The girls ruined the show by leaving Abby, even though it was really their moms. I think it will be great to have new people, because the mom's started to take Abby for granted. I think it's sad they stooped dancing after DM (not the minis or maddie) it really shows they were there for the fame

LavenousForever right thank you! also the apparent cast for season 8, they’re all phenomenal. I’ve watched all these kids dance they’re all around 10 and 11 years old. in my opinion they’re way better than Maddie was at age 10/11. these kids have all trained at amazing studios in all styles.

Well I mean, if the og’s were tired of getting yelled at, getting threatened to be kicked out, and being physically drained, how do you think the new cast will feel? They’re just thirsty for money, and so is Abby. Also, Chloe stated that the competitions are fake, and the producers stage everything. Now that we know what actually goes on, it won’t be the same good ol’ Dance Moms. But I will respect your opinion about a new cast.

True, but would you really want to put girls in that situation again? I mean idk if Abby changed but.. I’d rather go somewhere I’m happy and not dawned over by a favorite, even if that was my problem a couple months ago at my own dance.

Yes@@sisterstoystory5223 I was thinking the same as you. I used to attend Stage School where we sang and danced. We used to perform doing lots of shows. No proper ballet just tap dancing, show dancing including a lot of dramatic dance. My teacher was very strict but not as extreme as Abby. Although the Dance Mums at my school NEVER behaved badly like the Mothers of Abby's students. I think the Mums on Dance Mums are chosen for their "entertainment value". I was also a member of the church choir. The first choir master was very positive and kind always giving us praise and creating a very positive atmosphere. When he passed away we ended up with someone whose teaching methods were very similar to Abby. Choir was no longer the happy, positive, eager to please group and we went from being the best church choir in England down to average standards. I think Music, Drama and Dance teachers are frequently quite eccentric. At school I was in the "Special Choir" - around 12 girls were selected from the whole school. Our teacher was a "battle axe" - the only time she ever was happy was at our final performance. When I couldn't dance anymore I attended Speech and Drama classes. We entered all the festivals and competitions. My teacher was kind, gentle and full of a possitivity. Like the first choir master we all wanted to give our best to please our teacher. We won first place frequently and enjoyed every minute. I'm not sure whether Abby will develop more positive teaching methods. However, most of the friction and drama was caused by the Mothers. It will be interesting to see whether her recent traumatic life experiences have changed her. I'm looking forward to watching the new series. It will be interesting if she develops a different attitude to see how this affects Competition results. Kind regards from Giggling Star XXxxx

These reality TV shows are unique in the way the participants are selected being chosen specifically for the amount of drama, swearing and outrageous behaviour. I wonder how the popularity would be affected if Abby was positive and calm and the Mothers were all polite, reasonable "normal" people. I know things are not the way they were when I was young and that now there is a lot of behaviour that oldies like myself would be horrified to witness in real life. I think it does happen. A sister of mine takes her Grandson to all his events. He is a member of an ice hockey team. The things she relates to me about the behaviour of the parents sounds completely outrageous to me! If Abby's lessons were not being filmed I am sure, as a professional teacher, she would never allow parents to interfere the way they do in Dance Mums. If I were teaching children I would refuse the child after either 2 or 3 warnings. First warning verbal, second and possibly third in writing and then STRIKE! lol but I would probably be considered as "Old School". lol I would definitely support kind, positive, uplifting behaviour as students who like their Teacher are very eager to please. Children (& adults) can be completely destroyed by negativity. However strictness and control bring structure and security so are just as important. Kind regards from Giggling Star

@@GigglingStar Structure and strictness is totally fine, however when children are surrounded by adults who constantly imply they are not good enough, create a stressful environment, and actively insult them, it is not an environment in which anyone can learn. I don't care if it is "set up" specifically by tv producers, to the kids it feels like real life because that's what they see and hear every day. If you wish to believe the rumor that Abby is such a splendid person, fine, but I am not so easily fooled. I'm tired of Abby and of mother's living vicariously through their children.

I totally agree and even though they may be to old to complete I would love to watch them dance and see what they are doing post Dance Moms. As a matter of fact I would rather watch repeats of the girls dancing without Abby any day.

You are so right! I always thought this show and the producers of the show were inciting verbal and emotional abuse of children. The production team not only sat around watching it happen and filmed it, but now we find out they were behind almost all of it! How sick and twisted is that? How can a television station actually promote and film this kind of abuse? Just sick!!!!!

I’ve got to point out the fact that quite a lot of the show is edited and faked, the arguments they have are edited and different insults are said and when the kids have a meltdown sometimes they are faked by the editors

Technically she danced in an off broadway show which is different. Most of them have done good things though

Alexis Griffin it’s not going to be the same and the show probably won’t last but if I’m being honest with you these kids are way more amazing than all the og girls at age 10. this is like a group of a bunch Maddie’s in the bodies of 10 year olds.

The Doll Memories there’s clips of all these students at an audition. one of the little girls posted and deleted a photo of them with abby and she said in the caption that they were the finalists for season 8 and she said they’re gonna be on the show. but I don’t know if they’re all gonna be on it because many of these kids are super busy touring around the country because they won radix and the dance awards nationals (some of the most prestigious national dance competitions in the country)

Grace and Grace Fan elli posted on Instagram (she deleted the post like one hour later I don’t know why) that she won’t come back for season 8, probably because she’s busy doing dance conventions since she’s the 2018 mini female best dancer winner and each year the winners go to a dance convention tour with the other winners. I’m not sure about maesi or lily they haven’t posted anything about dance moms so idk.

They're not really replacements but a new, younger cast. The original and veteran girls are too old now and some are doing wonderful things. The Zieglers are successful, Nia is successful, Chloe has been busy, JoJo is successful, and Kalani is an adult now. The others are doing their thing else where. I think the show should have stayed gone for other reasons but since it keeps coming back, a new younger cast is needed.
