Loosely inspired by MikomiShizuka's Thrax/Odette series.

Plot: Esmeralda is a gypsy who lives in on the streets. Scrapping what she can to get by when a couple of guards stop her and try to take her money. There's been many scraps between the gypsies and the local guards because of Judge Frollo, who hates the gypsies. One day Frollo pushes farther than he ever has and traps all of the gypsies in the Court of Miracles. It's here he kills all of them and molests Esmeralda before she makes a hasty escape as he releases one of her hands.
Hades is also in the underworld watching these events through an all seeing eye. He smiles knowing he has more souls joining them in the underworld. ( Not shown: Thrax is beyond mad because he's secretly been watching Esme for years and has fallen in love with her. Much to Hades dismay and he makes fun of him for it. )
Esmeralda escapes the slaughtering and goes to an abandoned cathedral and hesitantly prays to someone for help. Thrax comes up from the ground and hears her calls. Esme and him don't hit it off very well after she insults him and he throws her to the ground in frustration. However they talk some more and Thrax tells her he has a plan to get rid of Frollo. Esme smiles and watches as Thrax disappears.
Thrax heads back to the underworld where he goes to get a toxic potion from Hades. He comes in unexpectedly and surprises Thrax. Hades surprisingly helps him out without a warning and makes a few snarky comments to his brother about falling in love with a human. They argue for a second before Hades calms back down, gives the potion to Thrax as he leaves.
Esmeralda is getting ready for her dance at the festival of fools when Thrax shows up again. They both send each other flirtatious remarks as they converse. He gives Esme the potion and tells her that the first person she kisses will die by nightfall. She kisses Thrax before drinking the potion as a thank you for helping her. She then drinks the potion ( her eyes are pink when she's about to use the powers )
She seductively dances for the crowd and awes Frollo. Thrax is thoroughly enjoying this and both Esme and Thrax realizes that they are both lusting for each other ( and Esme is falling for him too ). She pecks Frollo on the nose with her lips and playfully slips away, knowing his soon to be fate.
Later that same night, Frollo dies mysteriously but Esmeralda still feels like the deed isn't done yet. Thrax leans in to ask whats wrong and she says that she wants the whole city to burn. She feels the supposed innocent people of Paris don't deserve to live because they are as guilty as Frollo for belittling her people ( who're all dead ) Thrax happily agrees to this and sets the grand cathedral where Esme has been staying on fire. The gargoyles literally start spouting the fires of hell as the city is engulfed in lava and flames. No soul survives that evening and Thrax walks away, disappearing back into the underworld with Esmeralda by his side.
