One of my favorite dance practices because it’s them being laid back and shows some of their personality. The members have always been the same since they debuted in 2013. They each play a role in their group dynamic and support each other. As you can tell, they just enjoy doing music and performing together.
To summarise, 1) The loser to the rock-paper-scissors had to do the short solo dance break just before the song ended (Suga lost, he was in all black with white cap) 2) They are all BTS members. 3) A lot of chicken/bird like movement especially with their legs is bcoz the song is about CrowTits (baepsae in korean). It is a satirical song... In Korean, saying a person is a baepsae (with tiny legs) trying to be a stork (with graceful long legs), means he is trying too hard to be something not in his league/capabilities. (Thus probably will not come to a good ending)
People watch the mirrored dance version because they want to learn the dance (since the direction is reversed if you're watching the regular version it's like you're actually facing them, and would have to move to the left if they move to the right etc, whereas in the mirrored version you dance in the same direction which makes it less confusing).
During Baepsae live J-Hope usually does a dance break, so for this practice they decided to mix it up and choose someone else to do the dance break. In the first round J-Hope laughed and said this will be interesting because dance line was out (this is before V was added to the dance line). The bird moves goes to the meaning of "Baepsae". Baepsae means crow-tit which is a bird. This song is about the struggles of youth (baepsae) and trying to be successful while the older generation (storks) says you're lazy when the economy doesn't favor your job growth. So that's why there were so many bird movements in the song.

Jimin and J-Hope are Main Dancers, Jungkook is Lead Dancer. that's how it has been from the debut. despite what the fandom tells you, Tae's official position regarding to dance has NOT changed. he does not have a dance position, korean media gets the positions from BigHit and they haven't called him as Lead Dancer or anything like that even once. You should watch a live version of this! It's awesome because you get to see the Main dancer (the one who's especially good with hip hop) Freestyle at the end. Where the guy in all black was twerking at is usually where J-hope does a freestyle. I once watched a compilation of his freestyles in that song and he never holds back

In this dance practice you will notice they’re having abit of fun being goofy but still swagging out dancing! The meaning behind the song is Baepsae[SilverSpoon] means Crow Tit (its old korean elderly saying that’s translates “If a crow tit tried walking, like a stork it will break it’s legs”). Basically a way of oppressing the young generation by calling them crow tits and the elderly storks, the young people shouldn’t overestimate themselves. It’s what the asian elderly use to hold younger generation from following their big dreams and making them have “normal” jobs. BTS often called themselves Crow Tits because even with their success they don’t see themselves as storks and they want us younger people to know that we’re not alone b/c they to were told not to follow their dreams!

It's because the mirrored version has English subs if you turn CC on. The song is really fun but the lyrics and message criticize an aspect of Korean society, and even international fans can relate in some ways.
BTS is such a hard-working bunch of guys! There are several other DANCE PRACTICE videos where they are wearing the exact same clothes as this one, so it’s obvious they were all filmed the same day. So there’s 1). BAEPSAE, then 2). JUNGKOOK & JIMIN rehearsing the COMING OF AGE dance, next the same two guys worked on their 3). OWN IT (BRIAN PUSPOS Dance Cover), then they did the 4). I LIKE IT PART 2 DANCE PRACTICE (this is in Japanese, so you’d need to alter the pitch or chop the video slightly to avoid copyright issues - but I LOVE this dance practice so it’s definitely worth watching!), and there’s even the clip of 5). JHOPE and SUGA being silly with their little duet, shown in the WHO IS BTS? introductory video, that several commenters have recommended that you watch. I agree, the “WHO IS BTS? P.s. the guy in the overalls is RM he is considered the worst dancer in the group but he put in work and looks just as natural (to my inexperienced eye at least) in other dance practice. Jungkooks white shirt , jeans and tims are iconic in our fandom , he used to practically only wear that lol RM and his overalls tims and glasses with his hat are iconic as well. For your question, why the mirror dance has more views than the actual dance practice? Because, it has a very good English subtitles, and that makes Baepsae, this legendary song which criticize the society in a humorous way, understood by English speaking audience. I suggest you watch it because you will love this song even without the dance practice.
The meaning of them playing rock paper scissors at the beginning is to choose one person that's gonna have to twerk at the end and since suga lost the game at the beginning he had to twerk at the end of the dance practice
Good observation, the song is titled crow tit, its a korean bird and the song was based on the idiom about this bird, also why they incorporated the chicken moves in the choreo. Another thing the mirrored version of this song got english sub of the song hence its more popular than the original dance practice video.
As you've noticed before, like in the GoGo dance practice, they play rock, paper, scissors to determine who receives a punishment. In the case of GoGo, V lost and wore the snow white costume, and in this case, Suga lost and had to do J-Hope's solo dance at the end, that's why at the end you see him twerk and do funny stuff.
Some of the moves and I think they're intentional are very connected to two of the words. Those two words are two types of bird and represent two different generations of Koreans.
The mirrored dance has now views for two main reason: - it has captions -people really enjoy this dance, so the mirrored one is the one they can use to learn And the reason Suga (the guy in black) lost is the funny dance he did at the end, so the loser had to do that dance, and he lost

BTS always do a hard core dance choreography song and one just fun and cool relax choreography! This is one of their chills and cool choreo but this song is a very good political songs! I appreciate your take from the dancer's perspective and appreciation for their energy and talent. At this point, it seems as though you've seen enough of them to maybe look in to who they are so you can at least know their names and be able to understand that their songs usually have meaning (this one, the story of the Crow Tit (small bird) and Stork and correlation of societal segregation of "classes" and how the "lesser" people are told they will never be able to make strides like the storks ("higher class people") - thus the long-leg swing out like the stork and the little flutter like the Crow Tit).... each song and video has it's own story and imagery..... So maybe you'll google the song just to get the background before reacting.... I dunno,..... it is your channel, your choices it's all good.... I just feel like you are so on target some times with the interpretation of the song/dance and then other times are so far off in left field it is a bit painful.... and hearing "whoever that guy is, I like..." makes it a little more painful.... "Overalls guy" is RM (stage name), Kim Namjoon (real name - Kim being the surname and Namjoon being what western cultures would call his "first" name).... He is the leader of the group, rapper, producer, and first member of the group. Actually, a baepsae (the crow-tit) has short legs, and the hwangsae (a stork) has long legs. The song is comparing the older generation of people (the hwangsae) who have an easy time with life as they stride around with long legs, to the newer generation (the baepsae) who are struggling along on their short legs while being criticized by the hwangsae. It is a very interesting commentary on Korean society and social issues such as the lack of opportunities for the younger generation while the older generation can't understand that things have changed from when they were young. 💜
