Keep in mind that you can't judge these dances as you would a regular dance crew routine. There's going to be repeating moves and often not going full out because these routines are not just for the music videos but to be performed in their concerts while singing. The sets are over 20 songs long so it's about pacing and vocals. If you want to see hard-hitting dancing search for the BTS dance break and intros compilation. You'll see harder choreography
Glad you commented this lol It's always a slight pet peeve for me when dancers react like 'why are they repeating this part' it's a chorus And 'oh he's just over there... Usually with a seperation they do a trick' um ye if it's a dance crew he's currently supposed to be singing his heart out Not necessarily these specific reactors but u get what I mean 😅
It's their everyday clothes they are wearing. But you have to remember they actually sing live. They can't go to crazy when they have to keep stable voices. They do have dance breaks that are just for the dancing alone, but at the end they are going back into formation to sing again. This isn't a regular World of dance crew, they are vocalist having to sing and rap.
That's true, I was looking for a comment like this. Although they do "dress up" for the Dance Practice video sometimes, they could have coordinated the outfits too, like the FIRE one, or just coincidentally be all in B&W (it's a very normal coincidence for dancers honestly 🤣)
I think you might appreciate the choreo to Dionysus. It's a rock song, lots of formation, use of props, and a very physical dance. Their intro to Idol at the MMA in 2018 was also amazing. It had traditional Korean music and instruments but the dances was modern. J-Hope doing some pop and lock to Asian drumbeats and Jimin's fan dance is seared in my mind.
Dress Rehearsal: Yall need to peep what they actually look like for Blood Sweat and Tears performances, it's a vibe. Otherwise, their drip here is pretty lit so I can see why you might think this was also a dress rehearsal
Even tho there are repeated choreo parts, you may not notice since you don't know them but often times its the same moves but they are at different locations, there may even be different center. So visually its the same but for the members they are at different spots.
Happy birthday!!! Can tell you this was absolutely not a dress rehersal lol, theyre just used to costumes so they practice in anything The outfits for blood sweat and tears are super fancy, like vampire styled stuff Love your BTS reactions!! :))
Thanks for the reaction! Remember that BTS are a musical group, so the reason members have their isolated parts is that it’s their turn to rap or sing.
Please consider that they're going to perform this live while singing with live vocals.. They need to be smart to conserve their energy throughout performance/concert while singing/dancing more than 20 different tracks for like 3 hours straight.
I really think youd like their older Bullet proof pt2 and Danger dance practices! They were much more synchronised style back then and it has a super cool affect, tho it was some of their very first songs so some had only been dancing for a couple years max Happy birthday! Thanks for the reactions :)
The thing I love about BTS is that not only do they change up their musical genres but their choreo is so different as well. I appreciate that they're not afraid to experiment. Whether it's trendy or not, they can go BIG....HUGE...but they can do simple and subtle equally as well. And either way, for me and many others, they're able to hold our interest. Yes, it's the a combination of the song, the choreo, the fits, the set...but I also think a huge part has to do with their stage presence when they're in performance mode. Something switches. There's a fire in their eyes. And you just can't look away.
Happy birthday! When you were talking about colliding if bunched up my mind went their black Swan performance on James cordon show. V kicked jhope in the head and he just kept on magnificently, lucky they were barefoot.
This is why I have issues with dancers speaking on their dance practices. They want to pick at everything the way they want it done and not looking at this is for their stage performances. Dancers are not on stage dancing and singing and putting 200% in like BTS. But nice reaction.
I suggest you to watch emeroy, is a dancer who has some reaction to bts and their reactions are amazing and so complete, and because he is a dancer he understand that the coreos are already difficult and more if you have to sing at the same time, he said that a lot of times in his videos
True plus the producer/musicians types. There's this one that irks me (I'm still a sub but I rarely watch him) when he starts with the "I wouldn't have done that" ugh!
Well as far as I'm concerned, them being compared to professional dancers, it's a win cos dancing is only like 30% of what they do and need to worry about during performances whereas dancers only need to worry about dancing xD
the choreo repeats because it goes along with the chorus and prehook... the words to a chorus are repeated so why is it weird that the dance is repeated as well?
happy birthday shout-out! BTS dropped mv of BUTTER a few days ago and broke all youtube records. Then the next day they did it live on the Billboard Music Awards where they won everything for which they were nominated. (And the choreo was different than the mv)
I agree with Yuna, as I thoroughly enjoyed listening to both of you sharing your knowledge with us, obviously gained through personal experiences. Thanks for that. I look forward to tuning into watch your channel and listen to more breakdown analysis of bts dance routines. BORAHAE!!!!!!! I PURPLE YOU BOTH, AND ALL ARMY WORLDWIDE !!!!!!! from Putiki, Whanganui, AOTEAROA/New Zealand
Well during the chorus ofc it’s going to be repeated and when a solo member is doing something they’ll be doing something else to stand out! Also remember they’re singing and rapping live whilst performing these choreos!!
