I like the way he’s tough, but still caring- Like him teaching them that their rehearsal, auditions, and performances are all equal when it comes to how much effort they should put into them and how their position could easily be taken up if the energy isn’t there while still letting them know that it’s okay to not get a part, “it wasn’t meant to be”, that’s important to try your best but not to be hard on yourself if you don’t get a spot, there’s more out there for you as long as you try your best each and every moment

This has to be my favorite episode cause it’s so packed with insight. Just by watching this video at home, I learned a lot about the industry. Guy gives such valuable bits of wisdom which are essential to growing students, and not just once, but all the time. His teaching mostly aims for the frame of mind, and I really like that. His consistency, methods of teaching and attitudes make him one of the best… no wonder he’s creating stars :)). Can’t wait for part 2!! Let’s go, dancers!! ❤❤

Star is such an epic talented dancer.

I knew this industry was toxic but we really need to do better as a society and have laws and/or professionals keeping the spaces kid friendly. Even though they are "professionals" or trying to be, they are also kids. Rehearsals shouldn't be auditions, kids should be allowed to not be serious every time, kids shouldn't be expected to teach at a class where they were meant to learn, etc etc etc. Yes the industry, but yes they are kids. Calm down, they seem great at dancing and serious enough, it doesn't have to be this whole thing. Guy seemed to want that part for Alex more than Alex did! And that's ok! you can ask him to do it, or just give it to the other kid who seemed to be doing it great and maybe better. Gosh, the plots.
