Dancing Wings Sopwith Camel Maiden Flights 

Think we fixed those nose overs by increasing the vertical by one inch so we could control at slower speeds to land and increase the elevator throw

The runway is grass.

The runway is grass. We have a great field to fly on. It's 700' by 80'!

@@truman42746 yes, sorry, we have a Geotex runway at TCAF that I love because I can actually land my SE5a without flipping, There is NO way I could do it on grass lol

Been trying to get a geotex runway here for awhile. All the same ol lame excuses from the guys that fly the monster gassers for 30 min a flights

Cool. Didnt know there was a kit. I had to make my vertical tail about a inch taller to get it to stop wondering around at slower speed

Hope to see more good things in the future and if I subscribe I Will keep you abreast. The first thing I'm going to do is the dancing Wings kit of the eyas i believe it's in the drawer right now and it's a 1200 mm training style airplane. It's also engineered beautifully. Then I am going to do the t30 training airplane which is a low wing trainer. And then I'm going to do the camel. So I'm going to subscribe right now and maybe we can stay in touch. I think that having built balsa years ago this cad design stuff is going to be quite interesting to say the least. Buy John from Canada

Thanks tug. It really needs more vertical by a inch or so. I put a lexan extension on it and it really helped the slow speed handling. You really dont need more then 1/2 throttle. After the ext on vertical it landed easy and didn’t nose over on 5 straight landings. I also increased the throw on the elevator and that helped keeping upright landings. Is it worth the money? I wouldn’t buy it again. Its just not fun to fly so far

@@winggs88 Thanks for your honest input about this model. Could you make a short video on how you used the amazing Lexan sheeting/ tubing for the extension on your vertical . Maybe it could be applied to other Bi-Plane models. You May be onto something others are looking for for there models. As far as fun to fly once you get it dialed in and know the flight envelope I am sure you will like it more.👍✔🎸

@@tughillrc6327 i just taped the lexan to existing rudder etc. it worked better so a friend built a new vertical stab and made it 1 inch taller then stock

My rx is a spectrum ar620. A small antennaless cube. Its just in front of the servos.

I increased the elevator throw to get more up for ground ops. Also moved battery back some. Its landing thats crazy. When you get slow enough to land it just goes wherever so made a bigger vert stab by at least a inch taller

1 more thing,does battery go on bottom,or on motor mount platform up top
