Listen carefully to the beat drop (chorus part) once again. The lyrics that's not clear because of the beats are: "Common side effects may include nervousness, insomnia, nausea, agitation, anxiety, sweating, vision problems, psychosis, numbness, dizziness, headaches, weight loss." That statement clearly speaks about what the song is conveying. Side effects of a medicine (example, anti-depressant pills, etcetera) that's usually prescribed to people with mental illness like depression, anxiety, and such. You can also see it in their choreography, which is really chaotic and has a lot of hand movements that symbolizes what's going on in one's head whenever anxiety or other mental illness attacks him/her. The back-up dancers represents each member's shadows. (Credits to other stays' theories that I included here) This is why Side Effects is a piece of art, not just an ordinary EDM. It's a masterpiece with great artistic expression that proves Stray Kids' uniqueness and amazing talent. It is once again, produced by 3RACHA. More love to your channel! ❤️

This was actually one of the songs that got me back into kpop after years of not listening. I dont even remember how I stumbled upon it but it felt like something so different and more like art that what I had listened to before as a kpop fan. I'm always happy when somebody appreciates it as well.

the two moons actually represent different choices !! where u said there were two versions of skz ure right. they show one skz taking the easy comfy way of the bus (which im pretty sure is like evil government stuff in their story), or the way they chose, going on their own, which had its own obstacles (side effects). the themes kinda based off the poem "road not taken" by robert frost in which they choose the uncommon road

Ahh Side Effects! The song - and pretty much every Stray Kids song - was produced by 3RACHA, which consists of Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han. You got all the members right too! If you’re looking for a guide, I’d suggest “an introduction to: stray kids (2020 edition)” by hyunjin nation. Also, you’re right about the logo color change. Side Effects is off of Clé 2: Yellow Wood hence the yellow. It changes from comeback to comeback. Love the reaction and looking forward to seeing more Stray Kids in the future!

Finnally a side effects reaction!! Welcome to the first Psytrance song in kpop. This was probably the most controversial song from skz as it was very badly received when it was first released. And well the genre itself is a bit controversial to begin with... And it was very new to kpop so people started joining the bandwagon of hating this song without knowing its true meaning and actually listening to it. Now after skz used this genre, other groups have also started using this, which is a good thing as kpop is becoming more diverse in genres :) ... but for me personally, side effect is the best out there as the genre itself is said to have effects on the brain to calm down the nerves, and hence we got the side effects of listening to psytrance songs like calmness and bringing down stress. and skz song is called side effects and it talks about the side effects for not taking the easy path. It just makes this song even more special ☺️ I'm glad you reacted to this.. thank you💞💞 can't wait to see more skz stuffs in your channel 🙂 oh and a new subscriber here🙋🏻‍♀️😂

Someone also pointed that the delay effect throughout the choreography is trying to convey the "side effects" itself. Like, every move the one in the center is doing affects the other members like a side effect, and I think that's pretty accurate and smart. This whole era still gives me chills honedtly, everything is so good, the song, the dance, the acting, the message, everything.

I Thing this song is about the side effects of becoming a adult, having worries, stress, anxiety, realising that you have more responsibilities and that is not easy. It's just my theory and also I'm sorry for my English it's not my first language I'm learning

you're right! they do color things, this song is from a series of mini albums called cle, and this one is from yellow wood, which is yellow. they also have a blue and a red one.

if you want to check out a guide I recommend ''SKZFLIX: This Is Stray Kids (2021 Introduction)'' by skzvintage and/or ''an introduction to: stray kids (2020 edition)'' by hyunjin nation. Both of them are pretty good but one co-supplements the other, the one from 2020 has more personal information from each member and the one from 2021 counts more about them as a group in addition to some personal information and is more '' updated '' (it's not as if it has passed so much time like that, but still). I'm glad you liked the boys enough to want to learn more about them. edit: the screams are from I.N (maknae) and Chan (leader)

YESS Side Effects is one of my favs, and the choreo in the bridge makes me speechless, like, every time and tbh the guide by Hyunjin Nation is quite outdated, there's one by Skzvintage from last week and one from 明浩sungiie that is a few months older than the one from Hyunjin Nation =)

Skzvintage's 2021 skz guide video is ACTUALLY better than hyunjin nation's 2020 skz guide video. The first one I mentioned has much more clips of their vocals and performances and also has a really fun editing. You will enjoy the first one better. I hope you check that out :))

a lot of fans are omitting that 3racha often work with other producers, especially for title tracks. 1take and tak are also listed as producers and arrangers for this track, who also worked on NCT 127's Superhuman

Watching some guides might be good! A couple good ones are skz vintage 2021 guide (it’s 3 parts and it’s pretty long but gives good info on the music side) or hyunjin nations 2020 guide (pretty long and goes more into the boys) both of them are pretty long but they both have some really good info in them

Thank you for more Stray Kids reactions! You're right, no proper dance practice for this one. If you're looking for SKZ dance practices you'll see a lot of different 'version' ones - they're usually them more having fun, or doing a dress-up version for fans or something like that. They're some of my faves to watch, but probably not the best if you're trying to do a proper dancer reacts :)
