European arcade mix and the sequel to DS Euromix. At least the banners aren't a generic blue banner. Green songs - New licenses Yellow songs - New Konami original songs Blue songs - Returning Konami original songs
I worked in a bowling alley from 2002 until 2008 and this machine took 10 times as much money as all the other video games and it was still there until a few years ago when a new bowling company took over. The previous company refused to get an updated version because it was so popular.
I still stand by this being a solid mix, especially for the time. I know my name makes me appear biased, and maybe that's true, but still... :P I also love how Konami programmed a spinning cube with a DDR pad pattern as a BPM display just for this game.
This is a perfect mix tbh, licenses from the trends at the time plus a handful of Dancemania songs, a whole list of new songs and all the orignals from EuroMIX1 Internet Ranking version. Why Konami Europe decided to split the game into two volumes (MegaMix and Fever) instead of making a console port of EM2 saddens me...
Until SuperNOVA came out, this was the best mix. All the Konami Orignals of Euromix 1 Internet Ranking version, a decent list of licenses both from Universal and EMI. It hurts to know that this game is an endangered species.
I'm glad when I go to the beach, this is the mix that's there. It's so nostalgic. I don't go there often but I always pick this one over the others like fusion.
DDR is still made for the arcades today, although a good majority of the songs we might have known are removed in later games. While most of the Konami originals are still in the games today, the licenses have been replaced. The current game in the DDR series is DDR A3, which released this year.
Instead of Dancing Stage MegaMix there should have been a PS2 version of EuroMix 2. Any songs unable to be ported over due to licencing issues could have been replaced with the MegaMix licences. It would have been a solid game.
For the longest time while watching this I thought this was a PS2 game and was thinking that this is one of the best DDR mixes ever. I still stand by that but I'm less surprised for arcade. Is there no Maxx Unlimited? Also did they completely abolish any rating system for this mix? No foot rating or groove radar?
@@ShadowFeline _Technically_ Dancing Stage MegaMIX was this game's CS counterpart, but with a completely different song list (both were based on DDRMAX2).
