Fun fact. It's not just from military training he has those abs. It's also because his hyung Minho whenever they goto the gym together these days he works Taemin out hard enough that Taemin complains about it. Also the mv for this is awesr. Check it out of I haven't done

Taemin has talked about the literature that inspired this concept: Erotism: Death and Sensuality by Georges Bataille and Demian by Hermann Hesse. Love that Taemin decided to do things his own way with his own colors. I don't see anyone else doing this concept, or even the way in which he does it. Just stunning! Great reaction,

I would recommend watching the MV, it is very expressive, the grandeur, angst, and sensuality are much more apparent, also there are other dancers providing more context to the song topics.

Great to hear your thoughts, and always interesting to get a dancer's perspective. I'm a big Taemin fam but have no vocabulary to describe what he's doing or why it's so cool. Keep the cool content coming 😊

I find it really interesting to listen to you break it down, I am so happy taemin is back with us after two and a half years. It feels like forever. I just want to say that while i know you didn't mean anything, the military was actually very bad for him and he had to be moved to civil service due to how dangerously out of control his anxiety and depression were. The abs and muscles he has now are all his own hard work *after* he got out and lost the weight he gained during his service when his mental health was suffering.

@@gracegrimms1627 I hope so too! He seems to be, at least during SHINee's promotion, when they were filming the video he kept having to reshoot because he was smiling too much. And great video!

Brava !! From all the "dancer/former dancer reactions" that I have watched over the years, YOU are the 1st to mention the weight/groundedness (if that's even a word) of dancer(s) performing a choreo. As a "ballet dad" I had the pleasure of watching my daughter learn ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, and modern from the age of 5-yrs old until her en pointe ballet instruction ended as a junior in high school due to a ballet injury. Nevertheless, she was able to continue to perform Hip-Hop with her collegiate teams, even choreographed performances. [A side note [a bit of bragging]: At the age of 12, my daughter had the opportunity to participate in a 2-week summer intensive that was taught by the then head of the Bolshoi Ballet and her instructors, who flew in from Moscow. My daughter was selected at the end of that intensive to perform with the senior high school girls' performance piece] The funny thing is my daughter doesn't like to watch K-Pop choreo performances precisely because she says they lack grounding. So, for 7 yrs now, I really didn't understand what she meant by that specific criticism. Then, suddenly you came along and NOW I get it. Thank you, thank you, thank you... somehow that brings me closer to being able to see choreo through my daughter's eyes. Nevertheless, grounded or not, I love a lot of K-Pop performance choreos. Now, if I may return the favor to you a little... perhaps, you should consider watching the M/V and the dance performance together during your reactions. The main reason for this suggestion is that when reviewing a choreo, don't you have to consider the "stage" and "circumstances" for which the choreo is intended to be mounted? Most K-Pop choreo is created with a view towards being a part of the storytelling in a M/V and/or singing performance. As such, the choreographers have to provide a "vehicle" that permits singing, and the unfolding of the essence of the story being told by the lyrics. Hence while there will be some movement, the majority of the movement will be provided by the M/V camera directior/MV producer via angles chosen and editing. So, for example, Taemin gave a lengthy interview about "Guilty" here: www.nme.com/features/music-interviews/taemin-guilty-shinee-interview-3530007 -- give that a read, and then watch M/V for Guilty, if you haven't already. Pay particular attention to the hand and arm movements in the M/V, and the Studio Choom performance. Did you notice the performer's words being stretched out into lies via the hand and arm movements? Did you notice that specific lyrics-to-choreo translation from only the Studio Choom performance "cold review", as in not having seen or read anything prior to the review? While I understand why reactors give a "cold, 1st watch" review and reaction, doing so often leaves out something to be desired. Now, I know you have a full life outside of this reaction hobby, but you might want to append a postmortem where you include knowledge gained after the initial cold first watch, at the end of the reaction video, if you have the time. Regardless of whether you implement my suggestions, I think your reactions are among the most informative, and worthy of exponentially more views. Thanks again. May the blessings be.

Kpop choreo is the most interesting if I’m being honest. The attire they wear makes it even more appealing. That is something that distinguishes kpop dancing from other dancing out there.

Once of the best comment I've ever heard about a choreography from the artist to his back up dancers.

Thank you so much for your insights. Always a good learning experience. I hope you'll check out his performance of The Rizzness on Music Bank. In addition to the broadcast version, they also have a full choreo version with fixed camera.

He does look excellent after he came back from the military but the comment does just slightly ring the uncomfortable alarm for me bc I follow his news pretty closely. He suffered during his service mentally because peers had stalked him and harassed him in the showers (take hidden cams of him without clothes to sell).
