A FREE FOOD THAT IS MORE PRECIOUS THAN GOLD! How to use it and why; nutritional, supplemental and medicinal benefits. Have you seen my "Smart Composting" video or my "How to Grow Strawberries and Dandelion" video? They are on my "K's Primitive Food" playlist; also my video called "K's Homegrown Easy and Smart Superfood" may be helpful on that same playlist. On my "Critical Mineral Facts" playlist I made a video called "Most Critical Supplement," which is about organic seaweed and how essential it is, both to consume and to add to your garden compost, so that your garden greens have ALL of the minerals from the SEA, including electrolytes, in perfect balance and quantity.
Check out one more recent/related video, "WILD FOOD FOR HARD TIMES."

When people first came to Canada they dried the dandelion roots to grind and make ersatz coffee. I learned that in grade nine.

You are correct as to the doctors, big pharma companies, being about the money. When you go into a doctor's office you have to tell them what your problem is.. If you already know, then why not fix it.. If you are really sick and need a certain medicine, be sure you know what to ask for in treating it, or an idiot can tell you some useless prescription to buy that won't help you at all... I'm 72 and know exactly what I am saying.. USE your head folks... On this dandelion video, I found it very useful.. I have a large yard with lots of this stuff but have never tried dandelion yet but I am about to start... Great job, thumbs up..

Excellent Video ! Personally. I had "Swollen Glands". My Primary Care Physician wasn't concerned with that. Not at all. I used my own tea made from Dandelion root, Green tea, Ginger, Lemon juice, Honey, Cyanne pepper. It healed my swollen glands. Over night . No kidding.

Back in 1991, some awful neighbors (ass-holes) poisoned my dogs. It was high doses of dandelion root and chlorophyll that made an overnight difference. I believe that it was the main reason that I was able to save 2 out of 3 of those dogs. Been using it on the generations of dogs that followed as a daily detox.

Rhizome....the little ‘platelets’ - those are called rhizomes and, like many tuberous plants - turmeric, flat-leaf parsley, ginger, etc. - each little rhizome represents a new plant which can be snapped from the ‘Mother Plant’ and replanted in a pot or garden patch. In Switzerland and many parts of French-speaking Europe, ‘Dent du Lion’ salads and soups are seasonal gastronomic specialities and many restaurants, auberges & cafés which offer these highly nutritious dishes are flooded with business. Many neurosciences study the toxonomy of dandelions because of it’s application versatility but also because of it’s prolific nature.

I have a backyard full of dandelions. I've lived here for over ten years. For the first time, I picked the dandelion heads to make dandelion oil. I always chew on a few leaves. Now, I'm going to dig up some roots and dry them or put them in a salad or my daily smoothie. Thank you for all you shared here, Kay!!!
@breakingthespells2041
@breakingthespells2041 4 года назад
IMPORTANT: If you want to make it easy to dig up the roots, plant your dandelion from seed in a raised bed or large pot with relatively loose soil. I do that because the ground here is packed with dense clay. I have certain huge pots and my smaller raised bed that I designate to be areas to be able to pull up the roots without affecting the main growing area (where I only use the parts that grow above the soil). See the links to helpful videos in the description of this video.

My yiayia straight from Greece back in the 50’s-70’s always picked dandelions from the back yard. It was a dandelion yard. It drove my dad crazy because of a yard of ‘weeds’. My grandpa lived to 105 and my yiayia to 98 and had a hard busy family life. I grew up on dandelion greens olive oil and lemon. She would boil root and all. And use her bread to sop up the juice. These were eaten during the Great Depression everyday. I think I am going back to eating them. I ate them with her for 20 years then moved away. That’s when within 10 years ended up with an immune disease. Maybe going back may help with inflammation . Nice video thanks!
@breakingthespells2041
@breakingthespells2041 5 лет назад
Very wonderful story!!! Concerning the immune disease, you are not alone; so many people have immune disease from leaky gut (also called intestinal permeability) and don't know it. I think that the main culprits are the confusion in the immune system that vaccines cause and/or an unnatural high carb/grain diet. That type of problem happened to me from one tetanus shot when I was 16, back in 1975. That has led me on a passionate health quest ever since, also for our animals. As you may see if you check my playlists, my husband and I had to go with the paleo diet for about 9 years, and switched to the ketogenic diet in the last 2 years. The super low carb ketogenic diet with no grains, beans, potatoes or sugar (even fruit sugar) has absolutely helped us the most in every facet of health. To this day, dandelion and seaweed are my most precious sources of nutrients from plants. Even my dandelion garden has kelp powder added to the compost that feeds it.

