We do three a year, not just in May. May day, Our birthday in July, and winter nights in October. Seems like a shame to only have this fun once a year.
Everybody is bad at this😉,when I explained one of the possible folk stories about this at my granddaughters school during a talk on Paganism, they stopped doing it👍
Wow, I guess the religious bigotry runs deep at that school. Surprising that they let you hold a talk on paganism, but good on you for representing. The world is begining to wake up and realize that the old gods are still here.
@@northwoodskindred Its not bigotry, its just the English folklore legend is a bit too sexual for 8 year olds they thought. We ahve done many talks at schools etc, the entire concept of Paganism is protected in the UK, my grandchildren have "Pagan" on their school files under religion, we can take them out of school for Sabbats etc, at work im down as Pagan on my HR form, i crate blogs that go on on the company employees website that are well received. I can take time off for sabbats as well. We have all the protection from discrimination as any other religious path, we even have a Pagan oath that we can swear in court or any other legal thing. We have it a lot easier that you do over there im afraid
@@andruid5054 That is awesome, I admit that I was looking through the American lens, we do not have that level of acceptance yet, in our schools, but we are working on it. We still have a lot of christian zealots pulling the strings. But the tides are turning.
