How cute are these dandelions in resin?? It looks like they are floating in glass orbs and then to top it off they have an LED light stand💓 See below for all products used.

I think the seedlings are called pappus - and these came out really beautiful! I felt like I needed to hold my breath, so that they wouldn’t blow away 😂

The white, feathery tufts of the dandelion pericarp fruit are known as pappi. The pappus develops from the flower and acts as a fluffy parachute that is easily dispersed by wind over long distances.

Love this so much 🤗❤ thanks for the shout out 🤗 this turned out fantastic. I've heard the floral epoxy from the epoxy resin store is even better than the Liquid diamonds. I am going to try it asap. If you pull the side of the mold away from the piece and spray some isopropyl alcohol inside the mold it will pop right out. I've heard the alcohol can damage the mold but idk if that's true or not. But I tried it on a small pyramid I was having a heck of a time getting out and after I sprayed that isopropyl alcohol in there it seriously flew out of the mold. I dropped it 😅🤗

Always amazed at the dandelion staying intact for this process!! Wonder if it is possible to dip the ends of the seeds in glitter before putting in resin? 💖💖

I thought about doing that, but decided that the glitter would overpower the dandelion’s natural beauty. I did, however, end up pouring a layer of colored resin mixed with glitter over the layer of hardened clear resin with the dandelion inside. The result was beautiful.

Pro tip. Spray alcohol down in the mold and it will pop right out. I've done the same thing.

I’m intrigued as to why the alcohol works. Denatured or Isopropyl? And if isopropyl, what percentage? Now I’m going to be experimenting! Thanks.

@@stanzistriker i use 91% isopropyl to loosen the mold, just spray down in there and its so much easier

Growing up, I always called these "wishes" not dandelions lol so when I cast them, I call them "forever wishes"

A vac sealer on the jar setting might also work . Those can be found for less than 30usd

Those are the dandelion seeds. If you pull one out, or if one falls you can see the seed..like a small grain of brown rice.

Why can't I order the mold w/ base and the dandelion on same order? Rather than having to place 2 separate orders and pay 2 shipping charges?

You can! You just have to add them all to one order. The dandelions are under the flowers tab. I had a few people that didn't necessarily want the dandelion with the mold, so they are just listed elsewhere but can certainly all be in one order. I hope that helps, thank you!