@@breakingthespells2041 I am HEALING FINALLY after 54 years of extreme suffering from BIRTH. I was premature in 1964 and had "a low working immune system" so THEY put me on an "immune replacement therapy", Tetracycline 2 times daily, every day until I was 11. It completely destroyed me internally in every way, plus the suffering itself with so many horrendous conditions as a tiny child, teen, (begin period with terrible Endometriosis, unknown at the time and no relief), young adult and even now at 54. As I PULL OUT toxins, it isn't pleasant but must be done if I choose to live. I won't bore you with excruciating details and am now working on healing through Dr Robert Morse N.D., here on YT (known Globally and many thousands now teaching his method) and finally having results after numerous surgeries and parts removed, over 20 years on hard core narcotics, numerous types with terrible side affects for pain, lost family, friends, LIFE.. for 20 straight years being totally DRUGGED plus never had a REAL life to begin with or able to really work or ANY of that NORMAL "stuff" people do. I read your comment and wanted to tell you, it is a TOTAL FABRICATION about Fruit sugar. It's a lie from those who know the TRUTH, including Big Pharma and to ignorant people like "doctors" or "nutritionists", it's a crying shame. I suffered an entire life time with things that took DAYS!!! to stop, simply by eating what our HUMAN BODY (Primate) was DESIGNED to eat. I'm 54 now and fighting for my life, System Wide CRASH and all I'm doing is Eating Fruit, drinking WILD Green Drinks and using Dr Morse's Specifically designed and targeted herbs to get Lymphatic System and all my Organs and Glands going again and kidneys filtering again, clear brain lesions that are killing me with Parkinson's and tons of heavy metals and sulpher inside..etc.. I won't write you a book here but I COULD, LOL!! Please Check out Dr Morse. I'd leave a link but I don't want to go in your SPAM folder! hahahah Much Love and BLESSINGS to You. Thank You for your efforts. I mean no offense but to heal, you're completely on the wrong path by not using FRUIT. We are a Frugivore Species.. DESIGNED to pick and eat fruit, peel it easily, process the energy for our cells and use the extreme nutrition and minerals, eat as we go, as we feel hungry, then the Fruit, THE HIGHEST Electrically active food and nutrients on the planet. It's been a VERY confusing journey for me my whole life but FINALLY!! SOMETHING MAKES SENSE!! You've just got to Hear Dr Morse speak on the Great Lymphatic System and look how each species is DESIGNED. We're not designed to process vegetables or meat or grains and AS YOU POINT OUT, not suppose to be having dairy or BAD SUGARS in high quantity as most of the West uses, not to mention the GMO garbage "sugar beets" planted in everything that says sugar unless otherwise stated. (I had ZERO CLUE for most of my life until I went "organic" about 7 years ago and learned SOME, but not about how bad all the OTHER stuff is for humans, organic or not) IT'S THEE GREATEST HOAX EVER PERPETRATED ON HUMANITY! BAR NONE!! The Food LIES lead to numerous other avenues of life, complete industries on farming, equipment, fuel.. YOU NAME IT, including feeding Big Pharma then Big Death business.. SO SICKENING how easy it is to heal as our aging parents and elders rot away senselessly, not to mention ourselves dealing with SO MUCH physically, even our tiny babies are now BORN SICK or with cancer or any number of issues. It is NOT just vaccines but INDEED! Vaccines and all the Big Pharma SO CALLED Preventative medicine or drugs to TREAT thing (never CURE, EVER!)... etc... are seriously wreaking havoc on the human body and immune system WHICH IS THE LYMPHATIC SYSTEM! (smiles brightly) SORRY FOR WRITING SO MUCH!! hahaha I can barely type or write or hold my head up most the time for very long at one time until I heal more but.. I HAD DANDELION DRINK! Woo-Hoo! lol (also over 20 plants greens or flowers) I make WILD Green Drinks but never consume the plant fibers unless cooked and since cooked food is acidic and changes chemistry, I'm not suppose to eat it if I want to heal faster, but... I have been eating some to avoid going nuts again after last year's try. I was pulling out too much too fast and have had a tormenting, excruciatingly painful life both physically and emotionally so, it was TOO MUCH to deal with because even EMOTIONAL baggage is stuck in tissues and comes out.. UGH. Admittedly it is hard to let go of the MENTAL programming plus, cooked food just tastes good but I ALWAYS PAY DEARLY with stiffness, soreness, mental depression and even anger. It's a mind blowing experience documenting what certain foods do. (Yes, I am documenting every BITE) I opened a new YT channel (not the one I'm writing from) to express all about my Healing but I crashed so hard emotionally and physically that I just couldn't do it (Healing Crisis) as I hoped but now I'm doing good enough to cope with all the stuff it takes to upload, edit, etc, as long as it's not much, lol. (i'm on TDS, turtle net so a few minutes takes MANY hours to upload, haha) . I'm so terribly acidic and "sick" that everything I pull out revisits me, LOL. BUT!! Now Spring GREENS are here as MEDICINE and GOD POWER that lights me up like a Christmas Tree or even The Northern Lights, lol. Much Love, Blessings and Prayers to You. I Pray you find TRUE HEALING through "God" Food and Medicine. PLEASE Check out Dr Morse, his method SAVED MY LIFE when I was literally on my death bed, even smelled like death, 68 pounds (should be 100 to 110 average at 5 foot) shallow breathing, no walking alone, had to be carried, in a neck brace, couldn't function at all but REFUSED Ambulance, Hospital or Doctors. I HAD ENOUGH OF "THEM".. I'd rather die at home instead of the presence of KILLERS. Dr Morse SAVED MY LIFE and now I'm working towards getting an actual life for the first time in my life. It took way! over an hour and lots of pain to write this but WORTH EVERY MINUTE if anyone who reads it checks out the TRUTH about what we're designed to eat and WHY.. (((HUGS))) Healing.. TRUE CURES AWAIT YOU *LOVE and LIGHT to You! (and all who took the time to read this message from my Heart and SOUL*

