Dancer Breaks Down NewJeans ‘Super Shy’ (Dancers React) 

one thing i will never shut up about is the inclusion of dance history education in your reactions. steezy is truly a gem for the dance community. it's easy to just overlook what the moves and genres actually are and just call it choreo, but honoring the history and the origins makes all the difference for those who want to learn how to do it properly! i always learn something new from your videos 🫶

sat down with a nice cup of coffee to watch the new steezy video and got jumpscared by my own face

Something I really liked that you pointed out was the idea of the ideal flash mob. I completely agree. If I could dance, (which I can't if you don't count dancing in your room) I would love to be a part of one.

Funny that you mention how it is an ideal flashmob dance: it is actually the exact concept of Super Shy's music video.

Appreciate that you took the time to double check with folks from the ballroom community about the voguing inspiration! And for including a quick background on waacking. Great video as always!

Just wanted to say the increased production on the videos is amazing. I stumbled upon an earlier vid and it was against plain lit background with the voices echoing from the room, and then coming to this, the glow up is real.

I suck at dancing but i'm a long time enjoyer... and i had the same remarks on the chroreo: the marching band simplicity of choreo and the hypnotizing quality of a well done formation, the chorus being super catchy (hi tiktok!), the allllllmost vogue, the blasting waacking all of the sudden, etc. I love their transitions between formations 3:19, they have such tight windows boxed and synced with arms movements it's crazy! They did a similar thing in OMG when the back line switch with the front formation while doing the "crab walk"

Ooh, I am enjoying the routine too! Its fun and DEFINITELY more fun doing it with friends. At the same waacking style kinda dance, Jeon Somi’s Fast Forward is one of them goat. It has fun routine, feeling in-the-line kinda moves, and she got so much fun with the backdancers. Arent we all feel good seeing a performance when we can feel the performers also having fun doing it too? Just loved them both ❤

I would love to watch an episode with Sienna Lalau reacting and explaining how she choreographed for BTS, XG... I also think with Seventeen you just saw the tip of the iceberg: there are many chores of them that are worth to watch! I think you'd love Don't wanna cry, Left&Right and Clap :)

Saw that you guys did a break down of Travis Japan's 'Candy Kiss' and thought it'd be nice to see more break downs of j-pop dances BE:FIRST's 'Mainstream' dance practice is definitely one to look into. The choreographers are one of the group's members named SOTA and another well-known choreographer / dancer named ReiNa. They've both been highly involved in the dance scene so I'm really curious as to how their background has contributed to the choreography SOTA and ReiNa also recently released a choreography breakdown of the dance on BE:FIRST's channel but it doesn't have English subtitles as of October 9. If and when they do add subs, maybe check that out too (?) (Or maybe watch it for reference when reacting to the dance practice for 'Mainstream'?) Really enjoying this series. Thanks for another awesome video :) UPDATE: The choreography breakdown SOTA & ReiNa did now have subtitles as of November 8 if you guys would like to take some insight from it for the potential breakdown of 'Mainstream.'

I'd recommend for a breakdown video the 'Artist of the month' performances by either Hunjin from Stray Kids of Wooyoung from Ateez, they are really mesmerising going into a lot of detail into each of the idols dance style. But overall I'd love to see a breakdown of Ateez San's dance to Imagine Dragons 'Warriors'. It is awesome to know that it was choreographed by BBtrippin and TARZAN as well as HIMSELF. It is breathtaking to watch and I'd love to see a breakdown!
