"From the Ballet “The Three Cornered Hat”, this work is a Farruca inspired in Andalusian Folk Music and Flamenco Cante Jondo and composed in 1916-17 from a commission by Sergei Diaghilev. The music is passionate, full of lush Spanish harmonies and rhythms. This work has been arranged before for classical guitar, but I always found it to be lacking in the arrangement. I completed this arrangement in the Fall of 2019 and did my best to keep all the most important elements from the orchestra score that speaks well in the guitar. A difficult arrangement but well worth the effort." - Rene Izquierdo