You certainly have quite a story, Becky. I have been on a quest for health since I was 15 years old, back in 1975, when my health was nearly destroyed by one tetanus shot. Since then, I have passionately studied health, what to consume for both humans and the animals in our care. One thing that I have learned is that there is a time for healing and a time for rebuilding; in other words adaptation. My husband was dying from asthma back in 1982 when we were first married. We used a lot of juice, mostly greens, especially dandelion and other high-chlorophyll sources. We cleaned our intestines and did major detox. My husband has never had an asthma attack since we did that intensive healing. At some point, we became vegans for a number of years. We needed that time to heal, but eventually we became deficient in certain amino acids, essential fatty acids and fat soluble vitamins which cannot be available as needed through fruit and vegetables only. What we learned is that we had continually adapt by rebuilding after detoxifying. There are seasons for everything. Do not think that the season that you are in will keep giving you the same results. Nothing stays the same. I am familiar with Dr. Morse. I remember him saying that though it is not an ideal principle in general, he sometimes needs to advise people to use animal-sourced glandulars. Hmmm...Have you heard him say that? After several years of the vegan diet, we both became insulin resistant from such high carbs; it was a health nuisance to me, but it would have killed my type 2 diabetic husband. What at first was a blessing of healing took decades to build up that insulin resistance. The only way that we could overcome that and be strong and healthy at age 60 was to keep our total carbs down to 20 grams or less daily--basically all those carbs from drinking our salads as our only source of carbs. I have videos that I have made and also videos from other wonderful doctors and researchers on the topic. I have several serious playlists with extremely valuable information on extremely important topics, even fruit. While you are on your honeymoon with fruit, keep in mind that most of the fruit available today, even if organic, is extremely perverted from what is found in the wild in a truly ancestrally appropriate diet. In the wild, fruit is very small, very tart and only used WHEN IN SEASON. The plump, sweet modern fruit is NOT ancestrally appropriate, whatsoever! It's like the poodle that has the exact same genetics as the wolf, but has been over-bred and perverted by humans (even though not genetically modified). The same goes with fruit and vegetables. That's why I favor the wild greens, by the way. It is my hope that when your current healing diet begins to build up insulin resistance, you look further to see what you need to rebuild. To quote my husband, "Nature has to mercy on those who refuse to adapt." Be well. K, from Breaking the Spells.

