During nct2018, there's only 18 members. Then in 2019, another 3 members were added in wayv. So currently total 21 members. Hope that all 21 members participate in nct2020

the song was made purely for performance purposes so an actual mv wouldn't have made any sense. black on black is really just showing off the members and showing the world who nct is. i really hope we'll get a black on black 2.0 with nct 2020

Can I just say as a fellow professional dancer I have seen sooo many RU-vidrs also claiming to be dancers and when they are analyzing they watch videos other than the dance practice, performance mv or a music show performance. When they start talking about technique and give corrections, they don't even say the correct terms like 'spin' is meant to be pirouette... this hurts my soul lol. When I hear things like this I instantly doubt their credibility and experience.

NCT-2018 was a special project created by SM Entertainment in 2018 because, at the time, there were 18 members in NCT and SM thought it was a cool contrast that the number of members reflects the year. (Kun -- the leader of WayV -- debuted as a member of NCT-2018 and he was the one that was added to the group to make them equal 18 members.) So they created this performance for "Black on Black" to highlight NCT. If they were going to do it again exactly like this they would probably wait until 2021 because the group now has 21 members. (WayV didn't debut until after this, at the beginning of 2019, so the 3 new members who are part of WayV had not debuted yet at this point.) However, that would mean that no new members would be added to the group, and that probably won't happen. LOL So who knows when the number of members will mirror the year again. :D

actually the way camera move more fluidly in the performance vid is so we can see all of them, bcs in the dance practice sometimes we can't see all of them. but ofc you can see more details at the dance practice:)

The camera man was show the perfect angle for every single movement of choreography 👍🏻, NCT dance choreography is just so satisfied

The robo-arm camera really makes it feel more hectic and energetic in a good way. In some shots it almost gives a 3D effect when it moves around people on the bounce.
