One thing this show has taught me is that the most obnoxious personalities are actually really nice, compassionate, sensitive people. There have been a couple celebrities featured that I previously did not care for that now I like. So this format is a great idea. The viewer is not sitting in the audience as much as a fly on Kevin's phone.
I saw Dane back in maybe 2007 in Columbus, Ohio. Such a bold performer, the show did start a little late. I just figured - hey we'll wait an hour dude, we all want to see you and have a laugh. In reality he was prob dealing with some anxiety stuff...who knew, would have never imagined that? I guess we're all human. I think we all have anxiety, some can just stomach it better than others. Not being critical, I have anxiety too. It's just not something anyone usually talks about. Glad to see these down to earth interviews - I even feel healthier after the hike. Thanks for putting these together Kevin!
I have been preparing to do Stand Up myself for a bit now and funny I watch everyone but the only person I am afraid that I will be accused of copying is Dane.I understood that is a bit of a character ( older stuff) but damn its me in real life haha. Hopefully I can hike with you Kev , you always have been underrated .Funny my channel has subliminal vids

@@giantrobot9000 I 100% agree. Seinfeld's over the top laughing made me never want to watch that show. It's always the same. Seems like he is kissing whoever he is with ass. I love this Hiking with Kevin, it shows how down to earth all of these people including Kevin are.
Great video! My daughter can get on a stage to sing or act in front of a large audience, but has extreme social anxiety when it comes to the small things such as ordering food, checking into a hotel, etc. Basically anything that's not scripted and someone can ask questions, so I totally understand what Dane was saying.

It wasn't even petty theft of a small amount, the guy took everything and tried to run away. How greedy and dumb can people be? He's your brother! He knows everything about you, who you hang out with and can tell the police.

He was accused as a joke thief and there was tension in the comedian community and add the success he had there was jealousy too. Not sure if the accusations were true but there was a lot of joke stealing going on back in those days. Today the community is more supportive and less competitive
As I got older, his comedy isn't for me. But everything else I've seen seems to indicate he's a good dude. Also couldn't help but feel for the guy back when I first heard about his brother ripping him off. I can't even imagine...

Love that Dane is back. The level of hate he was getting wasn't deserved. And it really was just haters just hatin'. Yes, that's a lot of me using the word hate. And as silly as that is, so was the amount Dane received. Nice to see him on shows and things like that.
OK, this is a fantastic format and Kevin is perfect for it. I grew up watching both of these guys. I gotta say, Dane has really come full circle. So good to see him happy and successful, again. Both of these guys are hustlers who work extremely hard and they’re very talented.
Great point - I only watch full Kevin episodes once I get UP to Kevin's energy. I'll run, meditate, lift - eat power oatmeal w/Costco protein. Only then do I respect myself enough - to come to Kevin Nealon's hiking channel and WATCH. -but ye do need prepping. Make a commitment, people. .

Same here even though they said 20yrs younger. Reminds me when a 17yrs old co-worker wanted to date me when I was 25. I initially didn’t feel comfortable with it, but she kept busting them so I agreed to have dinner with her. Once the night was over I had to end it when I noticed her eyes googling at me for a kiss. Although nothing happened, 20yrs later I’m still ashamed that I eventually considered it.

You know I honestly thought it was weird too but what he said in the beginning kinda makes a lot of sense. In his position it may be the best way to be with somebody who doesn't have a preconceived judgement of him.
Actually he's dating a big girl that just happens to have a big age Gap with him and really that's not a big deal to anybody but him really because it could be an issue when he gets older, like retirement age. But how does it affect anybody else!?!? Man, people are so brainwashed. If it was an older woman dating a young man like when Demi Moore was with Ashton Kutcher then shes called a cougar.It just really disgusts me whenever people have this higher than that thow attitude, specially man! but I'm sure most guys that have this attitude are just jealous!

Comedy is like music in a way. We rarely create things that's aren't similar to someone else's created art. Sometimes things overlap. I've written riffs, only to later realize it's sounds really similar to something else. I've came up with jokes and then seem basically the same punchline somewhere else.
Quit cutting your guests off man! So many times your guests are about to say something interesting you cut them off and never let them finish. @3:27 for example
i trench if that was his actual intention then it definitely went over my head and would be admittedly hilarious. But I think I’ve seen enough of his videos to know it wasn’t intentional. Conan even called him out on it