@@breakingthespells2041 I appreciate your reply. Thank You. Just so you know, I have heard Dr Morse speak of the bovine Glandular and am taking it. He's even said as depleted as humanity is genetically, we require some intense intervention through Natural means but not chemical, man made trash... In so many words, lol I'm so depleated, dehydrated, lymphatic stagnant and shutting down organs and glands that to call my healing boost from Fruit a honeymoon isn't really appropriate for my situation. I'm on a dig in. Also, I agree about the phases of building and Detox, building and Detox.. I'm extremely malabsorbed and at 69 pounds with extremely low blood pressure, etc.. so, I need the power and electrical charge of FRUIT 😁 but... HONESTLY?? I finally got my living boost back to the road to healing when Spring WILD Greens came in season. I juice only unless cooked but they're so awesome living that I prefer them that way as juice.🌿🍀 I agree about the CRAPPY fruit and that in season WILD fruit is best and historically only available in season but then, we're designed as an Islander type (or year long fruit growth wild) and got off our Natural diet when man scattered after some global upheaval sent people scurrying for survival and we never looked back. Anyway, to each his own. I'm so happy you and your husband got all your health in order and are now free of ailments or issues, due to your diet.😊 Wild Food is always best, regardless if it's greens, roots, fruits, barks or whatever we require... Wild is best. No fuss, no muss, no pampering, watering, weeding or fighting off critters.. just what God provided in it's original state. You're quite correct about the animals we've domesticated over long time periods too. Also, the meat industry is DESPICABLE 😵😠👿🤬. If there's a hell on Earth for animals, it's those suffering, abused, living in filth and Emotionally traumatized animals we're using for food and any number of uses.. Gross.. poor things😭. At least killing the animal yourself, you appreciate their life sacrifice for your own if one is a conscious human but even then, sport hunting... Ugh.. I won't go there as you know VERY WELL.. AS AN EMPATH... 🤔 I presume you've known most of your life, by name or not, that you were a Sensitive, or Empath.. either name. I'm part Arapahoe and have felt animals and Nature in general since I was a child. I'm sorry you went through so much from that shot🤪😔. Big Pharma's big business to lead humans to the slaughter but slowly if possible and painfully too so we'll take their pain drugs... Yeesh.. anyway, have a Blessed life and continued Good Health!💐 EDIT:. P.S. My middle name is Lay, LOL

No offense with the "honeymoon" terminology; many people experience "honeymoons" with this and that diet, as my husband and I did, more than once. Just be adaptable; we never know what our next challenges will be. It's not only for my own household, it's for many people and animals that I have known that I am driven to study what works. The more we know, the more we know what we don't know. Be well.

Hard to know who does or does not use it. I don't know if any amount of rain can wash away glyphosates (from run off etc.). So yep, seeds in a raised bed or container.