Happy Birthday !! Hope you had fun. Great reactions ! Kpop has always been doing rehearsal recordings , they only started releasing them to fans because we love to see them and some people use these vids to learn their dances since theres no cutting camera like the mv or music show. Choreo is telling a story Some reasons they record is to review their non-mirror practice before t.v. plus these vids are often sent to the tv music shows (weekly music shows they perform at once a song is released) plus award shows ahead of their performance so the camera directors can know who to focus on when they're doing their solo part, like who is singing now, or this is a dance break. The mic drop practice you watched was for an award show MAMA so they are wearing their name tags and the camera director has a cue sheet of who to cut to. I've seen some practices where a member will raise their hands etc. so I think thats why the focus for the camera too, this particular practice is for the weekly tv show they will make their come back on
Aw! I’m a year late but still wanted to wish you a Happy blessed birthday! Hope the year was good to you folks! Always a pleasure to watch your reactions! I always learn something from you folks! Thank you for all that you do! ☺️
When I saw this I couldn't click fast enough. It's the cleanest and the symmetry is amazing. Also the video to this is top quality. Thanks for your reaction! I appreciate it. 💜
Happy Birthday friend!! Hope you had a great time. BTS have just released the dance practice to their new record-breaking song, Butter. Also, NCT Dream have also just released the dance practices for two of the songs from their new comeback, Hot Sauce and Dive Into You. And also SM girl group Aespa have just released a choreography video for their brand new single, Next Level (I’m currently obsessed with both Next Level and Hot Sauce, as well as Taemin’s latest comeback, Advice (but no choreography video/dance practice yet for Advice))
🙋🏽♀️Happy Birthday Bro. 🍾🥂 🎂🎁💐 Bro, you have to see the video, the fashion, the sensuality. Wait until you view their early 2014, 15 etc choreography. A dancer/ choreographer’s dream.
I read a lot of comments about there dance moves and how they have to sing and dance etc... I think the one thing that everybody missed is the fact that these reactors were not saying anything negative about the dancing. When they stopped to talk about the moves, etc... it wasn’t about their dancing not being complex enough. It’s was an appreciation and positivity about the moves and how it expanded then came back together and smoothness of the performance. I’m saying this, because I have seen dancers reacting to BTS dance practices and in a negative way talk about their moves and how easy they are. I like you, commented on the same points you did, but these guys were not do that, it was all positive.
Happy birthday! 🎂🥳🎉 Thanks for giving your expertise on the choreo as always! This particular choreo also reminded me of watching a flower bloom in a time lapse with the way they went in and out from the center and with the levels, so very apt description!
Gaby is correct, that is their common way of dressing during their dance practices unless they do apparel / costume versions. Some of them usually wear baggy or more comfortable breathable clothes in dance practices so they can move around much easier.
Thank you for reacting to BTS dance practices, your expression of flower blooming was beautiful Yes, their moves sometimes repeated in a song, but you'll notice that they always change the formation, so everyone get a chance to shine, and remember they must sing while dancing :) Can't wait for another reaction videos~ stay healthy, happy birthday :)
Please react to their “SBS Performance practice” that was 7 years ago of where they started. All of their practices are good. Loved this reaction btw. Thank you.
Happy Birthday!! Thank you for appreciating our boys and their talents. And I'm glad you are back. Hopefully you can do more BTS soon. They have so much content and you won't be disappointed. Some suggestions I would make are 2019 MMA Awards, I Need You dance practice, Danger dance practice, and Best Dance Breaks & Intro Performances. Thank you again 💜💜💜
Im 2hrs late sorry i just woke up from 2hrs sleep too im as a BTSARMY im always busy specially we got BTS BUTTER new English single that broken alot of Record that THEY THEMSELVES HAVE. Happy birthday 💜💜💜 to you
6:54 Yes! Thank you. Eye contact is absolutely the greatest unspoken strength of BTS from the beginning. As a part of showmanship, you have to connect to that person on the receiving end, the viewer. If you cannot project your energy, passion, and emotion through the camera to capture the hearts of your viewers and audience, why bother? For a debut group at the time and even for groups that followed, BTS crowned themselves king of presence. If you watch other groups on stage, and then BTS, you can tell. You can see the level game clear as day. Eye contact with the camera was definitely priority for their label. A lot of time is wasted if you train someone to figure out they can't even look at the camera. There are groups senior to BTS who still have trouble looking into the camera. Bang PD might have been the essential eye to getting all these things together. He is always honest and tells them what their weak points are and then you better show improvements when he sees you again, or you are cut from the running and go back to the training room.
Thank you! Glad ya reacted to bts blood sweat tears and loved it as much as I do. I’m not a dancer but I love the movements and formations and the art of dancing. I think that’s what got me into kpop. Ive said this before but ya gotta check out exo kai’s “mmhm” dance practice. The formation, transitional, the smoothness. Love it! Backup dancers are on point! Kai, true dancing king!
Watch their mama 2016 they preformed this with an intro first with jungkook in a harness that sadly mnet don’t show that part any more on their channel after that j-hope perform boy meets evil and jimin perform Lie and then j-hope and jimin together before they preform blood sweat and tears and last fire, mnet have them in two parts, it’s possible that you can find the full version so you can see it as it was shown. Watch their Fire dance practice.
