I heard there was a special place...
Spoilers from the Dream SMP story! And please, use headphones if you can. Also subtitles are available!
Reminding you that this is an animatic, not an actual finished animation, thank you!
I changed a lot of the character designs for this one please forgive me lol.
Any little details you might find, please comment! I'd love to hear. :D I love seeing how people interpret different scenes.
It's a little bit different from the previous animatics, I didn't take the clips from one big stream. It was really difficult haha but I hope it stays consistent in some way at least. I changed the timeline a little bit so it works better with the video.
(also I know this is not how tubbo got his scars in the canon but I had to improvise since I had already made the festival animatic 😭)

@@maelstrum13 I appreciate your concern, but it wasn't meant to be so much of a comparison per se, rather an observation of incomparably amazing, but still different styles, goals and outcomes. A good example would be Derivakat: she's an amazing artist working with a different storytelling medium, telling the same story in a vastly different style, in vastly different ways and goals, resulting in vastly different outcomes, which we couldn't even compare if we tried. TL;DR: while comparison is bad, noticing differences should be fine as long as it's in good spirit imo (also I'm really tired, so I decided to write a small essay defending my case lol) PS: I don't mean to offend anyone, and I wish you a nice week!

Oh god the pain. Seeing how they've all developed into the possible worst they could be is so terrifyingly sad yet so bittersweet at the same time. They've all gone through so much and all thier stories are all intertwined which just makes it even more painful. This was so beautifully made the way the music cuts off and the sound effects of the casino and the audio mixing is absolutely stunning. I adore this with more words then I could ever express

2:56 The symbolism of this scene though. It’s the 3 of hearts, referencing Quackity, Karl, and Sapnaps engagement and love for eachother. Him ripping the cards with the two hearts on one side (Karl and Sapnap) and the lone heart on the other (Quackity himself). Oh the small details and references is what make these animatics so good.

that was such a ...... haunting 5 minutes. I don't remember breathing during that. You gave the whole thing such a intense sense of lingering anticipation, showing the build up of each sides from conflicts old and new. It both feels like a climax where everything crumbles and yet at the same time, it's just a beginning. This was great. Also loving the new designs, everyone's quite expressive.

about the quackity card part , it seems some characters got assigned their own cards in this animatic. like will is a ace of spade, slime is a ace of clover, purpled is a 2 of spades, fundy is a 6 of hearts, foolish is a 6 of diamond, together karl sapnap and quackity are a 3 of hearts (obviously) and quackity might be a king of spades, but i'm not sure. i think i managed to get most of the correlations right , but i wonder what the cards actually mean

I saw someone share the link on tumblr saying how this would be one of those animatics that would be remembered and talked about for a long while, and I believe it now. Holy shit, this is amazing!! The selective colors you use, your character designs and interpretations (the fucking chains on Dream, the resurrection beam for foolish is so????)!!!, the audio you picked, all of the brilliant and amazingly made transitions, the way you edited the voice lines make it so much more amazing. I would love to just go over and analyze every single detail you have put and write it all down, but right now im just sitting here in awe. Every little detail from Quackity ripping a heart from the 3 of hearts to the gorgeous characters and background is just beautiful The use of quotes and music gives me a weird energy I love You're one of the most underrated animaters of the dream smp fandom in my opinion

I have no words to describe how much I love this, that was incredible, the color palette and your selection in scenes, the scenography, the dialogues, the animation, the music selection, the facial and physical expressions, and the character designs are amazing!!!! the part of ghostbur singing the L'Manburg hymn while the bombs were exploding gave me chills, I can't imagine all the time and effort you put into the project, incredible work, you need much more recognition, I wish you the best in future projects either inside or outside the fandom.

I thought this was gonna end after the first 50 seconds but it kept going and omg Its so good! the audio editing is incredible, the lighting, the use of colours, the art itself!! this is fantastic!!! not to mention the story telling is so well done

woah, this is so incredibly amazing. the music is so fitting, your artstyle is so simple yet so detailed and beautiful, the lines that you chose fit perfectly into the scene, and the beginning with ghostbur nearly made me cry :,) really hoping the cc's will notice this, this type of stuff is the reason i'm so deeply in love with this fandom

Literal chills. The timing of the clips, of the music, of the scenes. The way the places were drawn, made for it to work as if it had always looked like this (for exemple the bridge leading to Dream). The smooth transition between multiples arcs: it's amazing, and I can't tell how many times I've watched this, great job, definitely one of my favorite animatics ! You deserve way more views, likes and feedback ! Edit: also! I absolutely love the idea of Ghostbur completely panicking and the train already on it's way to pick him up (that's what I understood from the animation). As if it was all already written and destined to happen, as if Ghostbur's fate was inevitable the moment he stepped into the prison.

The detail on this is absolutely astonishing. That intro is absolutely amazing. I felt sentimental and sad while listening to Ghostbur sing and seeing the story of how lmanburg fell, then the sudden clap of thunder broke my focus giving an even stronger effect. The audio mixing as well as the art is also fluid and smooth, you did so well :DD

and you did this... for what? FOR WHAT? WHY IS THIS SO GOOD WHAT THE HELL. How have I not seen this before until now? What on EARTH. The pacing, the art, the music, the emotions, the expressions? The coloring and dynamic lighting and the smidges of color and stuff that make this so alive, HELLO??? THIS IS AMAZING!!