I have plenty of dandelion growing in several areas, so I choose certain areas to pick the roots in the Winter; it is only in those places that I have to replant seeds, while in my main dandelion bed, I don't ever pick the roots. It was my strategy to be able to have my Winter dandelion source of roots to consume while the stem, leaves, and flowers go dormant for 2 to 3 months. If you expand your garden, perhaps an additional raised bed or giant pots, you could do the same.

That said (!), Thank you very much for this video. Ye did a great job in compiling many points, and aspects into this. Very nice simple but effective video work, and excellent freestyle presentation. I would have never known all of this about dandelions. Here in Ireland they are growing out of our ears!! If anyone watches The Iceage Farmer, they will kniw that the powers that shouldn't be, are top-down CRASHING our food supplies WORLD WIDE. Knowledge like this could become vital, but though it's fantastic knowledge and thank you, God help us that it doesn't become life saving knowledge. God bless all.

Sounds like you also have a history of dandelion! I am also Italian, 100% Sicilian specifically. My family used to eat sauteed dandelion with other bitter greens, but not nearly often enough for me. That was back in the 50's, 60's and 70's. In the late 80's I cured my husband's life threatening asthma through hard-core detox; and copious amounts of dandelion and liquid chlorophyll were an integral part of that process. We have consumed dandelion (root, especially, the most potent part) in one form or another from the late 80's onward. I have been growing it from wild seeds for nearly 2 decades now, and they are our most important vegetable/supplement besides organic seaweed. As a matter of fact, I fertilize my dandelion every Winter/dormant season with our own vegetable compost mixed with organic seaweed powder, so my dandelion has the power of the complete/perfect mineral source that only seaweed can provide. We DRINK dandelion "salads" at least once a day and chew seaweed daily also for our main plant-sourced nutrients. I have given both dandelion and seaweed to all of my animals for their benefit also. I have related videos on growing dandelion and other greens and smart composting in case you choose to look at them. A lot of people think that this dandelion video is the only one that I have. Be well. P.S., you may want to also see my videos called "Most Critical Supplement" and "Critical Facts About MInerals" besides my greens and composting videos.

Thank you Kay. Yes you do have beautiful skin and look fantastic. Thank you for all the informative information on dandelions. I will be making and eating this. For the last 5 years or so I have made the switch to more natural organic foods. Using the Earth, Gaia, as she intended for us. Eating foods in their natural state, unprocessed and making it a daily part of our diets will in fact prevent so many ailments that would have manifested in years to come for all of us. There is no denying it. Our ancestors and the indigenous knew of this but we have obviously been swayed in the last century or so to lean more towards convenience and fast foods. Thank you

