GFRIEND DAY!!! These songs really hit harder now, and I loved all of them. Sorry about the sound, but it was very hot the day I filmed and my fan needed to be on. Gfriend reactions will keep coming

In my opinion, GFRIEND has one of the best Japanese discographies in the whole KPOP industry. (so does Dreamcatcher)

Memoria is actually about Gfriend struggle as idols. 1. Sowon's holding paper crane because in that year (2018), her father passed away 2. Yerin had leg injury that's why her knees has glitters 3. Eunha has different color of eyes because in TFTMN promotion, she had eye infection so she had to wear eyepatch all the time. It happened again in Mago promotion. 4. Yuju had arm injury from the fall 5. Sinb always complain about the pain in her shoulders because excessive practice 6. Umji reaching for the moon because it is beautiful and she wants to be beautiful. Umji was always called fat and ugly Memoria MV is my favorite among Gfriend MVs because it's about Gfriend's friendship and them being each other's source of support.

The story behind Memoria is actually really sad yet shows how powerful Gfriend is. It is something significant reflection of each member during their journey in this hard industry. - Sowon with the paper crane referring to her loved ones who left her like her father who passed away in 2018 - Yerin with the glitter on the knees is when she hurt her knee during Navillera’s era (there’s a video about it when she was performing on the stage) - Eunha with the glitter on her eyes is referring to her eye problems that happen occasionally. - Yuju with the tattoo on her right arm referring to when she broke her right arm (which happened several times bcz of her being always hard on herself) - SinB with wings that represents her dislocated shoulder also in Navilera’s era when she was on the stage (there is a video that shows it. Btw they won a trophy that night and all the members started crying and hugging her) - Umji with the moon that represents the beauty in the Japanese culture referring to when people started calling her with atrocious words and shaming her body and face (fuck people) during her rookie period. (There’s a video during Rough era that shows her trying to cover her face with her hair while performing bcz of netizens’ comments) “Mina DeLight 93” ‘s comment on Memoria’s MV on youtube

Great to see you make your way to Gfriend's Japanese releases. And they are fantastic. Can't help but join you in my adoration and admiration of Gfriend's work here. Gfriend's styling for their Japanese songs is really distinct and striking. The girls looked absolutely fabulous in each one. Love how you keep mentioning melody when watching Gfriend's songs here. I personally feel that emotionally charged melodic expressions are the staple of a Gfriend song. That is why it always hits different from other groups. I also feel the sense of grace and purpose is what marks a Gfriend's choreo, whether during their early more power-centered songs, or the later comebacks that focused more on conflicted emotions. "Memoria" is my favorite Gfriend MV because I feel it represents the notion of sisterhood so beautifully as we know Gfriend as a group. It's usually to recognize that the MV primarily consists of two states: one dream state and another in reality. Excluding their dance sequences, you can tell one from another from the outfit the members wear. You can see that all the members fell asleep in one manner or another early in the MV. In their dream state, each expressed something they long for: 1. Eunha - different colored eyes 2. Yuju - constellation 3. Yerin - magical glitter 4. Sowon - paper crane 5. SinB - wings 6. Umji - moon You get to see how each member helped another with their wish/need in their dream: 1. Yerin placed a flower on Eunha's eye. 2. Umji drew the constellation on Yuju's arm. 3. Yuju blew magical glitters onto Yerin's knees. 4. SinB comforted Sowon with a paper crane. 5. Eunha spread feathers for SinB's wings. 6. Sowon embraced Umji as she held on to the moon-shaped pillow. The connection was re-constructed in flashback as each member remembered the help she received in the dream and ran to the rooftop for their reunion. The concept of mutual dependency and support is so fitting for what Gfriend stands for. The final smiles on their faces beautifully underscore the theme of this MV for me. Many consider "Fallin' Light" Gfriend's best Japanese song and for good reason to think so. It offers soothing melody yet with an emotional punch. Eunha and Umji's delicate notes really stood out for me in this song, notwithstanding the great vocal from everyone. I have yet come to get a grip of the message of the song. The Japanese title for "Fallin' Light" means "Angel's Ladder" literally, which connects Heavens with Earth. I speculate that the song is about making a connection with the one you long for. This is also a recurring theme in Gfriend's music. I was pleasantly surprised when I first saw "Flower". The Latin beat with the Flamengo theme choreo brings a lively spirit to Gfriend's collection I can enjoy time and again. Great to see you again.

GFRIEND was and still is my ultimate favorite Kpop group and Eunha is my ultimate bias, so I'm still not over that Gfriend is no more, so I miss them so so much every single day. Even, thought follow them on Instagram and still listen their songs a lot, I just want them back as Gfriend. But, if they are happy now, I will accept that and try to move on too and still support them in anything that they do.

Not gonna lie, i did tear up. I've been Buddy since early 2016 with Rough, and if someone from the future told me that Gfriend won't survive the 7 Year Curse, i'd laugh my ass off...out of all groups, Gfriend was THAT group whom i was 100% sure they'd continue. In a spam of 3 months i've lost two groups from my Ultimate Tier! You know how hard was/is it for me ?

In Japanese folklore a crane takes the soul of a departed loved one to heaven and Sowon’s paper crane symbolises that and empathises with her own personal loss of her father the previous year. This must have been a very emotional video for them to make with it harking back to their worst personal moments but notice how in every case another member is there supporting them and helping them heal.
