Emma is the best of the best. It's not only her talent and voice, but also her personality and kindness. This world needs this. We need love. Emma brings it.
Andre and Pierre have been stringing us along for a while with hints of a new song, but nothing could have prepared us for this one, and it's a wonderful indication of how much talent and ability Emma has, and a absolute testament to her determination, only three days ago, she had to have her feeder tubes replaced, and it didn't go well, there were problems, what should have been 15 minutes became at least an hour, with no anaesthetic to take the edge off the pain, yet she did the rehearsals and then this first live performance with not even a hint of any issues, and that performance was beyond stunning, her vocal range has clearly got even wider, and the wonderful way she switches from soft and gentle to absolute belter mode in one breath, and then switches back again, I don't have words for it, and as for those incredible top notes, I'm still trying to work out how she manages to sustain that power and length of note, an absolutely stunning performance, and it deserves to get the same viral response as did Voila, once the 'official' version is released in a few days time, the only shortcoming of this video is that phones don't cope well with strong volume levels, which is a trademark of Andre's shows. The official version will use the mix from the sound desk, so won't have those issues. The only thing that is holding Emma back from soaring even higher is the ongoing issue of gastroparesis, so I make this plea to everyone reading this thread. Emma's foundation is gastrostars.nl If at all possible, please support them with a (regular) donation to help their work in researching and hopefully finding new treatments, or even better, a cure, which may mean that for the first time since she was 9 months old, Emma might be freed from being tied to the equivalent of a boat anchor for 22 hours a day, her feeding pumps and tubes, if that were to be possible, it would give her the freedom to sing more, and for longer periods, in the way that only she can.
@marie-thcasartelli8098 so true, and having seen her introduction on another version, so deeply moving, so open and so challenging, those words were enough to get the tears going before she sang. Huge respect for her wonderful personality and humanity, she truly is a very special individual.