Imagine the conversation The Creator might have had with St. Francis on the subject of lawns: God: Hey St. Francis, you know all about gardens and nature. What in the world is going on down there in the Midwest? What happened to the dandelions, violets, thistle and stuff I started eons ago? I had a perfect "no maintenance" garden plan. Those plants grow in any type of soil, withstand drought and multiply with abandon. The nectar from the long lasting blossoms attracts butterflies, honey bees and flocks of songbirds. I expected to see a vast garden of colors by now. But all I see are these green rectangles. St. Francis: It's the tribes that settled there, Lord. The Suburbanites. They started calling your flowers "weeds" and went to great lengths to kill them and replace them with grass. God: Grass? But it's so boring. It's not colorful. It doesn't attract butterflies, birds and bees, only grubs and sod worms. It's temperamental with temperatures. Do these Suburbanites really want all that grass growing there? St. Francis: Apparently so, Lord. They go to great pains to grow it and keep it green. The begin each spring by fertilizing grass and poisoning any other plant that crops up in the lawn. God: The spring rains and warm weather probably make grass grow really fast. That must make the Suburbanites happy. St. Francis: Apparently not, Lord. As soon as it grows a little, they cut it... sometimes twice a week. God: They cut it? Do they then bail it like hay? St. Francis: Not exactly, Lord. Most of them rake it up and put it in bags. God: They bag it? Why? Is it a cash crop? Do they sell it? St. Francis: No Sir. Just the opposite. They pay to throw it away. God: Now let me get this straight. They fertilize grass so when it does grow, they cut it off and pay to throw it away? St. Francis: Yes, Sir. God: These Suburbanites must be relieved in the summer when we cut back on the rain and turn up the heat. That surely slows the growth and saves them a lot of work. St. Francis: You are not going to believe this Lord. When the grass stops growing so fast, they drag out hoses and pay more money to water it so they can continue to mow it and pay to get rid of it. God: What nonsense. At least they kept some of the trees. That was a sheer stroke of genius, if I do say so myself. The trees grow leaves in the spring to provide beauty and shade in the summer. In the autumn they fall to the ground and form a natural blanket to keep moisture in the soil and protect the trees and bushes. Plus, as they rot, the leaves form compost to enhance the soil. It's a natural circle of life. St. Francis: You better sit down, Lord. The Suburbanites have drawn a new circle. As soon as the leaves fall, they rake them into great piles and pay to have them hauled away. God: No. What do they do to protect the shrub and tree roots in the winter and to keep the soil moist and loose? St. Francis: After throwing away the leaves, they go out and buy something which they call mulch. The haul it home and spread it around in place of the leaves. God: And where do they get this mulch? St. Francis: They cut down trees and grind them up to make the mulch. God: Enough. I don't want to think about this anymore. Sister Catherine, you're in charge of the arts. What movie have you scheduled for us tonight? Sister Catherine: "Dumb and Dumber", Lord. It's a real stupid movie about..... God: Never mind, I think I just heard the whole story from St. Francis.

Great video! Every part of the dandelion is a nutritional goldmine! I'm aware of the uses and benefits of dandelion roots but have never had the energy to deal with them. ;) However, my Italian grandparents, from the Alps of northern Italy - Piemonte & Trentino - had a ritual of making dandelion green salad every spring with the young leaves (which are less bitter). They would rub a wooden salad bowl with garlic and toss the greens with olive oil & vinegar and salt & pepper, and top it with boiled egg slices (the eggs were an essential part of the ritual since they are a classic symbol of spring "rebirth"). It makes an excellent salad - just slightly bitter, but then, Italians love bitter greens. I still make it every year - just had some yesterday.. I've since added to it snippings of the yellow flower tops - which are loaded with the bioflavanoid quercetin (which is highly toxic to cancer cells) - they're probably higher in quercetin than any other fruit or vegetable. You can't toss in the whole flower in the salad since the green part at the bottom of the yellow flower is bitter; so I pucker up the full flower with my fingers into a small bud shape and use scissors to snip off just the tiny yellow flower "petals" which are a colorful and beautiful additive to a salad (or for aesthetic reasons, sprinkled on a plate to to garnish other foods) - adds a touch of whimsy. I also add wild violet flowers to my dandelion salad now, which are also edible and good for you. I haven't done it yet, but i've read that the the young dandelion flower buds - picked just before they open into a flower- can be pickled and used like capers (recipes online). My grandparents also made dandelion wine, which was the first wine i ever got tipsy on at age 5 - LOL! I've traveled extensively in Italy, mainland Greece and Crete, and everywhere you can see little old ladies out with a plastic bag and a small knife cutting dandelion greens and digging up the roots to use - another reason the Mediterranean diet is so healthful and Italians have a very long lifespan.

