Hey Marty, I lost my wife of only 14 months at age 27 back in December and I've listened to this countless times since then and it brings me to tears each time man, you've got a gift and I thank you so much for sharing it, it's helped me tremendously on the darker days. My best friend committed suicide in 2009. She was 16 years old. We were in the middle of our final exams in high school. I was so devastated. I turned to drugs and alcohol. Today I have been sober for a very very long time. God gave me purpose and my purpose is to live. She is the reason I am sober today. Thank you. Guys..think OUT of the box for a second....some viewers 'dislike' the EMOTION they feel watching a video...therefor the dislikes here is because SOMEBODY DIED and it MAKES THEM SAD (I know the dislike is used wrong, but that is how some people interpret it.

Its ok buddy. Things seem to get easier but I think you learn how to find happiness in other things to offset the hurt. The hurt you have now will always be there for someone you are that close to, but thats a good thing, it helps keep you humble too. Wish you the best through your tuff times bud!

Gotta say I keep coming back to this song over the years. 2 wars then 12 years as a street cop in a terrible place. So much death, misery and sadness it’s difficult to make sense of. Really like this,it has helped me through a rough time. My 12 yr old son passed away on august 13 of this yr we played this at his viewing opened my mind a lot. Let me start by saying, I have been a fan since I first heard "The Ranger". I lost my 16 year old son December 1st 2015, and I have heard this song many times since he passed, including it being beautifully sang at his funeral. I was to the point where I felt like I may never feel anything ever again. I was in my brothers tattoo shop with all my buds, just showing them how talented you were and I came across your cover of this song. I sat in that tattoo shop and cried my eyes out. My dad was a very musical person, he loved this song by Dani and Lizzy, and I think he would have loved your cover even more. He died in 2016, when I was 10. It's people like you that the reason I joined is to protect those that deserve it. I have no remorse on the actions i have made and god will be the only one to judge me when that time comes and best believe Lalo will be waiting for his solider brothers like me with open arms and a beer to drink with him to catch up on old times. I found this song on TikTok but it was a different version. I didn’t think much of it, that all changed when I lost my big brother, the only brother I had. Now this song holds a meaning. You can feel them, see your memories with them, think of where they’re laid to rest. I can’t see him, but I can feel him, especially in the evening sky. He’s up there waiting for us. ❤

I recently went through the hardest time of my life. I got divorced in July of this year. I felt as if I was loosing my family. Suicide seemed as if it was the only answer. Among other things and a power greater then all I'm still here, stronger then ever. This song and the way you've sang it spoke to me as if that's how my ex and my kids would have talked to me. I couldn't bare the thought. In a way the song saved me. Thank you and God bless.

+matthew edge Brother, I can tell you that I'm doing a lot to better. every day was a battle. I had to accept all the small things that were good around me. Eventually it all added up. I spent time away from my kids, 10 months to be exact. I had to rebuild myself. And finally when I saw them over Christmas weekend, it was all worth it. They notice the change, yet loved me the exact same. I'm not going to lie to you and tell you every day it'll get better. For me, it got worse before it did better.
