You know how sometimes, you find that one character? That character who seems designed and written in such a way to intentionally make you hate them? Yet through it all, something about them makes it so you really can't bring yourself to not like them? That's Tenko for me.

Point is even if she hates men it doesn't necessarily mean she's not interested them, besides from FTE's you can tell she's a bit dump brainwashed girl and believes the whole reason she can't master her pseudo-Aikido is because men exist. Last but not least, dEGeEneRaTE mAlEZz insult implies mostly for the men who would hurt girls which she states lots of times, anyone can relate really one way or another.

I think it's cute that Shuichi ends up falling for Tenko in this mode. I've noticed that his type are high-spirited, supportive and optimistic people (Kaito in his FTEs, Kaede and Tenko in DST). Too bad Tenko's eyes and heart are for Himiko only, haha, but still cute.