Awesome story! I am 100% Sicilian; and I grew up with sauteed dandelion greens. I LOVE them in salads, the whole plant, even the bitter/potent roots! However, for nutritional potency and maximum assimilation into cells, I usually blend them with water and "drink my (dandelion) salads." I have a German-shepherd malinois cross 8 month old puppy. His name is Don Carlo, which is intentionally am Italian name. To top that, he helps himself to the entire dandelion plant when I am picking it from my dandelion garden, and munches it down; he even finds them elsewhere on our property and eats them there too! This video features both dandelion roots and Don Carlo; he stole the show! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aCEa-qKO5gA.html

@@breakingthespells2041 Nice to meet another Italian-American dandelion lover! I almost said i my comment that you look Italian, but didn't want to be presumptuous. :) I don't "look" Italian (i have brown hair, blue eyes and non-olive skin) and always wanted brown eyes and olive skin! I am very proud of my Italian roots and always absolutely hated it when people would say: "but you don't LOOK Italian" - which i always felt was a slight to my Italianita` (Italian-ness). If they had ever been to Italy they would know that in the north, especially, their are even blonde Italians. I have cousins in Trentino (near Trento) that have blonde hair, brown hair and black hair. I have been to almost every part of Italy - I even bicycled through Italy, Greece and (then) Yugoslavia, when i was 30 (so glad i did it then when i was young!). In all, i've been to Italy 11 times - my first trip was as a Senior in HS with the National Junior Classical League - ie: Latin Club. I have been so close to Sicily - all around the heel of Puglia, Basiicata, and Campania - but haven't been to Sicily yet - it's at the top of my list to visit though! I'm really into Minoan archaeology and am fascinated by the fact that the Minoans (an amazing civilization!) were in Sicily (eg: Eraclea Minoa, on the Southern Coast about 30 mi. west of Agrigento- legendarily founded by the Cretan king Minos, who came to Sicily in pursuit of Daedalus after his escape from Crete) and they settled numerous sites in Puglia. The Minoans were definitely in Lipari - a Sicilian Aeolian Island - from the early Minoan (3rd millenium BCE) thru late Minoan periods, where they mined or bought Liparite, a volcanic black obsidian glass embedded with with white pumice speckles, unique to Lipari. They brought it back to Crete where it regularly worked into bowls. Sir Arthur Evans, who excavated the Palace of Knossos (Crete), found a large unworked lump of it in the Palace during its excavation. I've never sauteed the greens - will have to try that with some olive oil and garlic - but have boiled or steamed them. I've found even the older bitter greens are tolerable if cooked. I will have to try blending them - never thought of that! Too funny about your puppy, Don Carlo, eating dandelions! I am a cat person, and have also given my cats Italian names over the years: Topogigio, Beppino, Giulietta (after Giulietta Masina - actress and Fellini's wife - RIP). I doubt i could convince any of them to try dandelion flowers though. ;)

Linda Giovanna Zambanini I live in the country where no sprays are ever used so as I walk I munch the dandelion flowers, holding the green part between my fingers and chewing off the yellow parts which are very tasty, actually.

I just saw your video and had to watch it, I bought pink dandelions to plant from rare seeds. I hope they will be just as good for you. This is from your Dandelion:Food and Remedy video Jan 10, 2016.

If they are truly wild dandelion, the benefits should be the same. The variability is the quality of soil/minerals that they were grown in.

@@breakingthespells2041 I am currently binge watching your channel. I ate some of the root last night. Taste wise, it is a great option for people that do not like the bitter taste of the leaves. Your channel is the first one I have seen that talks about giving it to dogs.

I'm sure that it works by its pH. Most food-grade cleansers/disinfectants are either very acidic or alkaline.

Great idea to grow dandelion on a sailboat! That's the most creative place to grow it that I've heard. I have been telling people that even apartment dwellers can grow it in a pot if they have a balcony, a porch, or any outdoor exposure to the sun.

Hello Kay! I loved watching you share this information and I have learned even more about dandelion. I am just beginning my first "natural farming" garden and I will be putting in lots of dandelion, alongside the dandelion which is already coming up in the garden on its own. There is nothing more magical and exciting than learning from nature. You are an absolute delight to learn from. I really love you. Thank you so much. :) xoxo Heather

Somebody wrote a comment that just now disappeared. They asked about 2 things: Would the vitamins be harmed by dehydrating the dandelion (roots)? And how to dig the roots up without damaging them. If that person repeats their questions in a comment, I will attempt to answer them.
