Dancer Reviews Red Velvet's Seulgi & Irene- Naughty 

I was hoping more dancers would react to this! This choreography really fits Irene. We all know Seulgi is the main dancer and always does so well with everything they’re given (duh she’s the main dancer for a reason lbr) but Irene...she did so amazing. It probably also helps that she’s super flexible, so she can really hit those harder, more complex moves.

I think Irene really fits to dance kinda like vogue style. Her shape are more straight.. And Seulgi we all know that she is incredible dancer, especially in instagram video that she upload, dancing to Cardi b songs, with hip hop style. And will be nice if you reacted to it too

EXACTLY! I'M GLAD FINALLY A REAL DANCER REACTED TO THIS AND ABSOLUTELY UNDERSTANDS HOW HELLA HARD IT IS TO DO TUTTING! Imagine when you're singing too, you have to focus on a lot of things not only your body but also how they hit and maintain notes!!!!! Coordination. It's a lot of mental work tbh. The angles and shapes are just insane 😩 It took them 1 month to learn the basics at least 10 individual lessons and then they started to learn the choreography after. It took 2 months to make the choreography and spent 4-5 months for the preparation before its release according to their choreographer Spella and Shim Jaewon (who is also the choreographer of the iconic pre debut Be Natural performance of the duo, you should definitely check it out.)

The one filmed this is also one of the choreographers, Shim Jaewon. He's been their mentor for more than 10 years now

This has been the best Naughty review i've watched. Thank you for all those details and for emphasizing how hard it was. Not to be dramatic but i actually teared up a little bit just imagining and kind of knowing how much effort, hardwork, and talent they put into this. Plus the fact that they prepared for and promoted Monster too. Insaaane. T.T

They actually spent a whole month just to get the basics of tutting down !! And if I'm not mistaken I think it took taken around 4-5 months preparing for naughty (alongside monster as well, which is insane) Hands down hardest girl group choreo this year (maybe even in kpop history?) !

the filming director was Shin Jae Won, he was dance director too and often arrange the dance performance for SM concert

Seulgi is life, but you got to agree that Irene is killing this.

The PoV shoot was filmed by one of their choreographer, Spella. She did the tutting while biting the camera. And thank you for your analysis!

Here's a tip for trying to find the exact frame in a youtube video. if you use the comma and period keys you can go back and forward by 1 frame at a time.

Seulgi is not very good at this dance because of the crooked arms. And you know there is a funny thing, Seulgi is the main dancer in Red Velvet but she is also the least flexible member in the RV 😅
