Congratz for the video showcase from dr3ad and thanks for the shoutout! Great to see this Dancing Strike SC combo in action. Was too much into marksman this cycle but im looking forward to play it in the future aswell :)
i too was looking for something not shadow daggery ! As a new player i'm feeling short of a detailed Affixes to look for section but it's an amazing guide already thanks
This build is crazy. Im doing 20k dmg at level 45. Keep up the good work. I was reading the comments and might try to go shuriken for the extra armor. Update: 160c. Could see myself go for higher but, I cant seems to get my stacks with dancing blades. I find that the duration of the stacks are too exact. Just a bit slow and I will lose my stack and dancing blade has some launching forward that makes me miss my target sometimes. I might need to reduce more my dash (didnt put all the points into that passive). I did go for shuriken for more armor but the increase is not that much. Im already at 50% mitigation. One piece of gear that might help you get even more armor is snowblind. Your weapon already got blind on hit. It gives good amount of more armor and 3LP doesnt seems that hard to ger.
Sorry for the late reply, here's a "turbo bis planner". I try not to make these too crazy as i don't like to play my builds for very long. Notable swaps are: I'd use a well rolled Stymied Fate boot which would be pretty insane for this build and would free up the ring slot for an Oceareon. I would swap my helm base type for the CDR one and this planner would have a shift cooldown of like 1.2 sec or so. www.lastepochtools.com/planner/B5j1MxXo
Nice build, looks really fun! There is so few good guides in LE unfortunately, especially about non broken builds. Right now i am having fun with lightning meteor sorc, but next would be this build for sure.
@@minhphuoc22 RU-vid doesn't allow links, but you can find 3 min video from d munkey by searching "last epoch lightning meteor". I used his build as an example and changed it a bit to my taste. You just stack intellect and that's it. I didnt kill aberoth for now, but clearing 300 cor monoliths is easy enough.
Great build, but I am still trying to make it work properly. I am having a lot of mana issues, do you have any specific tips? The correct rotation is sync > dance > sync > shift > dance > sync > dance > shift > sync > dance, right?
Just to make it simple: you will want your Shift on ~a 1.8sec cooldown and then you will need to be pressing shift every time its off cooldown to help your mana. I think you are pressing sync a bit too much here. Look for mana efficiency with sync strike idol & item
I think the umbral blades setup is all wrong if you're going for mana regen. You picked a node that shoots the blades away instead of returning them on Shift use, so the only mana you get back is from the Shadow Cascade's "Onslaught" and "Fight in the Shadows" nodes. If you did it for the damage, then it's okay at sniping stragglers.
@@wanderdota The only way I could test it is actually unlearning the Shift procs Cascade node which basically cripples the build for a long while till you get it back. Might do it when I have a free point earned, just to be sure, but the talent only returns 8 mana (if it works, I think), compared to Cascade's talents that return 27.75 mana when you cascade with 4 shadows up. Also, I think Shadows only ever leave 1 umbral blade behind each, so talents that increase amount of blades thrown probably don't do a thing either, since we're not actually throwing them. It's hard to test when the damn things are so tiny and instantly disappear. when you shift. Still, the build is a blast, didn't know that a slight change in talent tree of one or two skills and snapshotting cascade would result in such a huge damage difference. Now I just need better gear cause holy crap I'm squishy. Dodge rating was doing the job till I hit like, latter half of Act 9, when the scaling gets outta whack and you suddenly drop from being dodge capped to like, 50% at best, so now it's more like "kill before they touch you". Still, 1 shotting even fully juiced Nemesis is great. Spares me the crap mechanics :D
I'm gonna try this build. I'm wondering if it's worth it to put the remaining 3 passive points in your planner to perfection related nodes. Have you tested the build with that in mind? Since you have lots of dodge chance, you might be able to retain perfection stacks most of the time. That's free additional armor/dodge/damage.
Thanks for the build guide. I'm curious about the choice of Falcon Fists in the glove slot, is that an export error just being snapshotted at the wrong time? The attack speed mods seem to be the only useful stats in that slot!
Appreciate you! So the falcon fists, I didn't really talk about them but I actually think they're perfect for the build. They have a lot of flat fire damage and this build does not care about having Physical damage only etc. The only reason you would want phys damage is to make your armor shred and phys res shred more effective. I value the endurance, flat fire damage, attack speed. It's not make or break, you can just use any t7 attack speed gloves here.
@@colbeyo8530 yes as long as you don't have % increased physical damage on your gear. Rogue passives dont specifically give physical only. Only issue is phys shred is free in the build and that wont benefit from other types, but that's kind of minor.
Yes the build is good with just t20 rare items, no uniques that make or break it. You will have to make some adjustments with what I teach in the vid. You got this!
played the build and it is very nice. the flow of attacks is just what i like. I do have a question, is T7 Melee physical better than T7 Crit multi? Thanks alot. Keep the Builds coming. Also trying out your Erasing strike build.
