Dancers React to 정국 (Jung Kook), Usher ‘Standing Next to You Usher Remix’ Official Performance Video 

The light is like that because Jungkook's album is called "Golden" and this song is the title track. So the lighting around him for especially this song tends to lean more to the golden tones. The word golden has followed JK for most of his career with BTS. He's the golden maknae (golden youngest) of BTS.

They literally had one day to film this...JK flew from Japan to Korea then the next day he left for LA and had one day to shoot because he was getting ready to leave for the military...just an fyi!! 💜

I appreciate this so much from a dancers perspective. I haven’t seen dancing like this in over a decade! The footwork is prestine. I love the “glow” effect if you will in this video. I feel it showcases the smooth choreography and brings focus to it more. almost celestial. The bass and drums my goodness!! And Usher.. when it’s his turn to dance and he does that side shuffle into the group- oh man that was smooth! And then I love how the camera angle slows down “standing next to you”. And just show all the men just enjoying the funky groove. Thank you for expressing differences between music video and performance video. I hope to see this at Super Bowl even if it’s a snippet.

Iiiiiii I was almost in tears watching this since I was 4 years old and now I am 31 so he has been always a part of my life and now my bias reacker together with him he's such a special moment of how talented he truly truly is I love how kind he was to JK and respectful you know Usher is very particular about singers very militant I'm glad this collaboration they work so hard for it the both of them.

I appreciate this reaction so much. I didn't grow up with Usher but I knew of him vaguely as a legend, and I knew he was one of Jungkook's idols, so them dancing together is like seeing these two generations come together. It was so cool of Usher to acknowledge JK and agree to this collab. As a fan of Jungkook I can say he's an incredible dancer, he did an amazing job with this choreography, but seeing Usher, who has decades of experience under his belt, bringing that extra edge of comfort and fluidity that comes with being a veteran performer... not only was it a joy to watch, but it reminded me that Jungkook and BTS have even more to come in the future. They might already be on top of the world, but even they have more growth to come, and areas where they can push even further, and that's exciting! As they said in their last music video before enlisting for military service "the best is yet to come" and I can't wait to see it!

What JK is wearing, and his facial expressions, change the feel of the song imo. I am always fascinated by dancers' facial expressions while performing, and JK is fantastic at portraying emotion through that aspect. It's great to hear y'all discuss that aspect of performance!

Ofcourse the lighting is a very crucial part but I think because it was more of dancing and it's got insane choreography it was better shot in the day & the warm golden lights are fake cause it's a part of JK's Solo Album called GOLDEN. So the dance break & the lighting gave it an even more iconic moment with Usher doing it with JK. This performance Video is so epic & so grateful they chose Usher with JK. If we don't have MJ with us, Usher made up for that. Speechless 💛💫🔥

You can tell that he is a seasoned performer, entertainer, dancer and singer ( all while making it appear so effortless). Yes, he does play very well to the camera and he KILLED this performance.
