guess maybe Jon is trying to step away from sexually explicit lyrics?
I love DGD they're my favorite post-hardcore band, thank you for uploading this 🫶 For some reason, I don't like Andrew's singing style at 10:00 on the song "Straight from the Heart," it sounds totally off.