Flat Melee physical is going to be much better than Crit Multi. I haven't mathed it out exactly but I would expect it to be roughly 20-50% more damage than crit multi Rough math: going from 350 > 450 crit multi is a 28% increase in damage going from 100 > 160 flat damage is a 60% increase in damage
@@Fej-jeF hmm, that's a close one. I think Phys Pen, Crit Multi, increased phys, and Attack Speed are all going to be pretty close, it really just comes down to what you have the least of. I would lean towards not taking crit multi because u already get +275% crit multi on bosses with the rhythm stax If it were me i would be slamming my dagger with t7 flat phys, t5 attack speed, t5 armor shred, t5 phys pen
Wouldnt Gladiators Oath be better then Tongue ? It gives you 100% crit while in the Fighting Arena so you literally cannot not crit. With that you can fully focus on crit multiplier
Surprised you didn't go for windmill ballet + blade shield. It feels almost necessary for how much durability it pumps up. Trying a wacky version with shift + acid flask with pools, contaminate blade dance, poison shadow cascade with porcupines wrath, and shuriken with blade shield. Super curious if you feel blade shield is necessary or not, because I kinda want to try to greed in some skill to make more shadows.
So yes, the build should definitely replace umbral blades with Blade Shield. But for me, I needed that +8/+10 mana per Shift cast to sustain my mana on Aberroth. Perhaps if you get enough mana regen and some mana efficiency with synch strike you can drop umbral blades and go blade shield + windmill ballet. You can also play around with Smoke Bomb, it's quite nice for the build as well for bosses.
@@wanderdota Very interesting, thank you. I tried a version of my build with the mana regen shift actually, and I'm really enjoying it with the dot umbral support. I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone talk about Trickling Cuts anywhere, it nearly doubles my global DOT damage, huge sleeper steroid. Thank you for the content! Really enjoyed the format.
@@rcane6842 Like nothing lol, just started Last Epoch, just hit corruption 120. @wanderdota Would recommend you try a version of this with sword thrower. For whatever reason it gives the big sword on shadow drop, which is much nicer since you aren't throwing the umbrals yourself.
Hey bro ! Thanks for the build ! I found some issues during bulding my own gear for this build, does endurance is so important ? What are the best scaling damage stat on him ? Dex, crit multiplier, physical damage, phys. dmg % ? Im kinda lost, especially since there is not alot of gear options in the market rn, i don't understand how to scale with this build :(
Built this a couple of days ago and it is fun to play, level 87 so far. I am using the same gear as you except the amulet, but not as good. I have 22 skill points. I can not get it to snapshot the shadow cascade. When I hit sync strike and get 4 shadows out and then hit shadow cascade, my dps goes from 45301 on shadow cascade to 47751, but only stays for about 2 seconds. No where near the 5x multiplyer you spoke of. What am i doing wrong? Also, since I only have 22 points, which nodes should i leave out?
be sure you have the node that gives 100% more damage with 4 shadows out. Try directly using cascade with 0 shadows and then directly using it with 4 and observe the tooltip dps. It should atleast double in value. You can take points out of the Area, or Attack Speed scaling one. For sync, you can take out of the crimson shrouds.
@@wanderdota I do have those nodes and checked again this morning. Not sure what changed, but it is snap shotting now. I took off mountain helm and put on dragon visage. Now base is 14056, and after 4 shadows and cascade, it goes to 44607. I put mountain helm back on, but it still snapshotted. Not sure why, buy glad it's working, much more damage now. Ty for the help, and really cool build.
should mention u need t5 dancing and nihilis for extra skill points or u dont have enough to make it work properly. was trying to figure out if u put to many points in planner or what i was doing wrong lol
@@wanderdota whats more important crit multi or arena, everything seems so mandatory for it to actually do damage. i only hve 2 in arena no crit multi and point out of something else cause i only have 22 points. also nearly require potion cleanse on belt aswell so thts 2lp needed for shattered chains. u also HAVE to have shift under 2seconds or it plays like complete ass, run oom cause cant keep shift up enough so ur just playing hit and run BD like shadow daggers
@@nafezilla6023 fighting arena hardly adds any damage. You def dont really need cleanse. I do agree you want your shift under a 2 sec cd at a minimum, but u can always use dancing strike to proc cascade when its on cd. Dont take the rhythm upgrade until u have enough mana regen
u need atleast 1 siphon of anguish for doom application and i guess you could use LP1/2 Penumbra for other ring but oceareon would just be better. Also i dont want to farm it. We dont use shadow dagger here
I can see that your Shadow Cascade goes up to 220k+ with the snapshot. Mine only goes to 78k, any guesses to why? Might be the crit chance but this is driving me nuts 😅
they aren't mandatory for the build of course but i do think they are great with 2lp. rogues increased damage % is not typed to physical so the flat fire damage is a pretty big boost, the endurance helps, and attack speed is a more damage multiplier so yeah it just doesn't get much better than these as an offensive item choice.
why are you going for like 400% increased crit when you would only need 300% to cap? Assuming you only need 300 that opens other possibilities like crit reduction slam and crit reduction hybrid on chest, more health, dodge or a 3 lp pillagers gold for 8% more damage or a relic with res implicit
And can u help me? sinc>dancing in a low (sink>dancing)at here my shadow doesnt attack only i am dancing so stress my english is so bad so i coukdnt underdtand after watch skill rotation:(
